  1. Sweet! Congrats!! What games do you want for it?
  2. The queen offered her son a warm smile and a peck on the cheek, since her arms were full of presents and anything more would've proved troublesome. "Oh, I think I have it, my dear. Thank you." Shiva knelt before the tree, tucking presents where she thought there was a void of them, if such a space existed. The tree was practically overflowing with gifts. "How was your morning stroll? Is Bherna going to be joining us? I made her something special that I hope that she likes." By then the grand hall began filling with more guests. She smiled warmly at Helios. "Hello, Helios. I am so glad that you and your friends were able to make it. How was the trip?" She did not yet see the Tide Mother, though she hoped that her old friend was able to make it. She missed her dearly, and it had been much too long since their last encounter. The gentle voice of her retainer caught her attention, however, and she turned around on heel to find Eclaire standing behind her, as cute as a button in her Christmas dress. "Eclaire!" Shiva greeted warmly, not hesitating to wrap her arms around the catgirl in a hug. Shiva wore a fragrance of freesia and red plum, a scent which likely would be detected by Eclaire given her heightened senses. "Good morning! I love your dress. How are you, dear? I am glad that you like the tree. Many of these ornaments have been passed down through the generations of the royal family, most of which far older than me. It brings back a lot of memories." Some memories good, while others bad. A tear formed in the corner of Shiva's eye which she attempted to blink away. No, she refused to think of the bad. Not on that day. (I love Eclaire's outfit @Saber Lily) ------------ "Hello, everyone," Athena greeted timidly. She held her hands together in front of her, smiling shyly while taking note of the rest of the group. Everyth emerged from behind the princess, a few gifts stacked neatly in the crook of her arm which she delivered before the tree. The princess noticed Arthur and fled over to his side, interlocking his fingers in hers and giving him a warm smile. "Merry Christmas, Arthur. I never thought that we would be celebrating such a foreign holiday in a world other than our own, did you?" ------------ Elia noticed the gathering in the grand hall, though did not stop long to greet them. She was searching for a specific dreadnaught and kitsune, as she had made gifts for both and wanted to ask them of their favorite ribbon color. She hoped that the two would like what she presented them with. She checked a few rooms and bound into someone else, this person grasping her shoulders and causing her to glance up. Stern violet eyes met with Elia's, ebony waves cascading down her shoulders. "Elia, be careful and watch where you are going. Such recklessness is going to get someone hurt one of these days." Elia turned her gaze down to the ground, locking her fingers together as she squirmed uncomfortably. "Sorry, Sis. It's just, I'm so excited!" Ariana offered her sister a compassionate smile, closing the door behind her and wrapping an arm around her younger sister's shoulders. Her wings fluttered gently behind her. "I know. You've always loved Christmas." "It's not that. Everyone's here! We're together!" Ariana laughed. "Yes, that too. It is wonderful to see life in the halls of the palace this year, isn't it? What I like most is seeing everyone get along. It's a nice change of pace." Elia then remembered the purpose of her quest, turning her gaze up to her sister's with a look of bewilderment. "Have you seen Henry?" "Henry Hansees?" A frown furrowed Ariana's brow as she concentrated. "I don't believe I have, no. Why?" "Ah, well. I'll go find him then. See ya!" With that, Elia bounded away in search of her friends once more.
