"in the middle of a disney movie's plot" U mean literally like every single game in the series? At least for places like Toy Box and Monster Inc they take place AFTER their movies(Toy box after Toy story 2 and monstropolis after the original Monster Inc) and unlike past games at least the organization's scheme actually ties to most of the worlds u visit for once where before only Xaldin's shtick in Beast Castle was tying anything in the disney world's to the overall plot And I disagree with the dialogue,cuz unlike past games they talk like actual people for once and isnt spamming the words "darkness" and "heart" every waking second of the day,sure there are still the usual KH vocabulary bullcrap like the usage of the word "hurt" rather than more naturally sounding synonyms like pain,suffering or agony but it's nowhere near as bad as Re:Chain of Memories and Birth by Sleep where I wanted everybody to shut up Really for me what makes KH3 suffer is the ties to all the non-sensical jargin from BBS,DDD and Union/Unchained X cuz so much could've been trimmed if u take out the whole old and young xehanort shticks and keep xehanort's original story as an apprentice gone mad,keep the number of xehanorts just narrowed to Ansem SoD and Xemnas rather than a bajillion xehanort,cut out all the bullcrap that DDD and Union X introduced and it could've went on a note that satisfied most people even if not everyone Cuz this whole overly long build-up since 2007 only served as a detriment to the story of what could've possibly been one of the best games of this console generation.Cuz there was no way Xehanort's story-arc would've ended on a note that everyone would be content with,not with all the paddings and retcons that were done throughout I still really like KH3(though for reasons different than most of the fandom) and honestly the best way to look at it is to take it on it's own and ignore the nonsense tied to it from past games minus maybe BBS(much to my dismay and shagrin)....

And the best part is,the game,unlike previous entries since BBS,actually acknowledge how ridiculous everything is more than once so the self-awareness actually made me enjoy the plot.....something I haven't felt for the series in a long time And man the charm filling each world is unreal and the dialogue and interactions are much better written than a lot of the drivel BBS and DDD was filled It felt like the pure Disney X Square crossover that filled me with joy back in 2006 when I got into the series and for that I'll praise KH3 tremendously Dude the fact that the game lets u take selfies anywhere u want puts a smile on my face...........I HAD TO TAKE A SELFIE IN MONSTER INC AND I BLOCKED MIKE'S FACE ^_^.......its a small thing sure but it adds up with how much charm this game is filled to the brim with

I heavily HEAVILY disagree and I'm like one of the harshest critics of the series on this site. There is more effort put into 3 than any of the handheld KH games,it is more accessible to boot despite the plot jargin and the combat,while not as good as KH2,is still a lot of fun especially boss battles As someone who's been accused of being a "hater" and as someone who dropped the series after DDD,I can definitely say that for me KH3 was a pleasant surprise...tho I wont deny that my low expectations helped a bit

Oh my god is ....is Sora crying during the last shot with Xehanort? Holy shit seems like Xehanort is going all out in wrecking poor Sora emotionally. Color me interested cuz this and the last trailer actually made me interested in some aspects of the plot.....well only in Sora's character arc cuz this seems like it'll bring a huge change to Sora as a character

Does this mean we're not getting Hollow Bastion/Radiant Garden then?Cuz it didn't appear in any trailer at all I wanna find out what's going on with the Squall/Leon and the gang there and have another rematch with Sephiroth. Why are they so adamant on not adding back any final fantasy characters into the series at all?

In the latest trailer they've shown they've found Ventus...which can only be done through Aqua's knowledge of Castle Oblivion so by extension she should be norted

With the exception of Mad Space,the Treasure Hunting stages weren't bad,it's the fact that the radar can only detect one shard of the master emerald at a time that makes it more cumbersome

Yeah That is obvious I'm just pointing out the one aspect that KH severely lacked which seems to be fixed in KH3 cuz the trailers showed lots of NPCs for places like the Tangle world Even if a lot of them are background NPCs you can't talk to it still helps make the world alive and makes it matter all the more when we save those worlds from the heartless

Music,Architecture,history and ESPECIALLY Townspeople the last one being something recent KH games have been severely lacking in.......from KH2's Aladdin mentioning "the action,the people" WHEN NO ONE IS IN AGRABAH or the laughable Ballroom scene from Birth by Sleep

Yeah 100%ing a game is never a required thing yet for whatever reason people judge games like this as if it's required to get everything As for the moons in Mario Odyssey,heck you don't even need all of them to get to Dark side of the moon and the game even allows you to buy moons with coins so why the complaint from them? The Korok seeds in BoTW aren't even required for anything,they're just there for a joke sidequest

1/I'm not talking about myself but a couple of friends I know who has this issue since I already have a Ps4 And 2/Why would people sell their console for one series of games? If they want the series to go multiplatform then they gotta commit to it.And Square failed at that by not porting over the collections And no the whole "sony exclusivity contract" bullcrap is complete nonsense cuz if it was real then why did the series have like......5 entries on Nintendo systems

