Elrandir 783 Posted August 4, 2017 (edited) - Rabiyu, Aurion and Aura - Raiden's Villa - "I think you hurt the Maiden's feelings, Master Henry, " Rabiyu said while looking at the retreating form of Everyth, "Not a good thing to do." Aurion looked at his sister and shrugged, Aura did the same. "A woman's heart is a fickle thing, just like their emotions," Aurion said, "That's what most people said, of course." The younger siblings snorted and shook her head. "Whatever you say Brother," Aura said while smiling, "whatever you say." Rabiyu felt a small surge of a familiar arcane energy behind her, she turned around and found herself looking at the fuzzy silhouette of one petite fox girl. "Mistress, I come to offer one last report regarding the situation of Kilkis Seres and Queen Shiva. Queen Shiva made one last speech regarding the humans, and as expected, she is focused on making humankind seems like they want to take over the Overworld. Queen Shiva as begun her march towards Mystras as we speak, it will be some time before they arrive to their destination. Their forces equal that of thousands, from mounted flying units to ground ones. A considerable sized unit of healing units have been ordered to stay behind to offer their help when it's needed." the young girl said, "And as for my other assignment, I am ashamed to report that I was unable to find anything else. Security around Queen Shiva is way high for anyone to approach, her retainers made sure of it. What I did found is that apparently the Prince had a falling out of sorts with the Queen regarding her withholding information from him." The High Elf hummed for a few seconds, thinking about the different outcomes of the war. "Ammy, I think it is time for you to return to the North. I will make sure that Lord Raiden is informed about Queen Shiva's situation." Rabiyu said calmly, "Sifrei and myself will be taking our place in this battle and, if anything important happen, I will report to the King and the Tide Mother." The silhouette of the fox girl bowed before disappearing, leaving Rabiyu to ponder about the Queen and her forces. "What's wrong? "Aurion asked, "Did something happened?" Rabiyu looked at the siblings and Henry, giving them a little nod. "It's time, they are coming. " she answered, "Be ready, take what you need and be ready to move at any moment." She had to talk with Raiden, and she had to do it now. The High Elf made her way into the house, looking for Lord Raiden. - Sifrei Mond - Raiden's Villa - "I do not mind it if that is what you want," Sifrei answered Mariel, "and if you do not want to return to the Divine City know that you are welcome to come to the north." The Archangel then looked at Alastor and nodded. "I completely agree with you, Master Alastor. It is imperative that the healers are dealt with, or else this battle will be meaningless. We also need to take into consideration that we have humans among us." Sifrei said, "Their abilities may be good, but they will need more support from our own healers. They have weapons and armors capable of resisting the might of the feys now, but their bodies are another different thing. " Sifrei didn't think less of the humans, on the contrary, he knew that they could do great things, he was just worried for them. He was going to speak once again, but one familiar presence stopped him from doing it, that of his elven friend. "I am afraid that that will be of little use now, Mariel of the 7th Guardian Legion," the voice of Rabiyu said, "And before you ask, my name is Hisie, I am in charge of surveillance for Lord Raiden." The Archangel looked at the Elf with a curious look on his face, but then he remembered that she stopped using her real name while working under Raiden's orders. "Excuse me for interrupting, Your Lordship, but I bring urgent news regarding the Queen, "Rabiyu said flatly," One of my subordinates reported that the forces of Kilkis Seres have begun to march towards Mystras. Their forces equal to that of thousands, with their healers remaining on the rear." The High Elf then looked directly to Raiden, looking at him square in the eyes. "While our attempts to learn more about the Queen and her strategy have failed, thanks to her retainers, we did found that the Prince is no longer one hundred percent supportive of the Queen's ways," Rabiyu said without any kind of emotion, "We suppose that this situation is a hit to the Queen's morale, no matter how strong she appears to be, and I am sure that that will also affect the morale of Kilkis Seres's forces, or at least those who can see the truth within the Queen." Rabiyu was ready to move, she had been since days before, now it was the time to move. "While my intention was to report to you about Kilkis Seres' forces I also wanted to ask you something," she said while looking between Raiden and Alastor, "Will my services be needed on the battlefield, or do you have another use for them. In my weeks under your charge I found no ill will from your guests, they are just curious, however, I suspect that our most important guest is up to no good behind the scene." Midnea, the Black Witch, she had been in her best behavior, if she called it that, but her demeanor told the Elf other things, she was scheming something, the question was, what? Vaude 536 Posted August 5, 2017 (edited) - Lord Raiden, speaking with Alastor, Mariel, Sifrei, and Rabiyu - Raiden did not have to take very long to formulate a response mentally toward Alastor as the man set a hand on Raiden's shoulder, but the situation changed rather quickly with so much discussion, and as a result he waited patiently for a moment to interject. It only got more complicated once Rabiyu stepped into the conversation with an ample amount of juicy information on Shiva's army and its morale. Raiden looked at Rabiyu with a strong amount of surprise at how she could have received all of this information with so great a distance between the capital and Mystras, but that faded soon enough upon recollection of her astral projection abilities. Again, he really needed this useful ability, but such learning can wait until after this war. "Thank you for this news, Mistress Hisie," he acknowledged gratuitously, giving her a Mystran bow. "Thousands is a sizable army, but with greater size comes greater need to maintain morale, and as all have mentioned this is what will be a great fracture point in taking down this army. Not all in the queen's army will be as devoted and endeared to Shiva, and if we shake their confidence with enough raw power and enough propaganda we can greatly reduce their numbers by having them rout against their generals' orders. Even though our own numbers aren't as potent, our combined forces with the world below are made up of battle-hardened and hand-picked individuals roughened by experience. "Alastor, you will have a choice as to whether you serve as our general or as the chief of our shock troops. Your ability to lead is as strong as your ability to maneuver, yet to pierce the defenses would greatly aid our situation. Cleaving our way to the medics is of high priority, and to do that I think our 'friend' would be of great use to us as a shock trooper as well. You have tested his ability. What do you think? Also, after the war, we can propose to him and the others that travelled with him an opportunity to live here or return home. Either way, an eye will have to be on him every now and again. He is too powerful and too much of a loose cannon to be unmonitored. "Mariel, as much as I hate to ask this of you, your strength may be of greater assistance to us in battle than in communication. However, the spies in the capital will need someone strong to keep them in order. I will leave the choice to you as well. "Hisie, your magical expertise will most likely turn the tides back to our favour even with our lack of numbers. Mystras holds many lightning mages, and your water magic will serve as a great symbiote for electric attacks and defenses. Combine that with your speed and you can hold off enemy forces while staying out of danger's path." He glanced over to Sifrei after speaking with the other individuals, a confused look on his face. "It saddens me to say that I do not know much of your abilities, Sifrei, so I will leave your positioning to your discretion. That, however, will have to be the end of our meeting unless any or all of you are willing to sit in the immediate war council which will take place in half an hour. This will be the final moments of peace before war's darkness consumes us all." His own words seemed to damage him as he turned away, thinking about his city. Buildings have already started to construct barricades in preparation for the war, but those buildings outside of the city walls will see the most damage and were the most unsafe. He would have to sound the alarm and alert the masses to hide out in the city before any fighting would take place. Unity through honour sounded like something shared by both Raiden and Shiva, but who knew what Shiva's soldiers would do? Certainly not himself. ((Just a little fun fact, but shock troops/troopers are soldiers specialising in piercing through formations and attacking sensitive war efforts in the rear. I figure who better to do that than Alastor, Henry, and a few other individuals with high survivability and power?)) - Jari Coriander, currently speaking with Elia and Morana - Jari listened in as well, smiling at the queen's creative and interesting choice of words that seemed to inspire all manners of individuals around him. Elia was especially inspired, the girl yelling her head off in a cheery manner that made Jari chuckle, but when the offer came up of a horse or pegasus he shrank back in fear. He never was much of a fan of horses or even pegasuses, probably because of that centaur incident he had several years back, or probably because his build was not altogether suited for horseback. "Sorry, I can't ride. My tail's too bushy for being on a horse, and besides I've never tried to like them. They might not even like me, either," he commented, eyeing the offered black pegasus suspiciously. He was rather right in that the horse did not like him. If anything, it was perfectly content with the thought of running him over, but luckily Jari did not read between the snorts and neighs. "I'll definitely see you around, though! I'll stick with Morana in the meantime, or probably learn how to use this blade of mine a bit better," he piped, patting his sheathed dagger that he retrieved from Alastor with a toothy smirk on his face. "I've been practicing!" Edited August 5, 2017 by Vaude
Elrandir 783 Posted August 5, 2017 - Rabiyu and Sifrei - Raiden's Villa -Both Rabiyu and Sifrei listened to what Raiden had to say, his words made sense. The Elf carefully listened as Raiden and Alastor spoke about Henry, he was a strange one, powerful, but she thought he was a wild card."Then it will be done, Your Lordship," Rabiyu answered while bowing slightly, "Altough, I would like to request that if Master Alastor assumes command of the shock troops, that I can work with him. The faster we take down the Queen's support division, the faster the tide will turn in our favor."Sifrei looked at his judge companion, then back at Raiden."I understand, Your Lordhsip. It is true that you didn't had enough time to witness my abilities in combat," he said calmly, "Not when I was taking care of our "punisher" friend in the world below. I am good on both combat and support so that won't be a problem, I can fight and heal at the same time."Rabiyu turned to Sifrei and tugged on his sleeve to get his attention."Actually, I have a request for you, Sifrei, " She said softly, "If Lord Raiden grants me permission to join Master Alastor, then I ask that you join with the human siblings in my stead. Guide and protect them while they are fighting, something tells me that they will need it."The Archangel looked at the Elf for a few second, she was actually worried for them, something she almost never did with anyone, the choice was obvious, he was going to accept her request. Rabiyu then looked at Raiden once again."I will be joining you through the war council, Your Lordship," she said to Raiden, "I wish to be present in this discussion." Sora's Baby 729 Posted August 5, 2017 ~Aqua: Still stalking following Yev~ Aqua nodded at Yev's words and a soft smile played on her lips. It wasn't all bad, she had met Yev and despite the fact she had lost her only other friend in the process it was worth it. She would just have to make it up to Elia after the war if they both lived. She made a promise to herself that she'd live long enough to make things up to Elia again at least. Her nerves calmed down slightly at the thought of the promise. She now had another reason to live. She let out one last shaky breath. Now much calmer and with a clear mind, she began to think about the lessons she had been trained in. She repeated the list over and over again in her mind. Every lesson would now become her key to survival. After she felt like she wouldn't forget any part of her training her mind moved over to the topic of Shiva's words. Aqua had to admit that Shiva knew how to get an army ready to battle. Her words were certainly inspiring, even if Aqua herself disagreed with them. It was almost dishearting in a way to see how blind her hatred truly was. She shook her head slightly. There was no time to dwell on that now. Afterall, the battle field was no place for her morals. Endless Thundaga 533 Posted August 6, 2017 Jynn Venas-On route to Mystras Dawson-Joining Shiva's army Along the way, Jynn notices a bulge on the ground, and it was expanding, clearly there was someone, or something, underneath. In an attempt to protect Shiva, he gets Mel to trot in her path, with Jynn unsheathing his sword. The bulge then bursts with dirt raining down from the small explosion. A feline-like fey lands on the dirt. It was Dawson. "Man, I've been trying to recruit for the war with no avail! I swear, her Highness could've at least given me a right to fight for Kilkes Seres when she gave me a pardon to enter the city! I swear............." He paused when his eyes met Jynn. And the prince lowered his weapon upon realizing that he is reunited with his old friend. The Palico cleared his throat. "Hey Jynn....." The prince quietly replies. "Hey Dawson. It's..... been a while...." There was a long pause. This was quite a sudden reunion. It's been a couple centuries since the two last met, Jynn almost begins to tear up. Dawson looks at the prince's sword. "I see that you kept that blade in great shape." Jynn sheathed the sword, and got Mel to side step, revealing Shiva's presence. Dawson gasped and immediately kneels. "Your Highness! I'm sorry for intruding......." He paused. It was an awkward moment, but he wanted to help, especially if it meant fighting alongside Jynn. "I just wanted to join this war. I believed that you could use any help you could get......."
