Kingdom Hearts 3D demo now available on Nintendo eShop

A Kingdom Hearts 3D [Dream Drop Distance] demo is now available to download from the Nintendo 3DS eShop on North American consoles. The demo is, of course, free and will allow you to play it 30 times in total. It is the same demo that appeared on the Japanese eShop, in English-- so, the demo contains the tutorial, boss fight against Ursula, and the start of Traverse Town, playing as Sora. We'll have videos for you soon.

Update 1: The demo is also now available on the Nintendo eShop in both Europe and Australia. This version of the demo only allows for 15 uses, rather than the 30 uses which are possible in the North American version. Apart from this small difference, everything is the same.

Update 2: We have uploaded the demo announcement video from Nintendo Direct, in HD 720p. You can watch this below, or view and download it from our video archive.

Yeah, the one cutscene it shows you includes Neku talking to Sora.

When Neku said Sora wasn't a Player, I couldn't help but think of the other type of player. So I thought, "He is SO a Playa'. >8P"

Is it possible to declare a new favorite game just from playing the demo?

Either way, I use the Flowmotion like a spazz. Oh well. I have 38 days 21 hours to perfect the art.

IT WAS BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!! the only thing that could have made it better is having riku in the demo as well.

Honestly, I played the demo, and to all those naysayers, who say:

"it's only traverse town"

Yeah! but its only the NEW parts of traverse town! (cept for the cutscene)

so I really liked the demo and it looks awesome,

I was afraid It would look cropped up.

But they made it in a way it's all really small, and doesn't look small or tiny at all!

and about the fourth district, it is huge! like,.. HUUUGEEE! They said the maps would be bigger and we really have something to look forward too now, cause I bet only treasure hunting will take hours.

and like Expected I suck at flow motion -.-

I was like "Y" and I went the opposite direction of where I wanted to go, hahaha

But at least I was good at sliding, bwahaha

Oh I got something puppin op me screen saying "cloud"

I was like,.. cloud is here? but I couldn't fight anything or something,

It was great, but as everyone else said it was short...although I am completely addicted to the free-flow action! And I hope that the dream-eaters will come in bigger masses later on in the game, because I felt a little under challenged with the amount in the demo. and the 3d is beautiful! This will definitely not just be a button mashing game. (I was watching the Hunchback of Notre Dame when I got the demo, I am so excited for that world!)

It's downloading as I type. I can't wait to finally try it. *O*

I'm downloading it right now. Thought it was necessary to make a new topic haha =D

So yeah, what do you think of it?

And fun fact: the demo for Theatre Rhythm Final Fantasy is up on Aussie eShop too. Gonna download that next.

AGH!!! I'm so excited =D =D

It was seriously amazing. Free-flow was a lot easier than I expected and I actually used commands this time, whereas usually I just use attack and only have cures in my command deck. Annoyingly we only get 15 tries here in the UK but ah well, I'll just have to limit my playing to once every 2 days

Its actually on europe e-shop too if people were unsure, but sadly 15 tries for us. Guess its because we get it sooner? Who knows?

The game looks and plays awesome! Just a shame I couldnt try Circle pad pro on it.

And damn nintendo, announcing the 3DS XL. If they included the CPP with it, or even announced plans of a CPP XL or something, good, but now if I want to trade in my 3DS for that, it'll be without CPP...

A demo is available on Europe e-Shop too.
