Hey there everyone, how's it going!?  So then, we're all very hyped for Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, and the game can't come soon enough!  I need to have it already!!! X_X

 

And well, aside from that, we also know that we'll get more Kingdom Hearts III announcements!  ANNOUNCEMENTS!!!  So then, with that being said, I want to speculate on what I think we'll see this December.

 

Now, based on what we saw when the trailer ended, at the end, it said, "Upcoming announcements this Winter!" implying that they'll announce more than just one thing!  With that being said, here's what I think we'll be shown! (I'll classify my speculation on most likely, likely, and not likely!)

 

• [*]A new Kingdom Hearts III gameplay trailer showcasing gameplay in San Fransokyo! (Most Likely.): Well, I think this is kind of self explanatory!  We've seen footage of the Kingdom Of Corona, the Mysterious Tower, Twilight Town and Mount Olympus, so I think that this time around, we should get a sneak peek of Sora and friends duking it out against the Heartless in San Fransokyo, alongside Hiro, Baymax and his team!  I think it'd be awesome, and it could show us the improvements Square have done to the game since we last saw gameplay, ya know? [*]A new Kingdom Hearts III story trailer showcasing a few custscenes, but obviously not to the point we get spoiled or anything, but just enough to get us excited! (Likely.): I think it's safe to say that by December, we should get at least one story trailer to whet our appetites and get us to speculate!  Who knows what could happen!? [*]Kingdom Hearts III's release date! (Not Likely.) While I would love for Nomura to reveal Kingdom Hearts III's release date, somehow, I'm thinking that we won't be getting a release date this December!  At the most, it could be that Nomura does like Tabata, and announces an event that'll reveal the release date of the game, an Uncovered event, if you will! [*]Roy Conli unveils Treasure Planet as a world for Kingdom Hearts III! (Likely.): Look, it's no secret that I love Treasure Planet, and I've desperately wanted that film to be made into a world in Kingdom Hearts, and I'm really hoping that III is where Treasure Planet shall finally take the stage!  All of Roy's other films have made it into the series, so Treasure Planet is the only one remaining on the list!  The fact that a code for a scrapped Treasure Planet world was found recently in Dream Drop Distance's code, it means that Treasure Planet has at least been considered, so I'm hoping we get a reveal this December! :') [*]Utada Hikaru's new theme song for Kingdom Hearts III! (Most Likely.)  With Utada Hikaru back in the music world, and with her latest album around, I'm pretty sure that one of the songs in the album could be for Kingdom Hearts III!  Or maybe she'll come up with a new song entirely!  I could definitely see a new theme song as a plausible announcement! [*]Kingdom Hearts III: Uncovered! (Likely.) As I mentioned a bit ago, if Nomura announces an Uncovered event, then we'd probably get it at the 15th Anniversary of the series, which would be March of next year, and I'm guessing December would serve as the announcement for said event, if it were to happen!

No Kingdom Hearts III Uncovered. I reject that idea. However, a Kingdom Hearts III Unlocked event, now that I could get get behind. What I'd really like is some kind of convermation one way or the other on the status of Drive Forms returning. Last we heard is was "under consideration" But that was before his new outfit was finalizd, when Nomura was still thinking abotu keepiing the KH2 one I'd like to see gameplay using Drive Forms. Or an announcemt that shuts it down. I just want to know!

Everything's pretty much on point and will most likely happen. You know what screw it I believe we can still get a release date this December or at least release year meaning Q1 Q2 Q3 Q4 of the year there's really no excuse why there can't be. I'm really going to not try and see any more trailers I don't want to spoil myself anymore then I have too. we're all dying for a release date it's going to be a huge smack in the face if we get yet another now in development. Can you imagine waiting a whole year and at the end to get yet another now development?Thats Purgatory to the extreme lool.

Personally, I don't think it makes sense to do  given how we'll have the demo and movie equivalents (AKA 2.8) waaay before march, and those were the biggest draws from the FFXV event besides the release date. It just wouldn't work for KH3 as it did for FFXV.

Agree with you. We'll probably get some gameplay of a new world and maybe some brief, non-spoilery story cutscenes. Maybe the cutscene will show us some new characters in the Kingdom Shader? Whatever happens, I know it's going to be hype!

They wouldn't show the full date xDI think that after 2.8 comes out Nomura will write out one of his letters (He did that with 2.5 I believe) and talks about kingdom hearts 3. Then we'll end up seeing footage at jump festa.It could even end up being a 2018 release which I think is more likely.