Mystics Apprentice 2,397 Posted August 6, 2017 --Queen Shiva -- leaving Kilkis Seres-- Shiva shifted her stead to face her son, surprise apparent on her pallid face. It was wonderful to hear those words, to meet those eyes so very much like her own and yet so different. She extended a hand to grasp his own, giving it a tight squeeze. "I am so sorry, Jynn," she said softly. "What I've done--everything I'm doing--is for the best for our futures. I saw no reason to bring you into something that you didn't necessarily need to be apart of. I've wanted to protect you, truly." Of course, this all had already been said; there was no point rehashing a discussion that neither could come to a mutual agreement upon. Still, he loved her, and she loved him. That, out of everything, was what mattered most. "When this is over, there will be no more secrets. I will tell you everything, whether it be something you need to know or not." We'll even talk about your father, she thought to herself, though she couldn't bring herself to speak of Raiden now. Not when they were about to face him on the battlefield. "No matter what happens," Shiva added softly, giving her son a sideways glance. "Please know that no one is more dear to my heart than you, my beloved son. "As for our troops, let us stay together, at least for the time being. We may need to re-strategize depending on what happens in the battle ahead, but I am hoping to keep our numbers strong, and to force Raiden's troops back as far as possible. Knowing Raiden, he must already know that we are on our way, and will try to meet us before we make it to Mystras. Should that happen, I would hate for you and some troops to meet his entire resistance alone. He would capture you and attempt to force my hand. No, it would be best for us to stay together." Moments later, Dawson came popping up, pronouncing his desire to join the war. She watched the young palico reunite with her son, a smile breaking through the ice. "Very well, your aid is most welcome. Dawson, isn't it? Welcome back. It will be good for the prince to work alongside you." --Elia Cabret -- En route to Mystras-- "Well, okay," she said solemnly, giving Jari a long, saddened look. "I'm sure that Snow would like you, though. He's very, very nice." At this Elia grasped the horse's snout, to which it neighed and shook its head furiously, nostrils flared. Truthfully it seemed rather displeased by Elia, but she mistook it as a gesture of playfulness and laughed. The raven-haired fairy nodded toward Morana and Jari, slowly riding away. "Well, I guess I will be seeing both of you around. Take care, now, and try not to fight!" With that she kicked off into the sky with Snow, joining the other pegasus knights in flight. --King Alderon -- In Mystian Library with Midnea-- The king knelt on the marble flooring before Midnea and the chess set, his smile reaching the corners of his eyes, where wrinkles were starting to form. The past few years of stress and anguish had done a number on the human king, where age was slowly creeping along his strong form. Something that Midnea would never experience, and yet would watch upon Alderon. "Ah, an advisor in the royal court, and yet you have never picked up a chess set? But then I suppose our society does take ill to women having any sort of sense when it comes to battle. What fools." He grasped one of Midnea's hands from her lap, looking up into her eyes from where he knelt. "I know that I have been busy lately and haven't given you my proper attention, but when this is over I plan to change that. There is so much that I desire to show you, to teach you, to share with you"--he nodded in the direction in the chess set with a chuckle--"including chess. I will come back from this alive, milady. You have my word." He rose from his place on the floor, leaning forward and offering Midnea a brief kiss, his whiskers rough. It lasted but for a moment, before he stood and turned on heel, his armored boots clicking along the floor and announcing his departure almost as loudly as his arrival. --Curvis Sourati -- Raiden's Villa-- The brunet's lips were in a fine line as he listened to what Arthur had to say, eyes shadowed as he kept his head low. Yes, he was under the same delusion that the rest were under, that he himself had been under for far too long. There would be no convincing him otherwise, he knew. "I see your point, Arthur," Curvis said finally. "But, could it be that we're fighting nature? Trying to survive when the human race is supposed to go extinct? Of course, I want to live. I want our great great great grandchildren to have a place to call home, but at what cost are we willing to purchase this redemption?" Curvis rose from the ground abruptly, brushing off his pants from pollen and grass. He finally met his friend's eye, his widening upon what he found: fear. Arthur was afraid. Curvis was afraid, too. It had suddenly occurred to him how very small that they both were in this massive universe, in this very conflict that had been building up for hundreds of years. He clapped Arthur on the shoulder, a faint smile waning on his face. "Thanks, Arthur, truly. You know that I'm looking out for you, too." 2 Nero Kunivas and Stardustblade358 reacted to this
Mystics Apprentice 2,397 Posted August 8, 2017 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UlKI6Qa_ogg The sun beat red against the soldiers' armor as they rode out for war, near as red as the blood that was undoubtedly going to be shed that day. The leaves of the forests' trees rustled overhead, with not a single animal to be traced. It seemed as though they could eerily detect the foreboding battle ahead. Across the way stands your opponents, whether they be under the banner of Kilkis Seres, or the rebellion of Mystras. They met you halfway on your march, as many of you have predicted, just south of the village of Milos. While this confrontation is likely earlier than your expectations of war, you are still prepared and well-armed for combat. Below is the battle formations for this war. Please remain in your flank, for your fellow teammates rely on you. Should you choose to leave at a later time, try to keep the potential vulnerability of your teammates in mind. The storm troopers, consisting of six elite NPCs and Alastor, Henry, and Rabiyu, will participate in their own flank, between the center flank and the one on the right (Shiva and Maxis' flanks). Should they get pushed back, they would result in being separated into their respective flanks of Mystras. Flank 1 Flank 2 Flank 3 There are three healers in each flank, which reside at the back of the battlefield. Once they are eliminated, however, you will have to rely on your own resourcefulness for survival. Current healers standing: Kilkis Seres: Left flank (1); Center flank (3), Right flank (2+Elia). Mystras: Left flank (3); Center (3); Right (2). Pushing an enemy back will be determined by me and announced. Until you receive an announcement, do not assume that you have made further ground on your enemy. You may challenge any combatant in the flank opposing you, though there are some special battle rules, as well as rank. The rules are as follows: Exclusive Battle Rules No killing off characters without the permission of the player controlling that character. No controlling other people’s characters. No auto hits Please keep battle posts within 1-2 reasonably sized paragraphs, with no more than roughly 250-500 words, and a minimum of five sentences. Short posts are key to quicker responses. The player that you engage in combat has 72 hours to respond with a counter-attack. If the player doesn’t respond within that time frame, that player will sustain an injury and that battle will be forfeit. Please be reasonable in sustaining damage. This is war, where people will be injured, retreat, and, yes, die. Some characters will likely not make it through the war. Invincibility will only increase the duration of battle and make it less enjoyable for everyone. There will be medics on either side of the battlefield, or at least until they are eliminated. Once damaged to a certain extent, you will have the option of attempting a retreat or risk being killed by your opponent. I will trust everyone’s judgment on when to call it quits, but if I see a character avoiding too much or taking too much damage without being healed/dying, I will call it out and they may not receive the same freedom throughout the rest of the war with their character(s). Please don’t abuse this rule. Battle formation has been determined and will be placed in flanks. You will have a starting point and objective in your position. You will have the option of moving from your position, but be wary that this may leave your flank vulnerable and cause complications for your allies. A shortage on one flank may lead to harm. Blood and some gore is still permitted, though please keep the rating at PG-13 for the sake of KH13. Please follow the battle rating system provided above. This will determine how many characters that you can take on in a fight at a time based on your abilities in combat. And, of course . . . . Your battle rating. These rankings are really only meant to determine how many opponents that you can take on at once, and do not mean that a character with a higher rank will demolish one of a lower. Battle Ratings (5-30): Legend: 5-9: 1 normal-lvl NPC, or 1 player. 10-15: 2 normal-lvl NPCs, or 1 player; 16-20: 3 NPCs, or 1-2 players; 21-29: 4-5 normal-lvl NPCs, or 2 players. 30: 6 normal-lvl NPCs, 3-4 players. Stardustblade358 806 Posted August 9, 2017 - Helios - Front Flank - Side: Kilkis Seres - The front flank was most likely the first to shed blood. They would be the ones to 'break the ice'. To charge and begin the push for victory. Helios was part of this flank. He did not seek to shed blood...but he would not allow the soldiers of Mystras to cause slaughter to his side either. As he flew above he watched for an opening, soldiers of the front clashing against one another. Shield against shield, sword against sword, lances and arrows flying across the sky, colorful sparks of magic surging among the masses. He had to be careful. He had trained for this moment, but he was mortal no less. The bigger he transformed, the more energy it would take. He couldn't allow himself to burn out too early, even with potions on his side. He saw a chance. An empty space between soldiers as they backed away to regain their poise, getting ready to charge again. He spun in the air, diving down across the air, straight into the battlefield. He aimed for that space, concentrating as he reached it just before they clashed, a large puff of white smoke suddenly covering the area, blinding the soldiers. Coughs erupted as they waved their hands and weapons. "What the hell?!" "Smoke bombs?!" "Wait, what is that?!" From within the smoke, a figure slowly formed, rising as striking blue eyes pieced through. With a thunderous roar and a flap of his grand wings, Helios, in his Manticore form, pushed the smoke out of the area to reveal himself. The push of the wind pushed a few soldiers off their feet, others taking a single step back in surprise. His lion body covered in white fur, his wings and tail black as onyx, his eyes still his, still blue. He turned to face the enemy side, growling loudly as he did, only to be met by dangerous and fearful eyes. "(Now let's scare some sense into them.)" Helios thought, roaring once more. "Is...is that...?!" "Manticore!" "Look out! SHAPESHIFTER!" With that, Helios charged, using his large wings to push and knock soldiers down. He would avoid being deadly...but that didn't mean that he wouldn't act the part. Soldiers would see this creature of mythology, the only Manticore on the field as far, focusing his attacks solely on the soldiers of Mystras. A creature sided with Kilkis Seres. - Arthur - Front Flank - Side: Rebellion of Mystras - Arthur had never been to war. He had read many scriptures and heard many stories of those before him. Of heroic acts and fights. Of horrific sights and experiences. Of the side effects and the feelings. It was much more overwhelming than Arthur could have ever