Like you said,it's better to just watch a summary of the plot on youtube,play KH3 then if they liked the game they can get the collections to experience the rest of the series There is no excuse for Square not to release the collection on Xbox One or heck even the Switch(KH2 on the go is my dream)

The DK fandom hates this game just because "it has too many things to collect" Even tho you only need just half of that to beat the game No one said they should collect all 201 Gold Bananas or the rest of the stuff there. I did 101% DK 64...........twice It isn't anywhere near as bad as people say

Sheesh dude it's just an opinion And I do understand the plot,that doesn't mean I HAVE to like it I know the Master of Masters wrote it since he had the gazing eye which later he'd put in xehanort's keyblade The Foretellers were so obsessed with their master they couldn't even see how obvious it is that he was setting them against each other so they rathered risking the lives of many young keyblade wielders in a futile war instead of daring to question their master. Time travel introduces so many plot holes,one of which is that.....how can Old xehanort co-exist with Ansem SoD even tho he's his heartless that houses his own heart whom he used to travel through time and it also begs the question of why would Xehanort keep his old body when he has the better heartless one?Heck that's half of his plan in BBS....to get a new body.The vacant spot in the organization could've been filled with another Xehanort clone rather than keeping a body that won't help him in the slightest for the upcoming war. And my problem with the retcons is that it devalues a lot of our progress from the previous games.The fact that their explanation for why NONE of the nobodies knew they can grow their hearts back is the dumb explanation of "Xemnas lied" which is dumb cuz they clearly....CLEARLY are capable of feeling emotion like Vexen's fear of death when Axel killed him,the fact that Roxas and Axel felt emotions almost the whole firetrucking time.I would've bought the excuse of "they simulate emotions they remember" if DDD didn't flat out come and say "All nobodies have hearts and they can grow them back" Then there is Xehanort's whole "IT WAS ALL PART OF MY PLAN" nonsense So you mean to tell me that Ansem SoD's plan to build a Kingdom Hearts of his own through the hearts of the worlds and Xemnas's plan to make a Kingdom Hearts from the hearts of the people THEN sink the universe into Nothingness(which could've absolutely botched all of Xehanort's planning) was aaaaaall part of the plan?And that their failure and demise was also part of the plan too? Not only it is stupid,but it's so counterintuitive as hell for Xehanort's scheme and devalues so much of the progress Sora and his friends made For starters if Xehanort knew all along that the true method of forming the X-Blade is to have 7 lights and 13 darknesses clash with each other?Then why did he even bother splitting Ventus's heart into two halfs when it would just produce a sham of an X-blade?Don't tell me he was running out of time since part of this plan was to get a new body through Terra which he should've done from the start instead of bothering with Ven and then luring Aqua in to the Keyblade Graveyard which only served to make more enemies to thwart his plan. He could've easily located Organization XIII as Ansem SoD the moment he got all seven princesses of heart since they are the aforementioned 7 lights he needs for his plan,proceeded with the Xehanort cloning protocol once Young Xehanort arrives instead of doing this whole nonsense with the heart of all worlds KH and the heart of all people KH they made? The fact that there are so many workarounds for this heaping mess of a plot crashes all the suspension of disbelief which is something any good fictional story needs to attain in order to stop the person from questioning every single thing.There is a reason Metal Gear worked for so long(up until MGS5 shat on everything). It makes the progress we made with Sora and Co a bit pointless if all it served was to further Xehanort's plan even further,not to mention that Mickey could've and should've told them about Terra,Aqua and Ven from the get-go instead of just keeping it to himself until it's too late,that would've saved them so much hassle. It's a very similar problem to that of Final Fantasy XIII in which the first 20 hours of that game was completely and utterly pointless because Barthandelus just came in and said firetruck it I'll tell you guys your Focus to become Ragnarok,kill orphan which would destroy Cocoon when he could've EASILY told them from the get go when they turned into L'cie instead of the vaguest of visions that anyone can give their chosen warriors. I've been with KH for more than a decade now so don't act like as if I know nothing about it. Just because I understand a plot doesn't mean I have to like it It's all just an opinion and I'm allowed to either agree or disagree,I don't have to abide by every statement that comes my direction

My problem with the KH timeline isn't that it's hard to understand cuz I do understand it................(I hope?) The problem is that even when you understand it you only find out how overly convoluted and a lot of the times stupid it can be. Retcons all over the place,time travel,magical book that can predict the future,Xehanort's lofty motivation for reigniting the Keyblade War again,the dumb reason that caused the first Keyblade war to happen with the tools that are the foretellers and finally all the stuff with Ventus being a union leader and alive hundreds of years before BBS. And people think the Metal Gear and Zelda timelines are confusing