  3. The boom from the council room doors resounded throughout, causing a roll of wrapping paper to fall from the corner and roll out along the floor. Yevgeni glanced up as Jari came bounding in, the kitsune whose cheerful demeanor sent him seething for reasons unfathomable. "Merry Christmas," the elf muttered through gritted teeth, his tone conveying anything but. "To what do I owe the pleasure?" Jari, however, immediately enlightened him, explaining his dilemma with wrapping. Yev let out a defeated sigh, casting a sideways glance at the table still filled with unwrapped gifts. "You have come to the wrong elf, I'm afraid. While I boast my talent in many places, and have many strengths, gift-wrapping is not among them. This is one skill that I was never taught, but I am trying to make do." He gestured irritably toward the table, striding over to it as well, his white robes with golden accents billowing behind him as he rolled up his sleeves. "We'll start from the top," he said, removing his gloves and carefully setting them aside. His fingers were long and pallid, as though they never saw the light of day, fingernails short and trimmed meticulously. "You set out a roll, like so, and cover half your gift. Now tape it–" The blond elf was attempting to wrap a knitted cape, one which he had made himself for Nergal, without first putting the plushy, soft, cloth item in a box. This ended in a rather messy fashion, but he thought that his handiwork seemed fine. He secured a fancy red bow on the side, wrote Nergal's name in his best penmanship yet, and moved on. They went on in this vain for some time, Yevgeni wrapping a gift to demonstrate (or the very best that the elf could do, seeing as he did not know how to properly do it himself), and then encouraging Jari to give it a try. He did eye the bottle with curiosity before laughing under his breath. "Now, forgive me, but do tell: who are you giving that bottle to?" ----------- The elder fey wheezed as he came to a halt before Prince Jynn. He looked as though he'd ran a marathon, and gave the prince a look of bewilderment, as though he'd been purposely hiding from him. "Your Highness," he began, paying no mind to the sack or presents or noticing that Jynn might've been busy. "Your mother, the Queen, has requested that you prepare a speech to give your people at the Christmas Party. She says that it is of utmost importance, since you will one day be the one to guide these people to glory." ---------- Ren glanced over and waved as Raiden approached, offering his old friend a smile. "Greetings, Lord Raiden. It is wonderful to see you here! I was wondering if you would be attending the party." He looked the Mystran lord up and down and smirked. "So . . . what are you getting the queen? Anything extraordinary?" The redhead did not, thankfully, notice Odin or Ahriman, who seemed to be enjoying themselves. --------------- Elia was bouncing off the walls (quite literally) of the foyer, singing Christmas songs at the top of her lungs and hanging mistletoe in every corner that she thought needed it. She absolutely loved this time of year in Kilkis Seres, and this year was no exception. "I caaxaannnn't waiiiiiiiiit!" she cried, bounding into someone (insert your character here), apologizing profusely, and flying up the stairs, to check on the kitchens and to see if her help were needed. ---------------- Meanwhile, Queen Shiva looked as regal as ever, striding down the hall with presents protruding from her arms. Several threatened to fall, but she refused any help that was proffered to her. "Thank you, but I think I can handle a few gifts myself," she said with a half-laugh to whoever offered, before finally arriving before the Christmas tree in the grand hall. She looked up toward it and smiled. It was a lovely tree, with silver-blue garland shimmering under rainbow-colored bulbs, an elegant silver star propped at the top of the 14' tall tree. Ornaments of all kinds–most incredibly ancient–weighed down practically every branch. It was a magnificent sight, and always filled her heart with warmth whenever she saw it. "I wonder if it does the same for Eclaire," she thought idly to herself, realizing that she had not seen her retainer yet that day. Would she be attending?
  4. The former regent had himself locked in the council room, staring down a pile of presents that consumed practically the entire table which stretched along the expanse of the room. Rolls of wrapping paper rested in the corner of the room, and no gifts had yet been touched. Why did he leave wrapping to the very last minute? Why did he detest it so? And most of all . . . . "Whose idea was it to wrap presents anyway?" Yevgeni muttered irritably to himself, crumbling an attempted sheet and tossing it in the corner of the room. "And how does one wrap a triforce? This does not seem practical." It crossed his mind to ask someone to aid him, though it seemed like an unreasonable request, and seeing as most people despised him there didn't seem like many potential candidates to aid him. Reluctantly he plucked another piece, this time attempting to wrap a hand-knitted garment for Nergal. "They better be grateful." ---------- Meanwhile, Princess Athena considered her appearance in a mirror offered to her by Everyth. "You look lovely, milady," the mage said with a wide smile, smoothing down the princess' silky auburn locks that fell down her back. Athena wore a long dress of green velvet, formed to her elegant figure and pooling onto the floor behind her in a train. "You don't think it is too much?" Athena tilted her head. "Perhaps the red one would've been better–" It was certainly more modest, at the very least, though Everyth laughed and withdrew the mirror from the human princess' grasp. "Oh, you look splendid! Don't be silly. This one is far superior to the red one." The mage was dressed finely herself, in a low-cut black dress with criss-crossing straps on her back, narrow at the hips, and flaring out with a slit that came up to her knee. It was a look that Everyth could pull off well, but Athena? She did not think so. Regardless, both were now dressed to impress, and off they were to Queen Shiva's Christmas party, gifts in tow. ---------- Ren was fashionably late when it came to purchasing gifts. No, he was late. He knew that Christmas was coming, but he continuously procrastinated on making purchases and, even still, did not know what he wished to get his friends. Would Helios like a book, or jewelry? Perhaps a game consisting of fancy carvings and marbles? He could not decide, and now he was trying to decide at the very last minute. The redhead scurried out of the shop, seeming frazzled and confused, muttering something about suits and nobles as he took notice of Mariel. She looked rather different without her wings, but he recognized her all the same. "It would seem that we are in a similar position," he laughed, catching up with her. "Made some successful purchases, I hope? To whom are the gifts for? As for me"–he shook his bag of goods–"I did not go overboard this year. I mostly just bought something for Helios, Soren, Ariana, and Elia. Oh, and also Lord Raiden. I hope that they enjoy them."