imagine. Soldiers, friends, allies, side by side, walking with solemn looks on their faces, dead men and women walking to fight until their bodies and souls could no longer give anymore. And he was among them, ready to give up the very same for his king, his world, his alliance. Of course he was still scared. To be scared of death was normal. But he was a mortal among demi-god like beings with magic and of the sorts, he could feel his stomach curl uncomfortably. He had been gifted with enhancement for his sword and his shield, but he still worried. But that only fueled him further. He would fight. He would prove himself and humanity's worth. They would not be pushed in the shadows. Soon they reached the battlefield, and so the war began, solders running forward as they began to clash with the enemy side. Arthur followed their lead, running forward with sword and shield at hand. He could already see his sword forming sparks, reacting to his adrenaline. He let out a warrior's roar as he saw the enemy rushing towards him, their swords quickly clashing. Arthur pushed forward against the fey, only pulling back to spin around them and slam them with his shield, bashing them hard against their side. The fey stumbled, turning to strike against Arthur as the two began to clash, their swords sparking with steel and magic at contact. He would not die here. Not today. - Morana - Center Flank - Side: Kilkis Seres - If you were in the Center Flank, you were fighting along side Morana. She wasn't powerful, but she was resourceful. As arrows and magic came showering down upon their flank from the enemy side, Morana was quick to act. "Behind me!" She called, taking a single acorn from her bag. She slammed it into the ground in front of her, her magic beginning to show as just as suddenly as it had been thrown, the acorn burst through the earth, growing into a full grown tree of years of age in a matter of seconds, forming a protective shield between them and the upcoming fire. Arrows and magic hit the tree, but otherwise kept the group behind it mostly unharmed. "Use trees for cover! I'll keep bringing in more up front!" Morana called, hurrying back out into the field. As she ran across, she drove acorns and fruit seeds into the ground, full grown trees bursting distributed across the field as she ran, serving as made up shields against the upcoming attacks. One stray enemy soldier charged at her, aiming to stop her impromptu monuments. Morana waited for the last moment to dodge the swing from his sword, and instead grabbed a hold of one of his legs. Before she realized what she was doing the aging process around the skin she held to began to advance rapidly. The skin began to retract and contract, before the pain and smell of decomposition hit the air. Much like a burn, the skin began to erode away into bone, the pain causing the soldier to scream. Morana let go quickly, stepping back as she watched the soldier collapse, holding his leg in pain and disbelief. "I'm sorry." Morana hummed, before running off. Hopefully that would keep him from doing anything he would regret. If the bacteria didn't kill him first.
rikunobodyxiii 700 Posted August 9, 2017 {Mariel: Rebellion of Mystras; Center Flank} Mariel stood with the soldiers in the center flank of the combined troops of Lord Raiden and King Alderon, still in human guise. It had been a long time since she had assumed her true form. This one just felt comfortable at this point. Plus, there was still the question of what Alderon would think if one of his scouts turned into an angel. She figured she'd wait until the heat of battle to turn when it could be unnoticed or less likely acted upon. "'Once more into the breach...'" she thought as she looked around at the faces around her. She had considered still going off to help Raiden's spys, but he had asked her to stay for the battle and she couldn't deny him that. Plus, she couldn't lie to herself and say she didn't look forward to the coming battle. Combat was in her blood. What she had been taught since birth. What she did every damn day. But she had to remember the purpose. This was a means to an end. Peace. Taking a deep breath, Mariel moved along the lines to take up a place by Sifrei. While she had not known him long, it was good to have the company of another angel after all this time. He might not understand the duty she was under, but it was nice to have acceptance of at least one of her brethren of what she had done.
Elrandir 783 Posted August 9, 2017 - Rabiyu - Rebellion of Mystras; between center and right flank -The sound of battle was all around Rabiyu, in the past few days she had come to dislike such sound, something to do with her dreams, or were they nightmares? She remembered screams, fire, and destruction, but she wasn't sure where they were coming from. She came to realize that it was not the time to stand around, it was time to fight, she was surrounded by four enemies after all."Listen up Elf, drop to your knees and surrender, the Queen will have mercy if you do."The bulkier one said coldly, while the other three smirked."Or we won't be responsible for what could happen to you."When they didn't recieve any answer, the bulkier thrusted his sword towards Rabiyu's chest. The other three feys watched as the sword came out from the white haired elf's back."Wrong asnwer! I guess this is what we can expect from-"The fey felt pain in his abdomen, and a cold sensation slowly covering his whole body. He looked down and saw how a dagger was stuck on his abdomen and ice was slowly making it's way around the wound."Please, do not try that again," Rabiyu said flatly, "I do not wish to spill much blood in this fight."The other feys stared, how was it possible that the elf was still alive! the sword was...no, there was a small spot covered in mist on the elf's chest and back, that had to mean something! The three feys attacked Rabiyu at the same time, one threw a fireball, another casted a lightning bolt and the last one used her spear. The attacks failed, or rather, they found the wrong target. Rabiyu landed on the shoulders of the female fey, and in a quick movement she spun around and snapped the fey's neck. The last two fey watched in horror as two of their friends were killed, one by the elf and the other by them, this was not going to go unpaid. They focused once again to cast another wave of spells, but both found that two rock spires found their way into their chest. The last thing they say was the crazy elf in front of them."We need to put our plan into action," Rabiyu thought to herself, "the healers need to go down." - Sifrei Mond and Aeternum Siblings - Rebellion of Mystras - Center Flank -The Siblings were told that they had to remain close to Sifrei. Why? they didn't know, but apparently Rabiyu told the Archangel to take care of them while they were fighting."And so it begins," Aurion said, "Let's hope this is the right answer, and that the result is a brighter future, for both human and fey."Aura looked at Sifrei and sighed."Do you really need to stay close to us?" she asked, "isn't it better for you to-"Sifrei shook his head and looked at the younger sibling."Eliltari asked me to do this. She is my friend, and I will try my best to not let her down," Sifrei answered, "I will be here to help you, no matter what. We just have to focus and stick together."The Siblings then noticed a woman who stood next to the Archangel, she didn't looked like a fey, but apparently she knew Sifrei. The Archangel on the other hand looked at Mariel and nodded."Let us do our best today," he said while putting his hand on Mariel's shoulder, "so feys and humans can have a better tomorrow." Mystics Apprentice 2,397 Posted August 9, 2017 --Elia Cabret -- Right Flank (Kilkis Seres' right, Mystras' left) -- Kilkis Seres-- The thought of battle had once excited her, though now in the thick of it she wasn't particularly keen on the ghastly sights of blood spraying and screams of fellow and villainous soldiers alike. Fear tore at her as her lip quivered, but she tried to be strong. This wasn't Elia's first battle, no, not by far. This was the first time that she was experiencing war, however, and it wasn't as innocent and cheerful as her mind had envisioned it to be from the stories. Elia wasn't one designed for up-close combat, so the very best she could do was hold her own in the back with the rest of the healers. She reached for her bow slung behind her back and notched an arrow, enchanting it with haste magic before allowing it to fly quickly into an enemy soldier. The arrow met its target dead on, causing the soldier to fly back by the sheer force of its speed. If she could remain this far behind, the battle would hopefully not be so bad. --Queen Shiva -- Center Flank: Kilkis Seres-- The queen wasn't shy; she stood firm in the front lines, in the center flank and leading her comrades into battle. She rose her silver longsword and emitted a battle cry, before charging in to the opposing army atop her unicorn. Her pale-blue braid whipped around her shoulder and flew behind her like a ribbon, as she raised and drew down her sword in a brutal and yet graceful manner. With a wave of her hand, two ice barriers appeared along both sides of her ride, protecting her from any side attacks that could've otherwise been fatal blows. I can do this, she thought to herself as she froze an enemy soldier in place with the hilt of her sword, before shattering him with its blade. So long as I do not have to face him, we can win. --Yev Malachite -- Left Flank: Kilkis Seres-- The blond shifted atop his white horse, royal-blue robes cascading along its side. It would potentially pose a danger later if entangled, though he wasn't yet ready to shed it until such a problem arose. He closed his eyes and placed two fingers along his rapier's blade, causing it to flash a vivid shade of violet before holding a strangely charged glow. Digging his heels into his horse, he moved forward into battle, though albeit not at such a fast pace as those in the front lines. Despite hanging in the rear, it wasn't long before he was greeted with enemy resistance. He parried a blast of lightning magic with his sword, the blade glowing brighter as it absorbed the magic. With a flick of his rapier, the blade released it, knocking the soldier from its ride in what Yev presumed to be death. He continued to ride onward, following a short and yet safe distance behind the lead of his flank. --Ren Mordecai -- Left flank (Mystras' left, Kilkis Seres' right): Mystras-- With every fallen enemy Ren was excited. He so badly wanted to turn into a dragon right then and there and provide Kilkis Seres with the thrashing that they deserved, but he tried to refrain. It was still too early in the game for him to exhaust himself. He eventually caught up with Raiden, slightly in awe of the damage that the Mystran leader had managed to pull off. "My goodness," he started, giving a quick glance around them at the decapitated soldier. "For a peaceful ruler, you certainly know how to fight." A soldier rounded on them, to which Ren responded to by withdrawing his wind edged blade. He rose it above his head, to which his own magic fueled the weapon and shot forth a strong gust of wind. The soldier stumbled back, falling off his horse and to the ground. No injury befell his foe, but he did scuttle away and decide not to pursue further. --Everyth Castanova and Curvis Sourati -- Right flank: Mystras-- Entrusting the girl with a wyvern wasn't the brightest of ideas, and yet she was entirely enthralled with flight. Everyth swooped in and around on her flying stead, silver longsword in hand, thrashing enemies brutally with both her weapon and her dark magic. Eventually she came in to greet the rest of her flank below, saving Curvis from getting severely burnt by an opposing fire mage and knocking him back. When the brunet glared up at her furiously she merely pouted. "What? I was saving your life." Curvis merely shook his head and rode his horse forward, muttering something along the lines of "Show off" as he went. He had always hated the witch, and wasn't particularly fond of being separated from those whom he did know. It was bad