Haha, I see what you did there!  Yeah, Unlocked makes more sense, given the overall theme of Kingdom Hearts!  Hah, good eye there, Isamu!  But yeah, now that you mention it, I'd really like to know where Drive Forms are at!  I wonder if they're in the game or not?

 

Everything's pretty much on point and will most likely happen. And yeah, even if we don't get a release date, I hope that at least a release window is revealed to us!  A "Coming Winter 2017" release window would be more than good enough for me!  But yeah, I think that the game is far enough in development where a release window can be divulged, since Nomura himself stated that Kingdom Hearts III is in an important stage of development this year, ya know?

Oh, I really hope we get to see Riku and Kairi with their new outfits in the Kingdom Shader! I bet they'll look superb!

I really like your ideas and here are some of my thoughts on it:

 

1. I also think we will get some form of trailer, San Fransokyo is very likely I think, and maybe we will see a completely new world, where we could speculate some days on what world it may be before they tell us. I guess this would be fun. Also I would love to see Riku, Kairi and Xehanort in their KHIII renders, I think they would just look absolutely cool.

 

2. I don't know about a story trailer. When it comes to these, I don't really want to see too much story before playing the game myself. I really want it all to be fresh and new when I see it the first time. If they are going to show us something, I hope it's only something minor, maybe some disney world plot that doesn't matter that much in the big picture.

 

3. I don't think we will get the release date. And I also don't think that KHIII is coming in 2017, even if there's some things hinting towards it. I guess March 2018 will be the time we get the game, hopefully I am wrong

 

4. Treasure Planet was one of my favourite movies when I was a little boy, so I would absoluteley love that! There's just so much potential for possible world designs and stuff like this, I really want to see this come true. Also other worlds on my wishlist are: Atlantica (where we're actually on land when Arielle becomes legs and wants to reunite with Eric), Jungle Book (one of my favourite movies as a kid), Wreck it Ralph (I think this could work greatly taking the datascape into consideration) and last but not least, my all time favourite the lions king.

 

5. UTADA HIKARU THEME SONG OMGGGG!!!!!!111111eleven Ok sorry for freaking out, but I would absolutely going to jump on a mountain if that happens. Announcing that Utada Hikaru is back making the music for KHIII would just kill it. Along with that, play the KHIII version of Dearly Beloved or something to us *__*

 

6. Kingdom Hearts 3: Unchained I would call it. I can see this event happening. You can see they're going a similar route with FF15 and KH3 so far, they give both games a movie to release before the game (X Backcover // Kingsglaive) and I would love to see them giving the dieheart fans the pure fanservice event like they did with FF15. I wasn't even caring for FF15, but after watching this event I was totally hyped and instantly preordered it. I can't imagine what I would've done if I actually cared about the game before this event. They could showstuff like:

 

 a) Utada Hikaru & Theme song

 b) Cover Art for KH3

 c) Special KH3 demo where you get to play as Kairi that is not available in the game itself

 d) Gameplay Trailer

I expect a new trailer showing off a new world (could be Big Hero 6 since it's already confirmed) and I agree that the new song might be coming, as well as a little bit of a nod to story cinematics in the trailer like they did with E3 last year and with 2.8 this year. As for regular information, I hope SO BADLY and everyone else too that the release date will at least become a release window. I do think they will focus on 2.8 a lot though.

Yeah, one just gets excited at the whole prospect, ya know?  And yeah, I'm pretty sure that the next gameplay we'll see is from San Fransokyo, since we've already seen quite a lot of other worlds, ya know? For the story bits, it's like you said, they'll probably show us things that don't reveal anything too vital to the plot, ya know? Mostly scenes from the Disney worlds, that could be enough!  As for the release date, you and Shinobi think the same!  He's also guessing that the game may probably come out in 2018, so hey, maybe you two are right!  And yes, Treasure Planet is amazing! Also, I think it'd be cool to explore the land segment of Ariel's world, for sure!  Ooh, and I'd love to see worlds based on the Jungle Book, and Wreck It Ralph! That'd be so awesome!!! X_X

 

I'm very sure we'll see or hear mention of Utada working on Kingdom Hearts III's theme song, and if that turns out to be the case, I'll be one happy gopher!  Ohh, and the event being called Unchained fits really well! I see what you did there!  And I like your ideas on what they would show!  It would be enough for us, especially when it comes to the release date being revealed, ya know?

 

But yeah, let's hope we get surprised in December!
