Have you ever wondered why it rains in the worst possible moment?  Does it ever feel like someone is watching you?  Why are you really so scared of the dark, when there is almost always nothing there?

 

The truth is, there are explanations to all of these things, only we as humans lack the knowledge of them.

 

Far above us in the medieval era dwells a kingdom--no, a world--filled with whimsy, fantasy and phenomena of your wildest dreams.  The world dwells above the clouds, filled with rich stone walls, cobblestone homes, water fountains aplenty, and the palaces whose splendor rivals even that of the great King Alderon down below in the human world.  This world is beautiful, massive, and rich.

 

But who could live in this world, you are probably asking yourself, if this happened long, long ago back in the age of medieval living?  If there are no planes, how could people reach this magnificent place?  And if humans did not know of this world, then what could possibly live there?  There is only one simple explanation, and that explanation is the very reality of what lives there: fey.

 

Fey, all sorts of fey.  Predominately fairies, though they are not your average fairy that you read about in a bedtime story.  They are in every sense of the word human, only they are gifted with three things that the mere human does not possess: magic, immortality, and flight.  The range of fey that dwell in the Overworld vary, from fairies, imps, minotaurs, eidolons, vampires, and just about any mythical race.  While it would seem they have a paradise, it may be surprising that they desire something much, much more, more expansive such as the world below.

 

Which has brought them into the disaster that has befallen them today.

 

A young fey, perhaps three hundred years old, ventured into the forbidden world below, sneaking past security with his two friends.  He met many humans, many curious, some kind, and others . . . more power-thirsty than anything.  A dreadful fate befell the three friends: one had been kept by the human King Alderon for his own dark experimental purposes, another died while trying to save him, and the last made it home, but was punished so severely he'd wished that he'd died.  While the majority of the underworld do not know of the existence of the Fey kingdom, King Alderon does, and he's attempting to reign supreme over all the kingdoms of his world.  In doing so he plans to use the one weapon he doesn't have and is known as a forgotten art: magic.  Yes, magic existed within these young fey, and he would stop at nothing to obtain these magics for his own purposes, even if it meant draining the poor fey dry of their magic, killing them in the process of transferring this magic into their own warriors.

 

You have a choice: to be human, or be a member of the mythical race of the Overworld preparing for the greatest of wars between worlds.  If you are a human you wouldn't know anything about fey, unless you serve directly under King Alderon and know of his plans.  If you are of the Overworld you have never been to the main world, but rather have only heard stories and probably yearn to see what it is like.  Travel between the worlds is forbidden for fey, to prevent the very tragedy that the young boy had created.  You may choose most any race for an Overworld dweller, though if I feel it isn't a good fit or is over-powered I may decline the race.

 

The rules consist of:

 

1.) No god-modding.

2.) No auto-hitting or mass slaughter.  This means if you are battling someone don't make your hit automatically meet its target, but rather have it aimed at a player and they choose whether the attack hits or misses.  No mass slaughter means don't kill off a bunch of NPCs without permission.

3.) Go with the plot, and please choose a character that fits well with the world and setting.

4.) Original characters only.  If you would like to use a canon character please modify them until they are your own creation, and rather inspired by a canon character.

5.) When in a group of other people, please post after everyone in your group has posted.  I don't want anyone to fall too far behind.

6.) Keep everything PG-13, please.

7.) Romance is permitted, but again please remember rating restrictions.

8.) Please don't have invincible characters.  While you get to choose whether your character is hit by an attack, don't make them avoid everything or else it seems like god-modding.

9.) Don't be over-powered.

10.) All KH13 rules apply.

11.) This is going to be a heavy world-building roleplay, that will rely heavily on plot and character interaction.  I intend to keep this roleplay going for a considerable length of time, though it may not be entirely fast to update.  Having said that, please try to post at least once every two weeks, but if you are going to be away please let me know and we will make arrangements for your characters.  Should you remain absent for an extended length of time, I reserve the right to utilize your characters as I deem fit for the RP's progression.

If it does end up being a fight. It'l be heavily on Alastor's favor, as he is not only on allied territory to him, but also having the overrall power advantage over some of them. 

 

Alastor is one tough motherfiretrucker to fight against. He will utilize any and all weak links and weaknesses as possible to strike down his foe as fast as possible.

 

If I had to get technical:

 

Alastor will strike at the most fragile but also the ones that can do the most damage (for example Alicia and Rabyiu with their ranged spells and arrows). Going full force on them and taking down one by one. After taking them out he would engage Yev and Jynn on a straight fight. 