enough that he was fighting a war that he despised. As he rode the sound of weak moaning caught his attention. To his left was a young girl with aqua-blue hair, skin as pale as a ghost. A ghastly wound afflicted her side, her clothing soaked with blood. Something about the sight left him queasy, causing him to steer off-course and see to the woman. "It's all right," he soothed, moving toward her as she whimpered, pointing to him as her lips moved inaudibly. He reached over to study her wound and bit his lip by his findings: it was deep, and there was essentially no way that he could stop the blood. He tore his Mystran cape and held it to her side, his eyes imploring her to stay alive. "W--why . . . ?" she asked weakly, her gaze shifting from his armor to his face. She reached up toward his breastplate, and it was in that instant he realized why she was so hesitant. He was her enemy. "No one deserves to suffer," he told her. At this a tear ran down her cheek, her hand falling in its place. He quickly snatched it up, holding it firmly and yet tenderly. "I--I'm afraid," she whispered, lips dry with crusted blood. It took all of Curvis' willpower to remain calm, to sit and hold her gingerly as she passed, to none other than blades of his own. It wasn't fair, none of it, especially that such a young and tender-hearted woman would have to die. Sure, she signed up for this, but had she really? Curvis shook as he set her body down on the ground, muttering a silent prayer of peace to the fallen. He moved backward into a fellow Mystran soldier, who merely nodded and continued on his merry way. Fury bit into the brunet as he mounted his horse, riding to catch up with the others. --Alderon Niles -- Center Flank: Mystras-- The king rode his heavy-set war horse, Javelin, up to Mariel and Sifrei, pausing as he patted his ride's neck. Yes, the horse was truly his, brought from the world below for the fight above. While marvelous steads were proffered to the king, none would befit him as his very own that had been with him through thick and thin. The horse was built rather differently than those of the Overworld, but it didn't matter to him. "Very good, both of you," he commended, nodding toward the two angels. "Let today be one of proven unity between our races, despite our differences aeons ago. We need to build a strong defense and keep the queen's armies from infiltrating past our line. Let us allow the capture of Her Highness to the storm troopers and hold our position, shall we?" 1 Sigrun reacted to this
Vaude 536 Posted August 9, 2017 (edited) - Lord Raiden and Raleigh Marin, Left Flank, Mystras - Raiden stood upon a makeshift platform near the rear of the left flank, observing the war with a grim look on his pallid face. Death, that hateful consequence to so many actions, was undeserving of idealists and honorable soldiers, and while he witnessed much of it he loathed it. With a long sword gripped tightly in his hand, he stepped up to the plate and dropped from his perch, landing with poise. If there was any way to stop all of this senseless bloodshed soon, it was to enter the maelstrom of death himself. "Raleigh, is it?" he voiced, his colour returning as he turned to the human woman in paper armour and wielding a longbow. "It is," she responded, locking the bow beneath her arm as she looked at him attentively. "Use this platform while you can to take out the healers in the far back. I heard from our tactician Ren that you are skilled with that bow. Show how well you can use it." Raleigh smirked and answered "With pleasure" before scrambling to the top, nocking her first arrow and steadying her aim towards the rear. There was a great many individuals on the other side of the conflict, perhaps too much so, but she never backed down on bad stakes. Spying a flutter of robes in the distance with her bowsight, she adjusted her angle and fired in the direction of one of the healers in the matching flank that she was in (the left flank), the bow singing its resonant tune. The arrow was claimed by another soldier who unknowingly walked into the line of fire, crumpling into his allies from the force of the arrow. Raleigh clucked her tongue and readied another arrow. The next time she would not miss her target. Raiden, however, put some effort in arriving at the heart of the clash, slinking closer with head hung low and blade fully unsheathed. Once close enough, he surged forward in a burst of speed and with a following crackle of lightning. The first soldier he confronted did not even have the time to gasp before the thrust of his great blade reached his stomach. A second man-at-arms was nearby and was equally unlucky when Raiden freed his weapon, shifted to icepick grip, and swung it towards the second's neckline. The head and body toppled to the ground separately. If he had to play the monster to be a protector, Raiden concluded it had to be done, and it was too late for regrets. - Jari Coriander, Center Flank, Kilkes Seres - Jari shifted uncomfortably in his chainmail, the weight almost impossible for the young foxchild to think of as a second skin. Coupling that with the fact that it was too large for him, he found it difficult to even reach for the dagger at his hip. He freed just enough room in his half helmet to loose his ears and swallowed hard. The sights, the smells--they were too much sometimes, or perhaps all the time. Morana was already in action, preparing her trees to add a wall of wood in front of their fellow soldiers. He was gladdened of this. It shielded the center flank from the slings and arrows of, well, actual slings and arrows and the occasional firebolt, but how long would it last? Most likely not very long, but it was very good protection nonetheless. If only he could be that brave. He shifted again, feeling as if less eyes were on him, and waited for the signal to attack. - Rufus Contralto, Center Flank, Mystras - Above the battlements of the Mystran and human combined forces sat the djinni Rufus, humming his own little ditty in order to distract himself from the horrors below and the barrage of firebolts aimed in his direction by a trio of mages strangely annoyed by his presence. Perhaps it was because he was sitting high and nullifying their magic mid-cast and they caught on, or perhaps it was because he was floating outside of the ranks and seemed like an easy target, but it served Mystras well, he assumed. Any heat he received was heat relieved from Mystras, and that was a good thing, right? While this happened he concentrated on more dangerous magical individuals, cancelling their summoned spells and preventing a problem before it can ever be an issue. Endless Thundaga 533 Posted August 9, 2017 (edited) Jynn Venas and Dawson-Front Flank Jynn and Dawson took a few moments to observe the fight, with Dawson laying between Mel's ears with a spyglass to get a better view of activity beyond. Helios and Elia seemed to be holding up on their own quite well. Dawson lowered his spyglass and crawls back to Jynn's shoulder. "Alright pretty boy, we need to get to Raiden, his capture will most likely end this fight, and you will be seen as the hero, so, we need to go around Knucklehead's defenses. I'll hop off when we get closer, and draw attention away from you. You ride along the sides of the battlefield, take out his defenses and work your way to Raiden. Now, I must warn you that even though I'll assist you, not everyone will fall for my bait. But knowing you, I think you'll be just fine. Are you ready?" Jynn pauses and gives it some thought. But then he readies his game face. "I'm ready. Let's go." He then gives Mel a squeeze to push forward. He almost immediately goes into a full gallop. A few soldiers run up to the trio and attempt to attack. Jynn fires an electric projectile at two, and Dawson hurls a small bomb at the others. Endless Thundaga 533 Posted August 10, 2017 (edited) Jynn Venas and Dawson-Front Flank Jynn and Dawson ride by Helios, who is now a Manticore, with Jynn acknowledging the young fey's attempts. "Good work Helios! Keep it up!" As he gallops by, Mel knocks some of Helios's enemies out of the way, and leaves them to the boy. As the trio continue forwards, a random horse mounted soldier riding up to Jynn with the side of the animal facing the prince and Dawson, and the soldier's sword raised to strike. Jynn immediately unsheathes his sword and enters a bladelock with the soldier. Mel's size made it a rather awkward bladelock, with Jynn having to lean down to reach the soldier. The man begins to torment the noble. "Nice horse you got there! I'm sure Lord Raiden would love to own it!" Jynn rolls his eyes and retaliates. "Seems you have forgotten who's on a smaller horse." The enemy raises an eyebrow. "What the hell are you talking about?" Jynn then raises his boot out of his stirrup and kicks the soldier's face, causing the bladelock to end. He then commands Mel to knock the other horse down with a powerful swing with his neck, knocking the soldier out once he lands on the ground, with his armor saving him from the horse's weight. Jynn then gets Melstrome to continue on. Dawson then playfully calls out the soldier. "Haha! He got you GOOD!" Scrapmaster 1,731 Posted August 10, 2017 (edited) -Mystras side - - Henry - The Dreadnaught - Between the middle and right flanks - Henry was the second to charge in, like Rabyiu, who did not waste any time getting into conflict. He did not have time to watch her deal with the soldiers, he has his own problems to deal with now. Especially since it seemed some of Shiva's army had taken an interest in him. Thankfully, no magical artillery as of yet. But he was quickly surrounded by four soldiers. All who seemed to know him. "You know you're a 'kill on sight' order in Kilkis Seres do you not?" One of the soldiers explained, he had a sword and shield, another had twin swords, other a spear and one had a heavy battleaxe, regular infantry weapons. Though most common were spears of course. Henry simply stared back, his hood dancing in the wind. He slowly unsheathed his sword. 'I told myself I would kill only when necessary'. Henry thought. And Ariana was more than happy to giver her thoughts. 'this is as good a necessity as any...' She explained, Henry simply closed his eyes for a second. 'I know...' He opened his eyes, as they now emited a dim glow of energy as he entered his battle stance. "Surrender and we'l grant you a quick death...freak." THe spear guard proposed. Henry simply scoffed at the notion, with a grin starting to form on his face, "How about you firetruck off." Henry replied, angering the guard and his friends. Henry took a step forward, as he dashed towards the spear soldier, as the man reactively thrusted his spear forward in self defense, falling into Henry's ruse, his friends could do nothing as Henry deflected the spear with his sword, running along the blade, not very graceful, he didn't need to be. Henry held his blade, one hand on the handle, and one on the blade itself as he deflected the spear, quickly swinging it like a bat, with his hand on the blade, the hilt of the sword was sharp, and could pierce skin easily. And thats what he did, the sword's hilt lodged pierced the spearmen's throat as Henry pulled it out. "Thats called half-swording" Henry spoke, as he didn't take his eyes off the now dead spearmen, seeing the man die. As Henry turned to face his friends, with a small drop of blood on his face. The big man, the heavy axe guy, and the twin sword man charge at him afterwards, the shield knight following closely behind. Reacting to the attack, Henry charged earth and fire magic to his arm. Forming a magma gauntled on his left arm. This granted him increased strenght. Enough to knock back the axe to the side with a backhand, sendin the man recoiling backwards as the twin swordsmen attacked, only to have Henry sidestep the attack, kicking the man's feet, with his sword pointed right at the man's chest, the man could not stop himself from falling onto Henry's longsword. "Clumsy little guy.". Henry commented, with a sadistic smile to his face. "You Monster!" Screamed the shield knight as he too, now rushed Henry, the axe man had now regained his composure. The shield guy came with his shield raised, that was no trouble for Henry, magma gauntlet, as he punched the shield, the man recoiled backwards, the shield now bent from the sheer force as Henry instead of rushing him, rushed at the Axe man. The man swung his axe at Henry, to which Henry blocked and ended in a power struggle between them. "You don't know...who you are dealing with...do you?" Henry remarked as he easily overpowered the man, winning the struggle and throwing the man's guard off, taking the opportunity to slash at the man's leg. knocking him into a kneeling position, as he was quickly decapitated by Henry's longsword. The shield knight, scaref off his ass. Simply up and ran away. Henry did not chase, as the gauntled on his hand vanished. As he advanced, the healers needed to go, He, Rabyiu and Alastor Had to break the enemy defenses for his forces to push forward. 