Just watched an episode of The Dragon Prince. It looks great visually. The characters are already very likable and I'm loving the universe it is set in.

OH SHIZ! You're right. It would make total sense if this was Data Riku. Especially with Maleficent wanting to do I-don't-know-what with the journals and the datascape. Maybe people are not seeing it because they are focusing on the hair as a whole, but if you only look at the neck portion, the hair is the exact same. This picture shows it perfectly. EDIT: Wyatt Tyson, I misread your post, my bad lol. Changing my post now. They're definitely the bug blox from Re:Coded, it's hard to see in the trailer but the pattern on the cubes are the same.

I'm going to wait for it to come to release on DVD, don't feel like seeing this one in theaters.

I see it differently. Korra was born on a pedestal, she had no trouble mastering 3 of the four elements, she was constantly protected and probably had advantages as the avatar. In the beginning she uses her title as a way to justify every single thing she does. In her mind, she’s the Avatar and so what she chooses to do must be respected. But she fails to understand what it means to be the avatar and that is why she goes through so much pain and suffering. They break her over and over until s...

It gives a great character arc for Korra, but the supporting cast ultimately suffers from it. Giving depth to supporting characters was probably ATLA’s biggest strength and since Korra doesn’t do that, people seem to think it’s a failure, when in truth, it was never the creators intention to create character dynamics akin to that of ATLA. They wanted the focus on one person this time, not an ensemble. Anyway that’s how I see it.

I think Korra’s character arc is the best in the whole Avatar universe (yes, even better than Zuko’s, but that’s just my opinion) and the way it was used as the connecting thread of all 4 Korra books is genius. While Aang’s character arc was a part of the larger ATLA story, Korra’s arc IS the story (which is appropriate considering the series’ name) and so the way both tales are approached is completely different. I just think that it’s like comparing apple and oranges. Both are fruits, both are round but you can’t really say which is better. Korra and ATLA are set in the same universe sure, but they aren’t trying to achieve the same things and they approach things differently. I think Korra can only be fully appreciated when you see it as it’s own thing and not as Book 4 of ATLA.

It’s a shame The Legend Of Korra had to follow Avatar The Last Airbender. It’s a great show but no one will ever see that because they consider ATLA to be without flaws and are always comparing both shows.

Excited to learn more about "The Dragon Prince". Sounds like a very interesting project.

KHIII's final scene should be Sora and Kairi sharing a paopu while watching the sunset. Everything would come full circle and it would match the lyrics to "Chikai" perfectly. After all, sharing a paopu is kind of like taking an oath.

I am loving Utada's album! Anata, Hatsukoi and Ozora de Dakishimete is my fave. She did that! My only issue with the album is "Too proud". As much as I like the instrumental and the RnB vibes it has, it's a bit out of place and I'm not feeling Jevon's verse.

Actually, can't wait to hear Utada's album next week. Sounds great so far.

Yeah, "Don't Think Twice" feels like a natural evolution from her songs from Fantome vocally and musically. She'd already started using her lower register a lot on that album like on Sakura Nagashi and, although that album was more pop than R&B inspired, the music from the new album doesn't feel totally different.