 

However that is not saying he will do exactly that, plans change and shit. 

But one thing is for sure, Fighting Alastor now would be the equivalent of having a party of four level 15s fight a boss of level 60 without preparation.

This'l be tough for them, but undeniably cool (they got plot armor so no deaths )

Though they would need ot watch out about angering him, lest Alastor uses his ultimate attack.

 

Haha I was thinking of it in a similar way man! but you might have forgotten about a few things that could happen, ya got Soran standing with you & he's on the opposite side of Raiden. Although Soran's mind is probably in a state of indecisiveness on that now he could stand against Alastor which might change the fight a bit. Jynn would be the main 1 to stand against Alastor in that fight for sure being a guy able to keep up with his speed but I do think Alastor would be just a step up from Jynn's skill level. But Jynn's got the supporters behind him which if Jynn can protect them while they give help the fight could go in Jynn's favor. However in the fights end, whether it be Jynn's group or Alastor who win, it would still be Jynn's group that loss being surrounded by Raiden followers & Raiden himself after & then theres Neena haha       

 

 

I'm not sure that a fight will ensue just yet.  From the looks of things--and from what I've heard--it looks like it's going to be an inquisition first, followed up with a plan.  It would be perhaps foolish and suicidal for Jynn and his party to charge into Raiden's villa without a plan, because they are heavily outmanned and outskilled.

 

Either way, I personally could only see them retreating for the time being if a fight does ensue.  They don't have a chance of winning, or at least the way things stand now.  They also have to decide if the fight is worth it and if it's really in Kilkis Seres' best interests.  It will be interesting to see how it plays out nonetheless. : )

 

Your right on the money there, I do believe it would be a crazy battle if it did happen & I'd love to see just how it goes, but. When you look at it, this mission was meant to be a info gathering one & not straight up battle to Raiden's front door haha Hm... they might be able to gain info from Neena should she meet with Jynn's group. Neena already knows some good info from Raiden which I'm sure Shiva would like to hear. So theres that idea.

Regarding Jari, I am very torn on his appearing anytime soon.  He would probably not step foot back into the Flowering Hyssop, though I thank you very much for remembering him and offering the possibility!  As he heads to the exit he may find the group leaving the bar, recognise some key players, and seek their protection or coin, but it is difficult to find a good stage entrance.

 

What could be better than Aqua being paired with that tree?  I could visualise it now.  Truly love doth bloom on yonder greens.

As for Jari, you could always pull a change of heart on him? have him just suddenly not care what Alastor might do to him after/just meeting with Jynn & his group & seeing how strong & brave they are or whatever & then have Jari offer them info on raiden knowing he might be killed for it. But at least he wouldn't go on living in fear type of thing, ya know? Also I remember everyone's characters! any character could be used in some way to create something awesome.

A pretty good idea regarding Jari.  He's probably sick of the terrified foxchild stereotype (even if it is a true one) and act on his own volition against Raiden in some shape or form, but coming back to a place you were almost killed and where Alastor could possibly frequent is almost foolhardy.  For him, though, I think I'll do that.  He's my favourite character out of my current lot of PCs.

 

I kind of wish I could remember everyone's characters.  I only know names and one line of information from rare to less involved characters, whereas the more detailed and elaborated characters I can spout a flurry of information quickly.

Haha I was thinking of it in a similar way man! but you might have forgotten about a few things that could happen, ya got Soran standing with you & he's on the opposite side of Raiden. Although Soran's mind is probably in a state of indecisiveness on that now he could stand against Alastor which might change the fight a bit. Jynn would be the main 1 to stand against Alastor in that fight for sure being a guy able to keep up with his speed but I do think Alastor would be just a step up from Jynn's skill level. But Jynn's got the supporters behind him which if Jynn can protect them while they give help the fight could go in Jynn's favor. However in the fights end, whether it be Jynn's group or Alastor who win, it would still be Jynn's group that loss being surrounded by Raiden followers & Raiden himself after & then theres Neena haha       

 

 

 

Your right on the money there, I do believe it would be a crazy battle if it did happen & I'd love to see just how it goes, but. When you look at it, this mission was meant to be a info gathering one & not straight up battle to Raiden's front door haha Hm... they might be able to gain info from Neena should she meet with Jynn's group. As for Jari, you could always pull a change of heart on him? have him just suddenly not care what Alastor might do to him after/just meeting with Jynn & his group & seeing how strong & brave they are or whatever & then have Jari offer them info on raiden knowing he might be killed for it. But at least he wouldn't go on living in fear type of thing, ya know? Also I remember everyone's characters! any character could be used in some way to create something awesome.

