  1. I'm not denying that bad writing has a hand in this (because it most definitely does; especially with II), but there is some reasoning behind it all, I think. During Dream Drop Distance, I'm pretty sure that Ven's personality was leaking into Sora's and effecting him. 3D's also the first time he's ever got to go on a journey where everything (so he thought, anyway) was perfectly alright, so you can tell Sora's really enjoying himself more and having fun during his test in it. As for why he fell into Xemnas' trap and all that, they were in the Realm of Sleep. Maybe Sora thought they weren't real, and that he wasn't in any true danger? It also would never be like him to ignore anyone hurting (such was his character development in KH1, when he originally didn't care about the saving the worlds thing so much, but just Riku and Kairi), so that's why he chased after the dreams. For KHII... some of the writing is inexcusable to me (like Sora forgetting they're supposed to board the train right after he's told it), but there are also some golden moments full of personality (like when he wanted to possibly knock Scar off the throne to become the Pridelands' next king, maybe) that DDD kind of lost, as they almost made him too saint-like. Just keep in mind that in KHII, you can tell that Sora is actually faking his happiness a lot. Such as with this line, "Right. We're always just passing through. I wonder when we'll see home again... Just kidding you!" Sora was most definitely not kidding there.
  2. Wow, this is really something! If I didn't know better, I'd think this was some Nomura official art right here:)
  3. Scenario planner means someone helping with the story, right? If so, I'm kind of excited about the prospect of that (if it's someone good, that is), because though KH has amazing, amazing ideas... Well, honestly, it's execution of said ideas falls short a lot of times. I'm really hoping that anyone helping to work on the story will: add some humor (the series kind of needs it), treat the female characters better, have things be less convoluted (I don't mind the complexity, but KH can be one big mess at times; I also feel like every loose end imaginable needs to somehow be wrapped up within this title), balance the Disney stuff more (i.e. have it be important to the overall plot again), have consistent characterization for the characters (looking at you, Sora), and make sure that we don't get info dumps all at the end of the game again (or worse: us having another KHII experience, where we mostly see SDG doing filler-ish stuff, and don't see some of the important stuff going on in the background). I know my wish list here is ridiculously high here--and that I'll be lucky to see maybe one of those things getting addressed in KHIII--but I can dream^^ And this kind of does sound like a step in the right direction to me:)
  4. Totally what I meant to say! Reasons why I shouldn't post on sites when I have a cold. LOL. But thanks for clearing that up for me, on the off-chance that I didn't know. I really do mean that. Thank you:)
  5. Not gonna lie... this trailer is pretty dang awesome, and it just has me all the more excited for Unchained now. Also, this is so much better than the Madoka Rebellion trailers that used real people like this. So much better... Those were kind of bad, actually. So major kudos for this, oh wise trailer maker at Square Enix:)
  6. This is definitely good news to me! I want to see how the graphics are coming along, and I'm definitely interested in all things Chi (in fact, depending on who's voicing the Foretellers, it may or may not end up confirming an interesting theory). I was starting to (ridiculously) worry that we'd never get KH news again. At least not for a long time, anyway. I mean... I don't blame Square at all for not releasing the D23 trailer (as they never promised that they would), but that on top of the manga being over, Unchained still not being available, and II.8 and III still being forever away was all just a little bit disheartening. This definitely has me perked up and excited for what's to come, though!
  7. I was Mulan... Apparently because "I was once insecure, but now I can impress even my toughest critic", or something like that. I guess I could kind of see it, but I'm still wondering how the heck this test calculates things. LOL.
  8. I think Zara from the game "Disney Princess: Enchanted Journey" would be a fantastic choice. (For those who don't know of it, think Diet Kingdom Hearts, because that's essentially what the game is. LOL.) You see, she was once a princess, but lost her title for whatever reason. Because of that, she then decided that if she didn't get to be royalty, then no one else should have that right. She then started sending these evil creatures, Bogs, into the Disney princesses' various worlds to try and ruin their happiness. The character that you play as is desperately trying to stop this. It'll never happen, but I think that she would work really well for KHIII. She could even work with Xehanort, maybe, in targeting the Princesses, as they both have some sort of goal about them. Not only that, but other worlds are already even canon in her story. And I feel like she'd be a nice contrast to all the Princesses of Heart. Anyway, here's a video about her from the game:
  9. This is perhaps a very weird one, but I'm going to say "The Phantom of the Opera" (probably the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical version, even though I have major issues with it when compared to the novel; ALW likes to romanticize the Phantom, and his relationship with Christine, WAY TOO MUCH and to sugar coat things, but it's still probably the best adaptation out there). And mainly I'd just want to fight the Phantom, who is one of the most genius, OP, three-dimensional, and sympathetic villains of all time. (Note that I say he is sympathetic here and not condoned. Yes, we can sympathize with Erik/the Phantom, but even given his back story, the murders he carries out are in no shape or form okay. "Tragic back stories explain crimes; they don't condone them." At the end of the day, the Phantom is still the villain of the story--something that I feel like a lot of people don't seem to realize.) Speaking of that idea, I think it could be a good plot point for KH. It's almost like the opposite of the Beauty & the Beast, really. The Phantom tainted his own happiness through his actions. It was never his hideousness that scared away the people that he loved. He could have been happy if he had just realized that he didn't have to control people by fear, and keep the people he supposedly cared about (Christine, the Persian, and Madame Giry, for example) with him through that fear and manipulation. As Christine sings in the musical, "This haunted face holds no horror for me now. It's in your soul that the true distortion lies." Some people really can't be saved. It's a sad truth to be sure, but it is a truth, and in a lot of ways the Phantom of the Opera is one such example. Even if Christine had stayed with him, things would not have been okay for Erik, for we see in the novel that even when Christine is with him it's destructive towards both of them (mainly in the scene where he's digging his fingernails into her scalp, and then uses her own fingernails to dig into his own face and hurt himself). He was just that insane. Erik is an example of someone doing one good thing in his life (in letting Christine and Raoul go at the end of the story), but I don't think he could have truly changed for the better even after that. I don't think he had it in him. He'd become a sociopath, who saw humans too far below himself for what they'd done to him; so he really isn't as selfless towards the end as so many people seem to think, in my opinion. And I don't know... I just think KH could really benefit from having one character like this in it to show these sad truths. As Norrington in Pirates 1 said, "One good deed is not enough to redeem a man of a lifetime of wickedness." Buuuuuuuut, this will of course never happen (unless I end up finishing my Phantom of the Opera--Gaston Leroux version--screenplay I've been working on, and Disney actually okays it and wants to make a movie of it. LOL.), so I'll just settle with a Phantom of the Megaplex boss fight in the Coliseum, or something. After all, The Phantom of the Megaplex was totally based on TPotO, and Disney actually owns that one! ...But in all seriousness, I know even that will never happen. A girl can dream, though. LOL. Edit: Oh, and Phantom of the Opera would be great, too, because Christine would undoubtedly be our party member! Yay for female party members, as that so rarely happens in this series. LOL. But no, it really would be Christine. Not only because is she the main character, and the person to which this entire story spins, but you can really tell in the original novel that Gaston Leroux was trying to write a female heroine for his work: someone who could stand up against Erik. Someone who was even stronger than Raoul, who is the viewpoint character for the book, and who would usually be the--somewhat clichéd--hero in such a tale. And really, that was quite commendable of him, seeing as how this novel was written about a hundred years ago now, and female leads most definitely weren't the popular opinion back then. LOL. I mean, just look at the silent film version of Phantom--that came out many years after the novel--that does mess up that Christine is supposed to be the hero, as that was still such a spectacle at the time. Also... Sora and Raoul realizing just how alike the two of them are would be great. LOL. Yep. I could most definitely live with this world happening, were it ever possible;)
  10. Normally I would say the KH1 one--because it's just so simple, crisp, and clean; plus, I love the colors used there--but there's something about the Chi logo that really calls out to me. I don't even know why. So I voted for that one:)
  11. Personally, I've been on this team for a while. LOL. I know some people will probably argue and think that Nomura had a crazier explanation for her Keyblade planned, but I think we already covered the "more in-depth part": with the Keyblade Inheritance Ceremonies we learned about in BbS. So knowing that Kairi did get the ability to wield from Aqua then, I most definitely believe that Destiny's Embrace is hers, and that Riku just handed it to her via the "Delivery Boy Principle" in KHII, as mentioned above:)
  12. And I totally caved and made a sappy post about KH1 today. It can be seen here, if you'd like. LOL. http://anheiressofasoldier.deviantart.com/journal/Kingdom-Hearts-13th-Birthday-in-North-America-560880166#comments And now I want to go rewatch this video, that totally displays my feelings perfectly, for the umpteenth time. LOL.
  13. If it's too much trouble to do my prompt, then don't even worry about it. Thanks for even considering it, though:) And OMG. I'm so psyched about II.8. I can't believe I was ractually ight about BbSV2 and that we're finally getting it. OMG. I wasn't expecting this at all. Eep!
  14. I also wouldn't mind him just releasing some sort of nice statement, or maybe some new official art as he’s been doing, either:) Btw! Are you taking prompts for Sea & Sky again this year at all? If so—and if it’s not too much trouble—do you think you could maybe make a scene of Sora and Kairi dancing in Halloween Town for real? Because now that Halloween Town might not be in KHIII, I'm sad that that fantasy of Sora’s might not come into actual fruition:( At least no...
  15. I know I did that quite a bit for the ten-year one (and this video ), so don't feel bad. LOL. And if I have the time, I might make a sappy post for the thirteenth one, as well. And come to think of it… I really wonder if Nomura's going to plan to honor the thirteen-year anniversary in any way, shape, or form. Maybe with II.9, since TGS is going on during SoKai Day? Maybe that's the mystery game? Though to be honest,...
  16. Yeah, it's the strangest thing. I can look at people's blogs, but I can't login to Tumblr at all. I think it has something to do with my computer freaking out when trying to load my dashboard? I have no freaking clue. I'm glad you noticed it, though! Gives me hope that people saw that message, and don't think I just died or something. LOL. So SoKai Day's coming up in a few days! Do you think you're doing something for that this year?...