'You are enjoying this...' 'I know.' - Alastor - The Storm - Storm troop between Right and middle flank - Alastor analysed the battlefield, Kilkis Seres had good positioning, and defenses, he would need to work to get to the healers, this was good. He liked a challenge, unsheating his twin, storm blades he slowly advanced behing Rabiyu and Henry. Any soldier brave enough, or foolish enough to try and face him got slashed and disposed off as if they were nothing. Seeing Rabiyu's actions with the soldiers who attacked him pleased Alastor, she could defend herself, he knew Henry could handle himself for now. Quickly advancing between Henry and Rabiyu. Alastor dashed like lightning itself, impaling a soldier at the end with one blade, and dislodging the blade from the body with a kick. Sending the man's corpse flying at another soldier. Lightning crackling around his armor. "Lets clear a path." Alastor spoke. As he advanced, slashing at another soldier, the man's armor getting sliced through like a hot knife through butter. - Alex Mars - The Knight Prodigy - Left flank - Alex stood tall, sword and shield in hands as the enemy approached. He steeled himself for the battle, prepared, trained, and prayed for his and his allies's victory, their world depended on this war, after all. "Defend the healers at all costs. They go down, the entire flank goes down along with them." Alex ordered his fellow black knights to guard the healers as best they could. He himself was charged with the defense of the backline, while the others focused on pushing the enemy back. IT was a battle of attrition and the healers were top priority. - Draksis - The Black knight General - Right flank - Draksis was leading the main charge of the right flank, alongside his respected dark knights, holding his sword, and his general armor. He pushed forward, alongside his soldiers. He slashed down an opposing soldier, and throwing him aside to get out of the way as he led his men. "Lets do this my friends! THis is the war to end all wars! Our world's fate is depending on it!" Draksis spoke. His men were prepared and equiped, with magicaly enhanced armor. His objective was rather simple, focus on pushing the enemy back alongside his soldiers, and if pushed back, defend the support and push them back. "Form an unpenetrable wall, do not let any of them through!" Draksis ordered his soldiers. - Kilkis Seres side - - Maxis - THe Living armor - RIght (Or Left from Kilkis Seres's perspective) Flank - "Oi Maxis..." One of his clones spoke. "Yes me?" Maxis spoke, literaly to himself. "Why are we not in the same flank as Shiva?!" THe CLone asked, sounding seriously anxious. "Calm you ass, She ordered us...eerh. Me. To stay in this flank and push the enemy back" "...Gah." The Clone scoffed as it vanished. "Why am I talking to myself in a war?" Maxis asked himself, as he looked at something he held between his hands. "What do you think?" Maxis asked the soldier he was piercing his eyes with his metalic fingers. "AAAAAAAAAAHH" The Soldier screamed in pain...as expected. "EXACTLY!" Maxis spoke as he pulled his fingers out of the man's eyes doing the satisfying sound of a man having his eyeballs pulled out, leaving him on the ground to bleed out. Blood dripping from his fingers. "AAAh the scent of war, death, guts, blood, broken dreams and the sweet smell of blood." Maxis spoke. A clone formed from his very shadow after he said those words. "We need psychological help." The Clone spoke, with a tone as if it was disappointed. "I know right? Come on, lets kill some fools!" Maxis replied with a giddy tone. The Clone shrugged "Alright!" The Clone spoke, sounding surprisingly giddy at the thought. Edited August 11, 2017 by Scrapmaster
Nero Kunivas 3,046 Posted August 11, 2017 - Soren Monroe, Enforcer and Strategist of Mystras - Mystras Left Flank (Kilkis's Right) - The time has come and so had he. Soren Monroe stood alongside his Mystran Troops as they met the armies of Kilkis Seres halfway, with his eyes darting around them and the landscape, his rough plans were not entirely accurate, but in the places it counted, they were and that was enough for Soren. The battle commenced swiftly, with a few choice members of each side leading the first charges, blood was shed almost immediately as the yelling and screaming of warriors of all different calibers were being tested or slain. War had just become a reality to a great many people and now they had no choice but to face it. As he prepared his move, Soren observed Ren, swiftly and, dare he say, excitedly defeating several soldiers who were in his wake, paying a little mind to Lord Raiden's power as he did. His former prisoner had regained much of his old strength, his desire for vengeance clear as day...inside, Soren was thankful he would not be on the receiving end. He was also quite grateful that Ren wasn't faltering, though it may have been early in the battle, it would've been oh so easy to fail and be among the first to die. Especially, as he had just noticed, to a Manticore. This threat had to be dealt with quickly, so Soren took hold of his Claymore, the blade igniting with a burning hellfire and swung it to his side as he begun a hasty charge towards the mighty beast who was already attacking Mystran forces with its brute strength. Soren cut down two Kilkis Troops who attempted to stop him, but a third one, standing taller than those before, proved to be more difficult. A small clash ensued, wherein their blades ended up in a power struggle, their feet skidding across the ground attempting to gain some kind of strong footing against the other. "You turned traitor!?" The warrior called out in surprise, recognizing Soren. Undeterred, Soren pushed harder, the heat radiating from his flame-imbued blade was enough to make his opponent sweat. "I'm doing what's right for the worlds." The former Sentinel uttered in reply and with it, he thrust the Kilkis Warrior's blade and his arms away to their right and brought his Claymore back to his right in a slash, then swinging the blade leftwards across the Warrior's chest, wounding him badly. Soren did not relent as he then did an upward-right cut across the enemy's legs, forcing him to kneel. Bringing his blade to his side, he restarted his charge, but not before gripping the Kilkis Warrior by the neck and choke-slamming him to the ground, while at the same time detonating a fireball upon impact, breaking his neck and incinerating all flesh covering his head, leaving but a burnt, bare skull still burning. With him out of the way, Soren charged for the Manticore(Helios) and initiated an attack, attempting a downward right-slash, followed by him flipping the blade and performing a Hilt Stab in the gut in order to wind the creature. - Meksis, Armour of Light, The Chaperone - Kilkis Seres Right Flank - Atop his own steed, Meksis saw Lord Raiden's power firsthand, swiftly annihilating two Kilkis Troops in the blink of an eye, one gutted like a fish, the other relieved of his head. It was both magnificent and horrifying at the same time, such power used in but an instant, yet he couldn't help but feel it was but a mere taste of a Thunder God's power. Meksis could only hope Maxis would fare well in this battle, though he remembered that his friend, being a master of Illusion and Strength, had a taste for battle...and blood, the latter greatly and evermore so. Someone however caught his eye, what looked to be Isopolis's former prisoner: Ren Mordecai, though Meksis was not ready to jump to any conclusions. Regardless, the man seemed excited as he plowed through several of his enemies, not with a psychotic glee like Maxis, but enough to suggest a mental disturbance or a simple love for battle. Kicking his horse into motion, Meksis had chosen his first opponent (Ren) and galloped straight toward him. When he deemed himself close enough to the Wind Drake, Meksis conjured up a Scimitar and leaped from his horse, beginning with a downward strike towards Ren and would follow up with a quick combo of slashes alternating in a few semi-circular directions, befitting of his blade. - Nergal, Remnant of Meksis, The Dormant and Hollow Wind - Kilkis Seres Left Flank - Blood was spilled and his chance was to be seized, Nergal had followed the entire regiment of Kilkis Seres forces to their battlefield of choice and prepared to strike. Despite his own plans and after much internal deliberation, Nergal had decided to side with the Queen's Army for the time being, only as a way of getting closer to Yevgeni Malachite, deeming him most interesting and potentially essential. He chose his time, emerging from his more discreet position into the fray, beginning by leaping onto the back of Yevgeni's steed and shushing him as quickly as he arrived. "Shhh! Relax, I am not your enemy, Elf. I'm on your side. You and I must speak, but after this conflict, or whenever we find time...but it has to be. If you'll excuse me, this, is my stop..." Leaving with nary a sound off of the saddle, Nergal pounced upon a Mystran Troop with his "Holy" Glaive in hand, impaling the man quickly, lifting his wounded body up before hurling it into a few more troops, landing square in a woman's face and knocking the rest down. The masked fighter then rushed forth, the quick, soft pattering of his feet could barely be heard over the sounds of war as he approached someone who appeared to be the Mystran Juggernaut(Henry) and allowed himself a light scoff beneath his golden mask. In reality, unbeknownst to Nergal, Henry was The Dreadnought, but it wouldn't matter to him and despite seeing him easily fend off a great many Kilkis Troops, he needed to test his mettle, approaching Henry with his Glaive ready and called out. "You must be Raiden's little Juggernaut? And his...friends of an equal stature?" Nergal spoke loudly, despite being rather close to Henry and his other friends: Rabyiu and Alastor, the latter seeming very powerful indeed, but Henry was who he had in mind. "Combat me! Do so honourably, without your friends!" With as much emotion as he could muster, he challenged Henry Hansees, raising his Glaive towards him, pointing one of the bladed ends at his chosen enemy. Now he would see if this Juggernaut was truly as powerful as he seemed...if so, he could prove useful. (Side Note, I know Meksis doesn't know that Raiden is actually Odin. I just said Thunder God for effect. ) 1 Mystics Apprentice reacted to this