Okay, so I'm thinking that the feast at Raiden's villa should probably commence soon so we don't get stuck in one place for too long.  I think I'm going to set the date for Tuesday December 20th at 2:00 PM to be the close-out time for the current events, and then we'll time-skip to the feast.  That should give everyone sufficient time to tie up loose ends there.  Also, Kunivas, if you wanted to get Soren in there that might be a great place to do it, otherwise you can have him join in on the feast.

 

I feel like there's some characters that I'm failing to involve into the plot.  Does anyone have characters that they feel don't have much purpose or are pretty stuck in one place?  I'm especially wondering with Scrap, Yuffie, and Stardust, and if you guys had a plan with the twins, Gel, Helios, and Henry.  It might be interesting if they all head back to Sondon to help out, but that's up to you guys.  I just don't want you to feel bored.

Agreed entirely.  It's going to be interesting to see how it all plays out.  There's a few things that are starting to come to a head, and it will be fun when battles do finally start to take place.  I think it would be in Jynn's best interests to take things slow and gather information before planning an attack, and I really enjoy your thoughts on Neena meeting up with them.  Knowing Neena, however, I kind of doubt that she's going to divulge information to help the queen.  She seems like she's looking out for herself and her best interests and doesn't want much in helping either queen or lord right now, but time will tell if she decides to pick a side.  I do wonder, however, if her mind will change when she discovers that the separation of the two worlds is just killing the one below.

 

A pretty good idea regarding Jari.  He's probably sick of the terrified foxchild stereotype (even if it is a true one) and act on his own volition against Raiden in some shape or form, but coming back to a place you were almost killed and where Alastor could possibly frequent is almost foolhardy.  For him, though, I think I'll do that.  He's my favourite character out of my current lot of PCs.

Yeah, I wouldn't blame him for not wishing to enter the Flowering Hyssop again after his terrifying meeting with Alastor.  If you would like to involve him again he could be affiliated with the redheaded kitsune from the bar (who still needs a name besides "the redhead").  They could meet up at the Burrow place that Jari calls home, or some other place where they could gossip and swap information, if you'd like to involve him that way.  I wanted the redhead to play a greater role, but right now I think he's just going to be a filler NPC since I don't know what to do with him (and I also have plenty of characters without him).

 

Just wait till Alastor gets a wyvern for him to ride...like his ancestor. Back when Dragons and wyverns were more common, nowadays most of them have been hunted off by Feys and especially witchers.

Soren's motives and goals aren't immediately obvious to observers, but they are as follows: He is at odds with Queen Shiva, yet was employed by her regardless for his skills, not his personality or relationship with her. In truth, he is more supporting of Lord Raiden's ideals yet has never stated it aloud, but he has wanted to join him for a while. His encounter with The Infiltrator has presented him that opportunity (While subsequently being dragged along silent and on a proverbial leash.) and now he is here, hoping to soon pledge his allegiance if Lord Raiden is all he's cracked up to be.

I kind of wish I could remember everyone's characters.  I only know names and one line of information from rare to less involved characters, whereas the more detailed and elaborated characters I can spout a flurry of information quickly.

Okay, so I'm thinking that the feast at Raiden's villa should probably commence soon so we don't get stuck in one place for too long.  I think I'm going to set the date for Tuesday December 20th at 2:00 PM to be the close-out time for the current events, and then we'll time-skip to the feast.  That should give everyone sufficient time to tie up loose ends there.  Also, Kunivas, if you wanted to get Soren in there that might be a great place to do it, otherwise you can have him join in on the feast.

 

I feel like there's some characters that I'm failing to involve into the plot.  Does anyone have characters that they feel don't have much purpose or are pretty stuck in one place?  I'm especially wondering with Scrap, Yuffie, and Stardust, and if you guys had a plan with the twins, Gel, Helios, and Henry.  It might be interesting if they all head back to Sondon to help out, but that's up to you guys.  I just don't want you to feel bored.

