Kingdom Hearts χ[chi] appears in March 28 issue of Famitsu, game teams to be based on animals

Churro

The March 28, 2013 issue of Famitsu Weekly has included an article on Kingdom Hearts χ[chi] (pronounced "Kingdom Hearts Key"), the currently Japan-only Kingdom Hearts game for web browsers. The article explains that while playing Kingdom Hearts χ[chi], the player will join one of 5 teams and compete against each other. The teams are based on animals, and are known as "Unikorunisu" (Unicorns), "Reoparudosu" (Leopards), "Anguisu" (???), "Urupeusu" (???) and "Urususu" (???). A full translation will be available soon.

bKvEBVAvUq has uploaded a scan of the article, and thanks to him, this can be seen below.

Update: Oishii has translated the information in this scan, which you can read below.

In this work, when a player begins creating their own avatar, they can choose a “Union” to join. A Union is a group with which you kill enemies with the purpose of collecting “Lux”. Every week, the amount of Lux collected by each Union is calculated. If you enter the highest rank, you can take part in a mission where it is possible to obtain a special reward.

are those medals?

They look like medals/achievements to me. A translation will tell for sure though so we'll have to wait.

"Urususu" simply means "bears", "Anguisu" is a sort of "lizards" and "Urupeusu" is translated in English "claws". ;)

'Anguis' is latin for 'snake' and 'ursa' is latin for 'bear'. However I don't know what 'urupeusu' is meant to be. It looks like a fox to me but the latin word is completely different.

Anguis is a genus of legless lizard. It's the icon that looks like a snake. (okay fine the above answer works too, but I usually use "serpens" instead...haha I think too much)

"Urupeusu" is a transliteration of vulpes, Latin for "fox". There's a similar translation quirk regarding the Japanese name for Volcarona (Ulgamoth or "Urugamosu", which was taken from the Roman god Vulcan).

There is no special Latin for Unicorns, though, as it's translated as unikorunisu.  or leopards, for that matter, as reoparudosu.

Screw you SE and your using Latin! How many languages do you want me to learn to be able to translate this stuff?!

Unicornis, Leopadus, Anguis, Lupus and Ursus are the proper names for each team. Personally I will be joining the Lupus or Anguis team, cause wolfs and snakes are awesome. :V