Mystics Apprentice 2,397 Posted August 11, 2017 --Ren Mordecai -- Left Flank: Mystras--The redhead barely noticed Soren as he whizzed past him, charging toward a cluster of royal knights, his claymore raised high. A soft smile played on his lips as he watched his friend roam past, grateful to the divine that Soren chose to ally him rather than his foe.His attention was diverted quickly, however, when a royal soldier heavily clad in armor approached him, full speed upon his mount. Ren raised his wind edge defensively, though was taken aback by what happened next: the man leapt off his horse, coming down at him with a ferocious slash. Ren had to think fast; his blade couldn't defend against such brute force, especially from a scimitar. He kicked his horse into motion, attempting to avoid the blow, though barely failed. The blade struck his horse's hindquarters, causing blood to pour from his horse's open wound. It whinnied loudly, bucking Ren clear off him. At first he went flying headfirst, though used his wind magic to soften his landing.Ren wasted no time in getting to his feet, snatching up his wind edge that had fallen inches from his body. This suit of armor was highly skilled with his sword, that much he could discern. He ran up to Meksis, parrying his attacks with his blade, though the best he could do was defend himself as opposed to landing a hit himself. Sweat gleamed against his forehead. It was too soon to transform--Soren and Raiden had cautioned him against doing such so early on. He needed to hold out, though Meksis was powerful and fast. When his opening arose, Ren backflipped, though instead of landing on his feet he rose higher into the air, hovering about four feet off the ground. He summoned a strong gust of wind with a wave of his hand, trying to draw the scimitar from Meksis' hand.--Queen Shiva -- Center flank: Kilkis Seres-- A group of pegasus knights flew overhead and swooped in on Mystran soldiers, spears in hand as they thrust them into their enemy. Shiva rode on, taking down clusters of enemy troops along her path. Such screams pierced the air, along with the clash of weapons and magic. Perhaps time had dulled her memory, but this war felt much more intense than her previous encounter with the battlefield. The ice queen rode forth, silver blade one hand, the reins of her unicorn in the other. She slowed to a halt as she reached a familiar woman: pale hair, vivid eyes, long pointed ears. Yes, this was the elf from the north. Her eyes narrowed."I know you from somewhere," she said, voice low, blocking Rabiyu's path from moving forward. "You're Eliltari, aren't you? The elf from the north that I had sent to observe Lord Raiden. I see that I have been played."She extended her sword from her body, looking as though she prepared to charge. "It is a shame that you have chosen this path, for I have no mercy for those who double-cross me."At this Shiva rode straight at Rabiyu full-force, sword extended outward, a stream of ice falling in the blade's wake.--Yevgeni Malachite -- Left Flank: Kilkis Seres--Yev sheathed his sword as a Mystran soldier fell at his horse's feet, summoning a ball of light. As he prepared to throw it in the direction of a reptilian knight and her comrade, he felt movement of a body behind him. Every muscle in his body tensed, and it took every ounce of his willpower not to disobey the voice and throw this energy of light right at him instead. His eyes were wide as he continued riding as casually as before, as though some stranger leaping out of the woodwork onto his horse was an everyday occurrence. Just as quickly as he'd arrived, the mysterious man left, charging off to fight, yes, Mystras. For a moment Yev remained rooted to the spot, dumbfounded. What had just happened, exactly? Who was this man? And how did he know Yev? It sounded important, and oddly promising. Was he merely interested in Yevgeni for his newfound role as ambassador, his old one as Alexander's retainer, or perhaps . . . his mission? No, there was no way that he could possibly know about any of that, Yev told himself as he tilted his head, shifting back toward the army that awaited him. And yet . . . what if he did? Despite desiring to clear his head of the encounter, he made a mental promise that he would indeed seek him out at a later time.He flew a ball of light energy into a tree near several Mystran knights, which exploded upon impact. The shattered tree rained down on them, and, during their confusion, he charged, rapier glowing as it came down upon them.--Everyth Castanova -- Right Flank: Mystras--The sorceress laughed mercilessly as she taunted a pegasus knight into taking the sky, chasing after her and crashing into a tree."Well, well, that was rather sad," she said sardonically. "For someone who's started flying today, I really put your lifetime of training to shame, haven't I?"It felt, to Everyth, that everything in her life had been culminating for this very moment. This was where she was meant to be, and this was what she was meant to do. She had always searched for life's great meaning, and here--in the Overworld atop the most magnificent wyvern ever--she had found it.She soared down to the ground to observe the battlefield, to pick out an enemy which she deemed to be worth her entertainment. That was when she noticed a suit of armor seemingly speaking to other suits of armor just like it, seeming all too happy with his killing spree and blood spray. A twisted smile appeared on her lips.Everyth dove in, sword in hand, eyes ablaze as she met the gaze of Maxis."Looks like you're having fun," she commented mildly, still smiling. "Mind if I play?" Stardustblade358 806 Posted August 12, 2017 (edited) - Helios - Front Flank - Side: Kilkis Seres - VS Soren - A swing of Helios' tail brought soldiers off their feet. If he could disable them from fighting any longer, he would be doing as much damage as it would be killing them. He roared again, clawing at the soldiers that approached. They all were wary of his movements, and Helios of theirs. Helios charged forward again, aiming at everywhere below the waists. Specifically the legs. He ran across a group charging at him, using his swings to swat weapons away before clawing at their legs. With one large swing of his claws, he clawed at a couple of soldiers, gashing at their legs. Soldiers screamed in pain, falling down as blood followed them, pooling on the floor beneath. He used his tail to wrap one of the soldiers and throw him across, sending him right into a group, sending them all falling back. Sadly, not everyone had the same ideals of keeping a body count low. A warrior(Soren) came straight at him, ruthlessly dealing with multiple Kilkis Seres soldiers that got in his way. "(Not good.)" Helios thought, roaring at Soren as he came straight at him. Helios raised his paws into the air, clawing at the downward slash, pushing it away, but was quickly slammed with a hilt stab right in the gut. The pain sent waves through Helios' body, causing him to roar in pain. Helios clawed at Soren's legs, suddenly wrapping his tail around Soren's ankles and pulling, knocking him off his feet. "(I have to disable him.)" Helios thought, quickly jumping on him, clawing against his armor where he proceeded to attempt to take a large bite out of his shoulder. - Arthur - Front Flank - Side: Rebellion of Mystras - Arthur's body moved driven by instinct. Like clockwork, finally doing what he had been trained to do for so many years, leading up to a moment just like this. He blocked another upcoming attack, waiting for the last second to slam his shield against the upcoming sword, sending the soldier's arm and sword back. With an opening Arthur drove his sword forward, aiming for the single open space of the armor around the neck. He stabbed the soldier right across the windpipe, silencing his scream, before sending a jolt of electricity to kill him quickly. Electricity traveled across the soldier's body, burning it inside out as it convulsed before collapsing. Arthur pulled his sword, the body still attached, and swung it to an upcoming soldier, the body being thrown off the sword and landing right on the enemy, knocking them down. Arthur quickly jumped to the side, barely dodging an upcoming swing from an enemy. It barely scratched the surface of his armor. Arthur regained his balance, pushing against the floor beneath to dash right at the soldier. The soldier got ready, rising their shield to block the attack. At the last moment, Arthur suddenly slid against the ground beneath, sliding past the soldier. As he did, he swung his sword on the soldier's legs, slamming them right into the bone. The soldier screamed in agony, falling onto his fees as his legs gave into the pain. Arthur drew back his sword, blood coming along with it. He saw sir Soren fighting against...what the actually f*ck was that thing?! Regardless, he would stay out of its way, instead focusing on the rest of the foot soldiers. Nothing would get past him unhurt. - Morana - Center Flank - Side: Kilkis Seres - Morana continued her makeshift shields of trees, providing protection to her side of the field. However a few warriors among the field caught her eye. They were...different. Not in appearance. Well, yes, but more than that. Their smell. Their sense. Their aura. "Human." Morana hummed, looking up at them. They stuck relatively close to each other, even when fighting against others, they remained close. These were the humans that were causing this war, weren't they? "(How bold of them.)" Morana thought. She knelt down on the ground, feeling the grass beneath her. All connected as one. She wasn't strong enough to possibly fight and win against so many, but she would give her side the best support she could give them. She focused her magic, expanding it into the ground beneath as the grass began to to respond. On the ground, beneath the enemy, grass began to rise and twist themselves around the enemies' feet. Some were caught off guard, tripping and falling over, while others were merely annoyed by the fact. An inconvenience. But was just as good as any other strategy. Elrandir 783 Posted August 12, 2017 (edited) - Rabiyu - Rebellion of Mystras - between center and right flank - Rabiyu was fighting against another group of three feys, two males and a female, a werewolf who was currently on his knees, a naga who was trying to free himself from the vines that were holding him, and the Harpy who currently had a dagger stuck on her chest. "Doesn't feel good, right?" Rabiyu asked the fey, "Just imagine if it was me in your place." The harpy had tears falling down her cheeks, she looked scared of the elf in front of her, and her friends couldn't do anything to help her. "I...sorry..." she said faintly while glancing at her friends, "...so...sorry..." The High Elf looked at the werewolf and the naga, the look of desperation they had made her feel...nothing, surprisingly, they were just there, watching as their friend slowly stopped moving. The werewolf was growling at Rabiyu while the naga kept trying to free himself. "Loxy! hang on! "the naga said, "You will pay for this you murderer!" Murderer? That was a new one, this was war and everyone here was a murderer. "Do not be hypocritical. You, and everyone here, is a murderer. You came to the battlefield knowing that many would be dying," Rabiyu said as she summoned her bow and pointed an arrow towards the naga, "You will be just another one in the pile of corpses, just like your friend here." Rabiyu didn't waited for a retort from the naga, she shot her arrow straight into the fey's head. The werewolf howled in sorrow as he watched two of his closest friends had their lives taken by the elf in front of him, that was until he was suddenly lifted into the air and quickly moved behind the elf, were he was struck by multiple arrows that were meant for her. Rabiyu noticed that Alastor went ahead, and that one of the enemy's units was asking Henry for a fight, and she was going to help him, but apparently someone else was against the idea, a familiar voice, that of the Queen. "My apologies, Queen Shiva, but I think you misunderstood my intentions. I offered to help investigate Lord Raiden and I succeeded, I suppose the Prince is proof enough, he returned to you with information about Lord Raiden, did he not?" Rabiyu's tone was not hostile, just flat and emotionless, "I have a new objective now, to help Lord Raiden fulfill his purpose, the unification of both worlds. The curse that King Alexander created by summoning the wall between both worlds will be destroyed, the ignorance that both feys and humans suffered for two thousand years will end, with or without your help. I have no need for your mercy, for you are no queen of mine. I work for the good of everyone, feys and humans alike, while you try to keep the veil of ignorance over your subjects' eyes." Rabiyu locked eyes with the Queen for a moment, if the Queen had doubts about the whole situation it was something Rabiyu couldn't see. Shiva was coming at