So heres a good offer for her, Neena's marriage to prince Jynn that comes with all the riches of royalty life haha I'm totally playing ya here but that would be a funny thing to see happen haha just the look on their faces would be a great laugh haha It's hard to tell which side Neena would choose, I sometimes have thoughts that she'd join Midnea since she isn't really on either Shiva or Raiden's side but who knows Also I'm all good with my characters & their roles in the RP. Oh! & the way I see Henry's group going is theres no way they'd head back to Sondon kingdom as they just don't like em haha but I think they might end up going out to find Henry since its late at night & then find him fighting Vark, then maybe after that they might just use Helios to head to the overworld. In truth, he is more supporting of Lord Raiden's ideals yet has never stated it aloud, but he has wanted to join him for a while. His encounter with The Infiltrator has presented him that opportunity (While subsequently being dragged along silent and on a proverbial leash.) and now he is here, hoping to soon pledge his allegiance if Lord Raiden is all he's cracked up to be.

Baxter's not gonna be happy about this when he finds out haha & Darn man, poor Shiva's just getting betrayed left & right these days haha & ruler Raiden's gaining quite the lot of manpower, more so than what I thought if Soran's joining him. I kinda have a thought in my head that your wanting him to see Raiden's strength before joining him but i don't know how that'll work out or are you meaning a different way, like say how he rules a kingdom? or something?

Yeah, I wouldn't blame him for not wishing to enter the Flowering Hyssop again after his terrifying meeting with Alastor.  If you would like to involve him again he could be affiliated with the redheaded kitsune from the bar (who still needs a name besides "the redhead").  They could meet up at the Burrow place that Jari calls home, or some other place where they could gossip and swap information, if you'd like to involve him that way.  I wanted the redhead to play a greater role, but right now I think he's just going to be a filler NPC since I don't know what to do with him (and I also have plenty of characters without him).

December 20th sounds good on my end, and if Stardust needs to go on that egregiously fun vacation that he/she so very much deserves I doubt the feast will have too much plot intrigue.  I think it dishes out more character involvement and worldbuilding, both of which I think will be perfectly great and allow those outside of the feast to catch up timewise.  With that said, Stardust, go out and show the world.  Enjoy your vacation, and happy holidays!

I wasn't going to write about that, but then I thought "Man, the post is going to be very short, maybe I should give an insight of little Eli when she was brought to the King Emperor and proved that she wasn't one to be trifled with, not by nobles at least, even if she barely had 20 years" which is a kid in elvish years.

 

Back when I created Rabs (a couple of years ago), a few of my notes said that she was indeed a target to be destroyed by one of the King's subordinates, a noble man close to him, who was against Eli's "adoption" by Ethiriel of the Elves of Light (nameless at the time) which ended up triggering a magical self defense mechanism in Eli in the form of summoning a sword to impale the one trying to attack her before unconsciously casting a forbidden spell of destruction through the sword.

 

Said spell was not able to be mantained properly because Eli wasn't even aware of the spell or its lethal effects so in the end it disintegrated the noble in front of both King and Queen. The reason why neither one of the rules did something about it was because the noble was the one attacking Eli, not the other way. If the noble had survived, then the Judges would had to strip him of his rank and title for attacking a child in the presence of His Majesty and his wife.

Judges are the ones who have the real "authority" in the Northern Continet of Caligo. It is within their authority to strip a ruler of their position (they are like the police in a way), even if said ruler is either King Asura or Queen Leviathan from the City of Heimdall, if the situation called for it. 

 

The order of Judges, or Knights of the Round (bless Final Fantasy for the name) is composed of thirteen Knights, any new candidate has to be handpicked by one of the Judges to be their successor, said person is one who doesn't want the power, because if a person desires the power they immediately lose the right to be a Judge. This sistem was proposed by the, apparent, last Great Drake, Valdra The Incandescent, as a mean to stop evil rulers from abusing their subjects. With the passing of the years they added more things to do to help the citizens of all Caligo.

 

Eli's story is, to this day, still very incomplete, My notes change all the time, but those first years of her life are something I keep unchanged.

I'm glad you like the small glimpse of Eliltari's past, and I hope I can keep writing flashbacks from her early years. She did suffered a lot of discrimination back in the day from the nobles of Exire for being one of the Stranded.

The only character I don't have involved in the plot is Rhaedyn Thane, but literally he can show up whenever he damn well pleases - it's sort of the thing with the Ithurians.

Hmm, yeah, I thought about his character not too long ago but I'm having difficulty trying to figure out how to incorporate him.  Once things escalate and there's open war throughout the Overworld it may be a perfect time for him to show up, probably proving to be a difficult boss.
