  1. To celebrate this day for my neighbors up north, I'm sharing my most favorite Canada-related thing to you all. Happy anniversary, eh.
  2. Sorry to say but I'm dropping out of the RP. I've had a lot of fun since I've joined, but my interest has stagnated and no matter what, I don't like to force myself to continue being in something I don't enjoy, so I'd rather just call it quits now. Sorry to all, good luck from here on out.
  3. Let's. Do. *voice crack* THIS.
  4. I hope you're not a nasty girl. I prefer an independent woman. Even then, don't expect us to cater to you either because around here, you have to prove you're a survivor, a soldier, and that you're bootylicious... wait, what's that... I'm being informed by the top brass that you are not required to be bootylicious. Or a sexy daddy. Okay, enough song puns. Welcome to the site.
  5. THE ROCK HAS COME BACK TO-oh wait, wrong thing. OT: Having seen the short in full, I couldn't help but chuckle at that scene. The people doing these shorts have a really good sense of humor.
  6. Still waiting for that long awaited plot twist where it turns out Pluto was a master of Darkness all along. He could make for a good villain.
  7. I'm offended that Crash Boom Bang! isn't on this list. Clearly, the best game of 2006. It had underwater board games, what more do you want ya perfectionists?
  8. Warthogs belong in Ringlings! ... If you can guess where that's from, then I'm sorry. I'm just... sorry.
  9. Thoughts on Season 2, Episodes 12-13:
  10. Grab your potato chips and breath a sigh of annoyance about how everything is a drag because this newest (and for some reason grayscale) scan from WSJ confirms that Shikamaru and Choji will be playable characters in Shinobi Strikers! Source It also details more abut the new type system by explaining the special abilities/attacks of the previously mentioned two as well as Naruto and Sasuke: EDIT: (7/19/17) More characters are confirmed as Rock Lee and Hinata Hyuga join the fray! Source
  11. Sorry guys, but I'm afraid that I'm going to have to close up shop. The thread has not been getting as much attention as I wanted. I was really hoping that I could draw a big audience for this concept, and since that really isn't the case, it has stilted my motivation to go further. Not that I don't appreciate the sheets I have gotten so far, but I just don't really have the drive to commit unless I have a sizable roster. This was intended to be an RP with multiple people and if I can't fulfill that quota, then I personally am just not going to have as much fun with the idea as I wanted to. Again, sorry to everybody who posted sheets but I'd rather you have a host that's ready to set sail then just one who feels like throwing himself overboard... yes, I just ended with two nautical puns, what, I'm trying to soften the blow here.
  12. In case you haven't heard already, Future Trunks is officially confirmed for the FighterZ roster! Source In addition, we also have an official screenshot of him in the game! Source EDIT: (7/19/17) New info rolls in featuring online features, the upcoming closed beta, and two brand new characters in Piccolo and Kuririn! Source Source Source (EDIT: 7/20/17) Even more news rolls in as we see some more gameplay visuals for Piccolo as well as more detail about online features like Replay Channel and Emotion Stamps! Source
  13. Forgot about Shukaku, honestly. Might as well count the rest of the Jinchuriki in there while we're at it. Hanabi will probably definetly be in, though I only say that because of her involvement in more recent things like The Last and the Boruto anime. She's gotten a lot of attention lately for someone who barely had any sceentime or even lines in the original manga. Kushina is also a good choice for obvious reasons though I think it'd be fun to get away from the whole "super powered housewife" schtick she had in Storm and focus more on having her use some Nine Tails or even Uzumaki sealing style attacks. She can still be comedic, but still, nothing wrong with a little change-up. I'm not sure about Rin. I mean, maybe if a Boyhood arc Kakashi and Obito are included but I just don't really see that happening either.
  14. As I mentioned, this cartoon could possibly be an indicator of Sony "testing the waters" so to speak for interest in new Sly properties. This is not a sure thing obviously, but whether or not that is their intention, and whether or not Sucker Punch/Sanzaru has any plans and/or intention to make a new Sly game, this still still prove well to get Sly some much needed buzz. But yeah, we need Sly 5 because Thieves in Time's secret ending was too much for all of us to handle without possibility of a follow-up pls help us based Sanzaru
  15. I got into the series after I played the Sly Collection and then later Thieves In Time. It's really fun.
  16. Eh, I worded that kinda weird in the first iteration of the post, so ignore that. A franchise can't be waning in popularity if it hasn't even had a full game in three years. Still, more Sly stuff is still a good thing.
  17. Source Remember when that Sly Cooper movie was teased all the way back in the ancient year of 2014? Well either that is still on the fence or it has been broken down and rebuilt as this upcoming animated series by Sony and Technicolor Animation Productions. No details on a release date nor for voice cast roles are available at this time. Here's what we know about the show so far: Also, by word of Sandrine Nguyen, Managing Director, Technicolor Animation Productions: I, for one, was hooked the minute I read that this would be handled by Technicolor because they are the same team behind the Sonic Boom cartoon, and if this is anything like the Sonic Boom cartoon (which is insanely funny and entertaining and I recommend both fans of Sonic and cartoons in general to check it out), it will be a sure-fire hit that will hopefully breed interest for even more Sly stuff in the future. We do still need a Sly 5 after all. Fingers crossed.
  18. Straight from E3, we have an interview with the game's producer, the lovely Tomoko Hiroki! Here's what she went over: As many in the community have already attested to, the game is not only focused on catering to fans of the franchise but also fans of the fighting game genre. Hiroki reiterates this point as she mentions that there will be no "level up systems" or "customization" for players to have access to, possibly referring to the more action RPG oriented elements of the Xenoverse games, and instead have them "use their minds, their skills, and their techniques to master the game." Each character in the roster will have their own unique identity, focusing on Goku and Gohan. She describes Goku as a character "made for beginners" and describes Gohan as a short but heavy hitter. The 3v3 mechanic was implemented for two reasons: 1) Because it will add more strategy to the gameplay and 2) so that players can create unique "Dream Teams", as she puts it. The game is unique to other fighters as it includes various DragonBall-esque features, including: the "Super Dash" (also called the "Homing Dash"), a technique for airborne opponents that launches you at them to continue battling them mid-air; the "Ki Charge": the basic act of gathering Ki seen in most common DragonBall games; and the "Dragon Rush", a replacement for standard throw moves seen in other fighters that acts as a standard combo finisher that launches your opponent skyward to continue the combo in the air. Hiroki implies that the game will have a rich list of combos as well as utilize the "speedy" kind of play-style that Arc Systems Works is best known for. When asked about the game's functionality with standard 1v1 battles versus the focused on 3v3 system, she did not confirm nor deny 1v1 only battles but stated that they focused on "creating a good balance and experience for this game using the 3v3 feature". Finally: when asked about balance between characters who have transformations versus characters with no transformations, Hiroki said that transformations are only one of a certain character's attacks available to them and therefore, there should be no imbalance between the two.
  19. Sony had Spider-Man, which got me the most hyped, so they win in my book.
  20. As someone with partial Hispanic heritage, I share this sentiment. Also, way to ignore the low-hanging fruit of pointing out racial stereotypes involving Captain Mama Mia himself... actually, that's a good thing, continue to ignore that, we don't need another comment like this.
  21. QTE's aren't inherently bad, and the game still gives you tons of forward motion with each interval. He's not Deadpool, his humor isn't supposed to be over-the-top. Subtle natural humor is what he sticks (ha, get it, web, stick) to primarily.
  22. DragonBall FighterZ, Sonic Mania + Forces, and Spider-Man, for sure. I'm also considering picking up Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite.