her, she was ready to put her own life on the line, and Rabiyu respected that, but she was going to do everything in her power to succeed on her own mission. The Elf ran towards Shiva's steed, and just before the Queen could do anything, she jumped and slid under the unicorn, standing up and quickly aiming at the steed rather than the queen. "Zu'u faan faal, kruziik zii do yol," Rabiyu said in ancient draconic, it was time to use more powerful attacks now that the Queen was there,"bo amativ ahrk zin thy sos kiid do wuth, Hellion! A glowing red orb with glyphs appeared on the tip of Rabiyu's arrow, she had to distract the Queen in order to keep moving towards the healers on the back. The arrow was shot not to the Queen, but instead under the unicorn, the arrow was going to explode once it made contact with the ground, if the queen or the unicorn were still standing on that spot then, well, they wouldn't come out unscathed. Rabiyu had to take advantage of the moment, this was not the time to engage with such an opponent, she quickly ran towards Alastor. "Master Alastor! The Queen is here, we need to continue with our plan to take out Kilkis Seres' healers. " she said as she shot another arrow to a flying fey who instantly fell to the ground, "The more we stay here the longer this fight will get. We must keep pushing forward." The northern elf kept moving towards her designated target, but she could see in the distance that trees were suddenly popping out of the ground, obviously by means of magic, she scanned the battlefield for a moment until she saw a particular girl kneeling on the ground before the trees appeared, she also noticed that when the girl touched the ground a group of humans began to act differently. "That group needs help," she thought, "Target as been confirmed. A distraction would be useful, perhaps?" Rabiyu once again casted the same spell she used for Shiva and shot the arrow towards the girl (Morana) touching the ground, her intent was not to kill the girl, only to distract her with the explosion that would happen near her. - Sifrei Mond and Aeternum Siblings - Rebellion of Mystras - Center Flank - "Agreed, King Alderon," Sifrei answered, "Let us hold our enemies at bay while the troopers handle the healers." The Archangel raised from the ground and flew towards a group of feys, the Siblings on the other hand looked at Alderon for a few seconds before following Sifrei. Said fey was already locked in combat with two other feys, a fairy and a fox, he stopped the fox's sword above his head with the spear, but the fairy was going to hit him with her rapier, that was until both siblings arrived and one of them blocked the attack, which made the fairy fall to the ground. "Not a good choice," Aurion said, "but I suppose anything is permitted." Aura kept looking at the fairy that now was standing on her feet. "Imprudent humans! You will die here with all of those cursed Myst-agh!" The younger siblings didn't had the patience to listen to the fairy, she siezed the opportunity to attack while she was talking. "Spare us your talk!" Aura said, "This is war!" The Fairy was going to stab Aura, but before she could land the attack she was blocked by Aurion, Aura once again attacked the fairy with her sword, leaving a gash on her arm. The next time the fairy attacked, Aura blocked the attack and Aurion delivered the killing blow into the fairy's chest. "Lorelei!" The Fox yelled as he looked at Sifrei, "You and your humans will pay for this!" The Fox kicked Sifrei on his stomach and pushed him backwards while turning around and running towards the Siblings. He was almost within range of the Siblings, but he soon felt a lot of pain coming from his chest, when he looked down he saw the tip of Sifrei's spear coming out of his chest. "You will not hurt them," Sifrei said flatly, "Not while I'm here." The Archangel pushed the spear out of the Fox's chest with his boot, while the Siblings nodded at each other then at Sifrei. They had to hold their position, that's all that mattered for now. Edited August 12, 2017 by Elrandir
Scrapmaster 1,731 Posted August 13, 2017 (Mystras) - Henry - The Crimson Butcher - Breaking the enemy lines between Kilkis Seres's left middle and left flank - Henry had time to just take a few steps foward, before he was quickly approached by another enemy...or rather...he didn't exactly know what this man who challenged him was, his aura felt...off. Either way, the man pointed a glaive at him and proposed an honorable duel. Henry turned to the new challenger who approached him (Nergal) with a casual look on his face. Who was this guy? He never heard of him before, nor seen him. He had to be extra careful now. Henry glanced at Rabyiu and Alastor, the latter of which was advancing through enemy lines like the one man army he was, and Rabiyu was now preocupied. "Doesn't look like they'l get in the way." Henry spoke, bringing his sword in front of him, now pointing at Nergal just like the man pointed his glaive at him. Taking a closer look at the man, not much armor...at least it looked like robes more than anything, that Glaive, however. "Its Dreadnought. And who might you be? You don't look like you're Kilkis Seres yourself." Henry asked Meksis, not moving from his position or stance, but not letting his guard down. Before Nergal could answer however. He would probably be able to notice some magic being diverted to Henry's legs...and then the ground. As the ground below Nergal's feet quickly erupted in a fiery explosion. This was more to see what Nergal would do, considering the man probably saw it coming. A forced reaction one could say. - Alastor - The Storm - Between Mystrias Middle and right flank - Alastor was clearing a path for him and his soldiers, whom he ordered to follow behind him and provide support as needed, he charged right alongside them, not letting them take the blow for him. He figured the more soldiers he could keep alive while breaking the enemy's line of defense, the easier it would be to take out the healers in their backline. Rabiyu was now preocupied with the Queen, whom Alastor could see from a good distance away, she had her ways of getting attention, and now she was fighting the Elf. And the Dreadnought was nowhere to be found...probably busy fighting something, as long as he acted as a good distraction it would be good...at least. With his allies distracting the enemy, it was time for Alastor to pierce through the enemy. And just like that, Alastor's magical energy spiked, with the very air around him crackling with electriciy. Alastor himself was glowing with pure magic. As a show of his aura, and that of the enemies around him. And just like that Alastor picked up the pace, slashing one soldier at a time with his swords, while the elite soldiers followed him close behind, taking out any enemy that ALastor did not destroy beforehand. One could very easily find Alastor...just look at a literal thunderstom. (Kilkis Seres) - Maxis - The Living Armor - Having the time of his life in Kilkis's left flank - Maxis had his back turned to Everyth as the woman approached him and kindly asked if she could join in the fun. Maxis's head turned to face Everyth, as his body turned with it. Who...was this woman? He did not recognize this woman, nor did he really care. The Original Maxis stood quiet, with his arms crossed, trying to look cool. But his clones weren't gonna have any of it. One of them materialized right beside him, his body forming from pure darkness...or Illusion...no one but Maxis knew the answer. "Whats with this sassy, lost lady?" The Maxis clone asked out loud. As The Original shrugged. "I dunno" Maxis sighed. "Sure, feel free to join in. I'l try to make things entertaining for you." Maxis spoke threateningly. Him and his clone right beside him, who was also trying to look cool too. "Yo...how's the eye?" Maxis asked the soldier whom he had ripped out the eyes off before, with the corpse literally thrown behind him. "Yeah...I guessed as much..." Maxis commented. rikunobodyxiii 700 Posted August 13, 2017 (edited) {Mariel: Rebellion of Mystras: Center Flank} Mariel had wanted to ask Sifrei about his companions, but King Alderon's attention kept her from it, saluting to him like the normal soldier she was suppose to be. As others charged in, Mariel did what Agatha Brightwater would do and raised her bow to proved range support. She could use her true form for a surprise attack later. At least, that was the plan. The sounds of battle rang in her ears, her enhanced hearing making out individual shouts, metal clashes, and last breathes. This was what she was born for. A calling she had suppressed for too long. Dropping her bow, Mariel began walking out of the lines and towards the melee. She ripped her quiver off her side and tossed it away. She was done pretending. She drew her swords, Heaven's Flame and Bright Guard. As she brought her arms back to her sides, the blades losing their glamor, becoming the shining full swords they truly were. Taking a deep breath, Mariel let out a war cry filled with all the rage she had been carrying inside since the loss of the 7th Legion. She began to run, light enveloping her and growing larger. Out of the light, two white wings extend and beat the air. The light disappeared as Mariel in her true, Guardian Angel launched herself into the air. She swooped up before coming crashing down on a trio of elves from Kilkis Seres, impaling one with one of her swords. Moving fast to take advantage of surprise, Mariel half turned and screamed a cone of sonic energy at one of her remaining combatants, causing internal damage and sending him flying. Using her free blade, she parried the final elf's blade as she kicked off her first kill from Heaven's Flame. "You had a chance for peace." Mariel growled, her glowing eyes piercing the final elf. "But destruction was chosen instead." Using both blades. She attacked again. Edited August 13, 2017 by rikunobodyxiii
Vaude 536 Posted August 13, 2017 (edited) - Lord Raiden, Mystras, Left Flank - The fight proved more serious than the smattering of combat Raiden displayed once people were more alerted to his presence, a more sizable number of foes raising their weaponry in vengeance for their fallen comrades. Raiden raised his weapon to face level with one hand, the thing seemingly lighter than it looked, and it was quite true. Enchanted with a mixture of lightning and lightening magics, the great sword had improved cutting power as well as easier management of weight distribution, though it came at a price. For all of its strength, it did not have much mass, making weapon locks and powerful assaults against shielded foes a little more difficult. Even still, there were other tricks up his sleeve. When one of the soldiers nearby, a proud and strong-armed minotaur, came close with a massive hammer and performed a leg sweep, Raiden leapt in the air and came down with a vicious chop with both hands. The bestial creature fell with a great thud, but two others, a gargoyle and a wood elf, approached from the fallen soldier's rear and retaliated with spear and rapier. Raiden parried one and dodged the other in one fluid movement, dropping to the ground on one knee and somersaulting forward toward the elf. Reacting poorly to the odd movements of Raiden, the elf attempted to attack rather than move away and keep his distance. Raiden slashed at him in a quick crescent arc and he fell screaming, the wound to his lower torso not pretty in the slightest. The gargoyle studied the ruler of Mystras with a stony gaze, an analytical mind behind a rocky face as he brought his slim spear close and ready. His batlike wings tufted out, prepared for flight, and Raiden knew that purely physical combat would be tricky with this one. So, he had to use magic. Search magic. With a hand gesture, a sensory bubble expanded from Raiden and covered a radius of ten meters around him, more than adequately protecting him from other nearby close-range fighters should they try to engage him in combat, and even more so for the gargoyle in front of him. Had the bubble been any larger, the battle around him would have been more distracting than