  1. Yep, you are. One of the God Generals literally calls him the "charred remains of the sacred flame" or something very similar. I don't remember the exact wording, but I do remember that scene specifically. Wow, I've never heard this before, but that's a really cool way to look at it!
  2. I've been wanting to try Devil Survivor. I normally stick to physical copies, but I've never seen one for $10 so I might just bite the bullet on that one. But I still need to finish PersonaQ and SMTIV... Eugh, decisions, decisions...
  3. I'm about halfway as well. My midterm grades were all A's, so I'm pretty happy. We've finally gotten past the basic level stuff in Computer Science (so we're done with learning about binary and memory and registers and all that) and we've gotten to HTML and Javascript. Next week we're going to be making Android apps with an online app creator (MIT App Inventor). I'm not super good with HTML or any of the programming type stuff that we've done, but I think its pretty fun. Kinda like puzzle solving. We used this program called Scratch (uses a click and drag system with blocks that represent different types of code) and I made Pokemon catching game. Took me around 12 hours (at least 5 of which was trying to fix the bugs), but I didn't get too frustrated. My other classes are eh. My writing class is based on a topic I don't especially care for (the idea of the American dream, basically), but the professor and students are all great. And my Spanish class has just been a ton of stuff I did in high school grammar wise, though we have learned some different vocabulary.
  4. Hmm, well I suppose I could give my thoughts. I'll have to do it later though, as I'm currently just on lunch break at school. And thanks. ^_^ I really do know this, but SAO just gets such ungodly amounts of hate that it almost feels like a crime to actually enjoy it (especially the Fairy Dance arc, dear lord so many people hate on that one). For some reason, a lot of stuff I like tends to have very vocal haters, so it gets to me after awhile. You're right though, I should just enjoy what I want to without caring about other people's opinions. (Also, Steins;Gate avatars for the win!)
  5. I don't understand this either. Heck, I thought the Phantom Bullet arc was pretty good too, I even preferred it to the actual SAO arc (and I love fantasy settings, so that surprised me). But I also liked the Fairy Dance arc, so I'm sure people would just write me off as having crap taste. -_- Honestly, I disagree with a lot of what was said in the opening thread. I won't argue, since it looks like tons of people already are. But I'll make an observation, it seems like you just don't care for slice of life that much. I liked Lucky Star, but there's absolutely nothing there if you don't like slice of life (I've seen it called the anime about nothing before). Haven't watched K-On, but I've heard its supposed to be a good show in the genre. And one of the main parts you singled out about SAO was when Kirito an Asuna bought the house, which were very much slice of life styled episodes.
  6. This week has just been... awful. Why is October always the most stressful month. T_T
  7. Literally everything that's not the gummi ships. They're ugly and I hate the minigame (KH2 was tolerable, but KH1 is downright awful in this regard). Keyblade gliders are cool looking, but if I remember right, the missions weren't very different from gummi ships. I don't remember being particularly annoyed with dropping. Honestly, though, I don't think I'll ever really like the world traveling minigames. I won't say they should be removed (I know plenty of people enjoy them) but, I don't care for them.
  8. My professor mentioned CERN in class today. I nearly shouted "THE ORGANIZATION!" on accident... Too much Steins;Gate recently.
  9. *ehem* still my favorite game
  10. Xirakaz Zaxirak Xizarak Xazarik Kazarix I think the top and bottom sound pretty decent. Probably go with Xirakaz.
  11. I used to go every year. I think I stopped when I was.. 15? Somewhere around there. It got awkward, as by that point I was taller than 70% of the people handing out the candy. If not for that, I would totally still go. ^_^
  12. "Blah blah blah Tidal Wave!" - Rita from Vesperia. At a certain level Overlimit, all her incantations just become "blah blah blah", but Tidal Wave is specifically used in the best Grade grinding method. "I'll kill you bas****s!" - Anise from Abyss. Use her mystic arte without having Jade or Luke in the party. "I, who stand in the full light of the heavens, command thee who opens the gates of hell! Come forth divine lightning! This ends now! Indignation!" - Jade from Abyss. Indignation, nuff said.
  13. Now you know my pain. O‿O
  14. I know the feeling. If anything I think I might be getting worse. >_<
  15. Geez, of all the things I thought I'd see on this site, this was not one of them. You've been a staff member for the majority of my time on this site. It's going to be so weird now. x_x But I respect your decision, and I wish you all the best. You've done so much for this site, thank you.
  16. Save it on the off chance you find a Shiny that can self destruct... (Yes, I know the pain...)
  17. I've played a few fighting games with a joystick. Dead or Alive, Soul Caliber, and Persona Arena. Honestly, I've never actually played Persona Arena with a normal controller.
  18. Yeah, there's Team Destiny and Team Symphonia. Team Symphonia has done things like Abyss, Vesperia, and (obviously) Symphonia. Team Destiny did stuff like Graces, Rebirth, and Destiny. From what it looks like though (from my few minutes of research), it seems like these teams aren't actually a thing anymore. Since Xillia it appears that they've all become one.
  19. I didn't LIKE it, but I also didn't dislike it. It was a game play mechanic that was really easy to work around, and gave me incentive to switch between characters more than I would've otherwise. Most of the time when I began to get close to dropping I was like "kay." I only recall being annoyed once or twice. As a game play mechanic I'm indifferent, but I think the story reason for it was clever.
  20. Well, Steins;Gate is officially the first "game" to truly make me cry... Not sob, but more than just tear up...
  21. I'm a bit of an introverted type, so normally I'll just not interact with others very much during the weekend. I'll play a game, read a book, get on the internet, maybe watch something. If it's been particularly bad, to the point where it's put me in what I call "angst mode", I might write some bad poetry or something. I also tend to let myself sleep in later than normal. For example, I try to wake up by 10 AM on weekends, but if the week has been stressful I'll allow myself to sleep to 10:30 or 11.
  22. I love Year of the Dragon from the original Spyro trilogy, and Ripto's Rage is great. I personally don't like the first very much, but I also haven't played it much at all. I wouldn't know about the fanbase, I've never really seen much from the Spyro fanbase (or looked for it). Haven't played the other games on your list though sorry.