  17. Hey, thanks a bunch for the add, SorasPromise! I didn't know that you used KH13! How've you been?
  18. Nomura said that there was still a story to tell, though, but he just wasn't sure how to go about presenting it. Maybe he's finally found the way now? Plus, he said he didn't want to release KH3D by itself--as he didn't think it would be meaty enough for people to want to buy it again--so including BbSV2 (even if it's just cutscenes) could sweeten that deal. Also, I feel like a lot of you are forgetting that SE lies. They have to until corporate finally allows them to reveal info on the games they've been working on. So the idea of the Remixes not being on PS4, or no new games until KHIII, could very much be lies. Let us not forget that Nomura, when asked if Ven and Aqua were people that the Lingering Will was talking about in KHIIFM, said that he might have just been talking about the elements. Not too long after that, we got more info on BbS and lo and behold Ven and Aqua were friends to our dear Lingering Will (Terra) and not literally wind and water. LOL. Or perhaps a better example? Remember when SE lied and said they weren't working on II.5, but if I.5 got enough attention they might consider it? Yeah... that was obviously a lie, because II.5 was revealed soon after that, and clearly showed that they'd been working on the title for a while. ...But mainly I'm just playing devil's advocate here, because as much as I want BbSV2 to happen, I don't think that it's going to. But we'll see, I guess:) But in any case, Square's obviously working on SOMETHING new here, otherwise Attraction Flow and boss planning wouldn't be a thing in II.9. It probably IS a KHIII demo or prologue, and maybe it being listed for the PS3's just a typo? And for those worrying about them not being able to put these games on PS4 because of the licensing of Utada's songs, don't worry about it. I'm sure SE could easily work that out with her (especially since I still say she IS coming back for KHIII--as her dad hinted at--and has agreed on things with Square, but is now just keeping it hush-hush until the time is right).
  19. If this is somehow something that contains BbSV2 (and hopefully a KH3D thing, as well) then they can sign me up for it right now. I've wanted that game since it was first teased. LOL. Whatever this is, though, it sure is exciting. That's for sure. Ahh!
  20. James Arnold Taylor's such a cool guy. And it's really nice that he still really appreciates and cares about the game so much., too They didn't do wrong at all in casting him as Tidus, I think. In fact, I think he's the only one who really could have fit the job. Him and Miss Burress both, actually. We're lucky to have as dedicated VAs as them for our FFX world:)
  21. Mix between 1 and 4: Hunchback of Notre Dame was fortunately included in DDD, but Pocahontas (tied with Hunchback for my fav Disney movie) hasn't been featured yet:)
  22. Oy. It's amazing to me how people can take what Jesus said--about loving and helping everyone, about how the meek shall inherit the Earth, and how you need to show kindness even unto your enemies: you know all the amazing, inspiring things He uphold--and turn it into this! I, myself, am Christian. But I dare say that the person who wrote this article most likely isn't. And if they are, they're completely ignorant and really need to rethink some things. Here's the thing that some people don't seem to get (and I can say this all with one-hundred percent clarity, as I'm reading through the Bible right now). The Old Testament was the time of the Law: and things were very, very strict back then. If someone killed your family, for instance, you were allowed to go out and kill them in revenge (though only the accused, and no one connected to them, like their innocent family: it was very much an eye for an eye). You also had to make sacrifices of animals to cover the wages of your sin. BUT then the new testament came along--Jesus came along, and praise God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit that He did--and HE paid the way for our sins with his Crucifixion, so now we don't have to do stuff like that anymore. One shouldn't even think it! We just have to believe in Him, and everything else is covered, and we need not live in such a barbaric way because ALL is forgiven if you believe on Him. It's the Age of Grace that we live in now--Jesus' Grace--and things like this are completely wasting the sacrifice He made for us, and misconstruing everything. Ugh. Another example is how in the Old Testament, an adulterer would have been stoned to death, but in the NEW Testament Jesus said "Ye without sin cast the first stone," and He allowed her to go free--telling her to sin no more, as He did so. It's the Age of Grace--the age of the New Testament--that we live in now, and such old behavior should not be looked at at all. People like this really need to get with it.
  23. I'm pretty sure you're joking, but I'll reply with my thoughts on the matter, just in case:) For one, there's a chance that Madoka might be Bi. Also... even though I'm like ninety-nine percent sure that Madoka's in love with Homura, it hasn't been confirmed yet. Hinted at a lot, yes, but Madoka also loves everyone in the entire world, so unless we actually get concrete evidence about it, I'm going to call it one-sided Homura loving Madoka (though HIGHLY hinted at going both ways) until then. Also... I do love this ship in all its cracky glory (mainly because these are my two favorite fandoms, and I love Sora and Madoka's characters to death), but for me it'll always be SoKai and MadoHomu at the end of the day:) Anywho, mayhaps we should call this ship "Divine Intervention" or something, seeing as how Sora and Madoka are both Messiah type figures... IDK.
  24. A simple banner I made, to highlight some of the similarities between Kairi and Naminé that I just noticed in the mangas:)