necessary, and he would not be able to see the gargoyle understand the situation and perform a testing slash with the spear's head, hands close together as if the gargoyle brandished a sword. Raiden shunted this with a one-handed deflection and stepped closer. The gargoyle stepped backward and prepared a new similar attack, which was repelled again. Three more times this happened, stronger and stronger, until the stony creature attempted a powerful thrust with all of his weight thrown into the assault. However, the ground was not in his favour, being slightly uphill, and the creature took a misstep. Raiden seized the moment to dodge, twirl three quarters of a revolution, and bring his sword down onto the gargoyle's neck. Raiden puffed a breath of both relief and sorrow at the creature's death, looking down at the gargoyle piteously. How many years had it been alive, and how many years would it have been alive had this war not started? It showed signs of great intelligence, of experience, and it had been cut down just because it met a more powerful opponent. Was this what was going to happen to him eventually? Will he meet his match one day? Yes, one day, but not this day, he concluded. Today his ideals made him invincible, and today he will be victorious. The fight will continue on until he was the winner, and nothing less than that would occur. With such a mentality, he pressed onward with his troops, trying his best to shatter morale and undermine the enemy's position. - Raleigh Marin, Mystras, Left Flank - Raleigh took her time in unleashing her next shot, keeping tabs with the healer that she fired at beforehand from afar. The bowsight was not entirely reliable to gauge distance, and she had to squint through either eye, but it was worth the effort of keeping her drawing arm tense with a nocked arrow. With the bowstring's release, the air reverberated with a single resonant note, and the arrow sailed through the air, aimed directly toward the healer as he, or she, moved along from place to place providing services for the wounded. The arrow struck truer than ever and brought the healer down fast and hard, the force behind the shot astounding. However, this was just the easier part, and who knew if the healer would survive such a heavy hit or not. In a land of magic, Raleigh did not know how easy or how difficult it would be to kill one with healing skills, but she hoped it would take him or her down. Moreover, the enemy would be even more protective of their rear flank from now on, and firing at the second and third healer would prove tough. She had to lie low for a little while and aim instead for the enemies closest to her. [1 Kilkes Seres healer wounded] - Jari Coriander, Kilkes Seres, Center Flank - The foxchild licked his lips as he observed the insanity happening on the battlefield. Mystras seemed to be pressing the attack on multiple fronts, as did Kilkes Seres, to a smaller but still potent degree. However, one thing caught his eye the most, and that was a man clad in armour, irradiating a threatening amount of electricity and what appeared to be . . . storm clouds? Perhaps the image was his eyes playing tricks on him, but every hair on his body stood on end from tail to head. The electricity was real, but what unnerved him--no, terrified him--the most was that this man seemed very familiar. He jogged his memory as he stood locked in place until he came up with a dreadful answer, one that wizened his pupils in fear and made him ashamedly wet himself. That man was Alastor, the man that stepped inside the Flowering Hyssop, let him live, and threatened to kill him if he ever saw him again. And now, he was here, on this battlefield, reigning supreme as the greatest terror a foxchild could ever know. Heart surging up his throat, Jari toppled backward, kicked his feet back and forth in an effort to run the other direction, and managed to flee after seconds which seemed like hours. A scream pitched forth from his young throat as he ran deeper into the flank, shielding himself with a great number of soldiers that looked upon him with scorn and disapproval. How could he argue with them? He was a coward, the biggest coward there ever was, he thought to himself. He was terrified, and for good reason. He was a foxchild. He was not meant to be on the battlefield, among all these meatheads and deadly individuals, especially that living nightmare Alastor. After a little while, however, he felt himself stop. "Courage, Jari, courage!" he whimpered to himself, slapping his cheek with a hand too shaky to deliver any amount of force. "You need to do something brave in your life. Do it now or live in regret!" The self-assurance did not help, his tail shrinking between his legs and his ears slumping further down. He looked backwards and saw the same event, a terrifying man walking toward his side of the battlefield with electricity coming off of him. Something had to be done, but it was not his fight . . . right? Edited August 13, 2017 by Vaude
Stardustblade358 806 Posted August 14, 2017 - Morana - Center Flank - Side: Kilkis Seres - VS Rabiyu - Morana's eyes widened as the flaming arrow came right by her territory. She had no time. The arrow landed a few feet aay from her, but the explosion alone was earth shattering. It resounded across the area, the sound wave of it knocking people off their feet. Morana was thrown a feet back, rolling on the ground as she struggled to regain her composure. She glared up at the culprit, quickly scrambling to her feet. Darn it, she wasn't good at frontal confrontation. She was better off as a support. She didn't hesitate, however, reaching into her satchel as she pulled a seed out. She focused her magic on it, making the plant grow. It grew into a long vine, spinning it in her hands, much like a whip. At the end of it, thorns grew, long and sharp. "I guess it can't be avoided." Morana hummed, charging straight at Rabiyu across the field. She began to whip the vine towards her, the thorn filled end sure to cause injury to any exposed skin. As she kept Rabiyu with the whip, she attempted to get closer. If she could get a single hand on her, and hang on, she could claw at her.
Elrandir 783 Posted August 14, 2017 (edited) - Rabiyu - Rebellion of Mystras - between center and right flank - Rabiyu was distracted for a few seconds, she was watching the battlefield along with keeping tabs on Alastor, Henry and all their unit, there was also the Queen. "Good, keep pushing forwards and this will end soon," she tought to herself, "It seems that, at the time, Mystras soldiers are capable of holding ground." The Elf could see the healers in the distance, a precise shot would be needed, something she was good at, to take some down. She had an arrow and was ready to cast another spell when she felt something behind her, the same girl from before was charging straight at her. "Please, do not do anything reckless, I do not want to have to end your life," Rabiyu said to Morana as she dodged her whip, "There is enough death all around us already." It looked that the girl had no intention to stop, if her attacks were any indication. The situation was slightly annoying, she had the agility to dodge the attacks, but a couple of them did manage to reach her arms and legs a couple of times. The girl was sloppy, probably not used to close combat, but that was something Rabiyu didn't felt the need to waste time upon. The Elf was slowly being pushed back, her bow was now resting on her back while she was blocking the whip/vine with her daggers. "I did warned you." Rabiyu said as she took another dagger from one of her boots with her psychokinesis, making it float in front of her. "Zii do faal Su, Zu'u beseech faal, bo amativ ahrk zin thy sos kiid do wuth!" Another spell was used, Rabiyu has to thank whatever god or goddess for the vast, and strange, amount of arcane energy she possessed. The dagger began to spin by itself, a wind current appearing at the blade of the dagger, anything it touched would be cut in half in a split second. "Like I said," Rabiyu looked eyes with Morana, "Step aside if you do not want to lose your life." And without another word Rabiyu threw the dagger towards Morana, if she dodged the attack then the Kilkis Seres soldiers behind her would be killed in a moment, either way was good for the Elf. Nero Kunivas 3,046 Posted August 14, 2017 - Soren Monroe, Enforcer and Strategist of Mystras - Front Flank, V.S Manticore!Helios - His attack against the Manticore was met with a bestial fury, his slash was knocked away, but his hilt strike had connected. It did not help however, for Soren's enemy was not winded or deterred. Instead, things took a turn for the worst as it wrapped its scorpions tail around Soren's legs and swept them out from under him, causing him to fall on his back, dropping his Claymore. He had to act now, for the monster had already clawed his shoulder armour away and looked as if it was about to eat him alive. Soren barely stopped the Manticore's lunging head with all of his strength, its heated breath could be felt so close to his face and shoulder. Desperation was setting in fast, but then he had an idea: He adjusted one of his hands over the Manticore's open mouth and from the palm of said hand erupted a torrent of Hellfire, with the aim to project this flamethrowing torrent into the beast's open gullet to burn it from the inside out. - Meksis, Armour of Light, The Chaperone - Kilkis Seres Right/Mystras Left Flank, V.S Ren Mordecai - Meksis had disabled Ren's horse with his initial strike, though his rush of slashes was met by Ren getting back on his feet and counter-rushing, parrying every blow he had to give. The Chaperone was already planning his next move, but something threw him off: Ren backflipping away...but not landing, instead utilizing his power over the Wind to hover in front of and above Meksis and attempting to disarm him with a strong gust of wind. He knew his own powers, so Meksis allowed this disarming to take place, then he just folded his arms and stared. "So, you are Ren Mordecai after all." The wind powers had all but confirmed the Wind Drakes identity to him, relieving his initial uncertainty. "So that means your Warden's a traitor too? You and he will both be shown no mercy nor quarter for your crimes..." Meksis then raised his right hand and activated his Aura of the Chaperone, activating his Light Powers. "...I give you my solemn vow." One could almost hear his figurative gritted teeth of anger as he followed up his promise to Ren and by extension Soren, with a further raised hand, calling down a large beam of Light from the sky to strike him down from his high ground. - Nergal, Remnant of Meksis, The Dormant and Hollow Wind - Kilkis Seres Left/Middle, V.S Henry Hansees - Nergal felt a faint smirk across his masked face, one Henry could not see, as he assured the remnant that his friends would not be interfering. It had no sentiment nor feel to it, but it happened nonetheless. Henry clarified his being "The Dreadnought" rather than a Juggernaut and seemed to accept his challenge while also proposing a question as to his own identity. Nergal was about to humour him, but he saw energy channeling down the Dreadnoughts legs through to the ground beneath Nergal's feet, causing it to fiercely glow. Anticipating what would happen, probably because Henry allowed him to, utilizing his enhanced movement Nergal hovered slightly above the ground and rapidly dashed across the ground away from the fiery explosion that ensued. This would give away his more agile self to Henry, but if anything, it would help him evaluate the Dreadnought further. Nergal then floated forward as he spoke. "Dreadnought, Juggernaut...a distinction without a difference. My, name is Nergal. Now, show me more than a highly telegraphed eruption, if you please." Giving little time to react after finishing, Nergal rapidly dashed towards Henry, Glaive-first. He would appear to be going for a full-on impalement, but this was a feint, for Nergal would then de-summon his Glaive and frontflip over Henry and rain down several laser-like projectiles upon him, both were to see if he had any defensive measures.
