As much as it pains me to say this, this will probably most likely happen. I remember back when new PS2 titles were 49.99. Now with this gen it's a standard 59.99. So 69.99 for next gen games? It just seems more likely.

Reading over the "Sora's mom" thread got me thinking about something. I think there's a possibility Riku could be orphaned. Although family isn't a big part of Kingdom Hearts in general, we've gotten subtle hints here & there on family. Here's what we know so far: Sora's mom calling him for dinner in KH1 = Sora's mom confirmed Riku mentioning Sora's dad in BBS = Sora's dad confirmed Sora mentioning the Mayor adopting Kairi in KH1 = Kairi's adoptive parent confirmed Kairi's grandmother in KH1 = Kairi's grandmother confirmed Riku: Zero reference to any existing family member. Him being an orphan could further explain his attitude throughout KH1, like how he has to be better than everyone else in every single aspect. Him desperately wanting to leave the island and wanting to discover other places, possibly because he wanted to run away from his lonely existence (as far as family life is concerned.) Not that this would have anything to do with the story, I just figured maybe it's a possibility.

Maybe they realized they were digging themselves a deeper hole by keeping the current battle system, and altering it would push the game out faster?

Yeah, it'll probably be something stupid like Mickey's kingdom keyblade and Sora's keyblade combined = X-blade.

There's a possibility every year. But yeah, I think we might get an E3 announcement next year. The 2.5 HD collection will most likely be announced at this year's TGS, so next year is pretty much an open field.

As long as it isn't on-disk DLC (I'm completely against that B$,) then I'm totally cool with it. Maybe like an extra world, or some keyblade/costume packs.

I've said it on the other two threads, but yeah I think so. I want this game to be innovative & use all the up-to-date tech, so I'd feel a little cheated if it came on PS3 instead. Also, considering developing on the PS4 is significantly easier than on the PS3, it would make sense to develop on that instead. It might end up costing a lot more money/time/staff to make the game on the PS3.

I don't see myself waiting on line for it, but I'm definitely buying it as soon as a nice bundle comes out. I'd eventually like to get a PS4 +Vita, if Sony manages to make an appealing bundle for the two, I'll be impressed.

The PS4 is supposed to be indefinitely easier to develop on than the PS3. I think that reason alone justifies it'll be on PS4 instead. Square would be crazy to waste precious development time on a project that will easily sell millions. But yeah, like others are saying I'm pretty sure 2.5 will also be on PS3. And both HD collections should be available to play on PS4's Gaikai service. At least it makes sense.

I've been having these weird thoughts lately.

Why are people complaining that they have to re-buy games? Just play the games you already own on your PS3. Being able to play them on the PS4 won't make your games any better. I can almost guarantee you they'll look & play exactly the same.

I actually really hope it's announced for PS4 and not PS3, the specs on the new system are gorgeous.

You're going by the logic that the next Xbox will be better just because it might get released last?