  5. Alrightee, folks, the holiday special has been posted with some basic rules: The main point is to just be random and have fun. Feel free to insert new characters in as well, especially ones that have been referenced to in Overworld but have not made actual appearances as characters.
  6. This RP is a companion to the Overworld universe. The main RP can be seen here, and the sign-ups here. The main RP is in its closing stages and not accepting new players, though I am accepting guest characters to enter for this holiday special. If you are interesting in bringing a character, please visit the sign-ups and create a character sheet. : ) The rules for this Christmas special are as follows: 1) No controlling other people's characters 2) Keep things PG-13 3) Be respectful to the other players and their wishes 4) KH13 requires RP posts to consist of at least five lines to be a true RP post. While I am fine with a short post here and there, don't make it a habit of creating one-liners. I would like this thread to be RP-material to be kept in this section, but if we have too many short posts this thread will have to go into random. I'd rather this not happen, so let's try to stick close to five-line posts if possible, please. This RP is meant to be fun and a parody/spinoff to Overworld. It is not canon to the actual story and the characters are meant to be random/sometimes be OOC. Deceased characters have been revived, and both friends and foe will be dining at the same table without trying to kill one another. OP characters are fine. -------------- "Your Highness, are you certain?" A wizened old fey glanced at the queen over his spectacles, wrinkling his nose at the guest list. "This is a lot of people, and with our recent expenditures with the World Below and housing countless humans . . . ." "We will make it work," Queen Shiva interjected. "They are our guests, and it is Christmas. I want everyone together, and I would like everyone to have a good time." The elder man swallowed hard and nodded, his eyes widening at a name upon the list. "Why, you would even invite the black witch . . . !" At this the queen sighed and rose from her throne, her festive turquoise dress shimmering in the late sunlight cast from the nearby window. "That will be all. Please make the necessary preparations, and tell my son that he is to give a speech to his future people." "R-right, yes, yes, of course, Your Highness." And with that the man departed, buzzing off in search of Prince Jynn, the heir to the throne.
  7. This is a great opportunity! Good luck to all of those participating. I probably won't do anything extraordinary to try to make it to the top, but maybe I'll chime in more often than usual (outside of the RP'ing section ;)). Such posts aren't allowed and would be removed by a moderator, so they would not count.
  8. No problem at all, Scrap, and thanks for letting me know. I was actually thinking to ask the group if they would like to go on a two-week break over Christmas and New Years and resume thereafter, or if you guys would like to power through? I was also thinking to create a holiday special mini RP that involves Christmas in Kilkis Seres. It would be a companion RP with no additional sign-ups, where you essentially would bring your characters over and just have fun. Sort of think of it as an extras. All previously deceased characters would also be returning (yes @Saber Lily, even Shiva ). Would anyone be interested in something like this? We also would have the option of allowing guest characters (i.e. those from players who aren't in Overworld) to join us for the special, if the majority thinks this is a good idea. I'm also fine–and perhaps partial–with leaving this as a closed group with who we have.
  9. I really like Burning Sunset that @PrinceNoctis suggested. I think it would be incredibly fitting given 358/2 Days. I don't really think that they would use the term hellfire to abstain from religious references, but it is difficult to say.
  10. Kolm stared incredulously as Henry prepared the Serene Demon Blade. "Henry, don't be foolish!" Kolm shouted, his voice lost under the winds which he summoned forth. He had no choice but to take cover with the others, watching and praying to all of the gods he believed in. It relieved him to find that Henry was mostly unharmed, though the blood falling from his fingers didn't escape his notice. "How bad is it?" he asked, taking a tentative step forward, fingers reaching out for the bandage which concealed his arm. He hesitated for a moment. Should he offer it, and risk exposing the many scars and cuts along his flesh? Would they immediately recognize blood magic if they saw it, and were it punishable here like it was in his world, too? Thankfully the threat of having to expose himself diminished, when Lukkel stepped up to the plate and healed Henry instead–it would be even better than trying to stop the blood flow with his own bandage. The gates opened, granting the Haveners entry whilst also separating them from the safety of the wall. This was to be expected, though it did put Kolm at unease when noting the undead's sheer number against their small but mighty force. While Lucia, Ceres, and Galla did not hesitate in stepping forward, Kolm was partially more reserved, surveying the situation and discerning where his presence would be most needed. His eyes fell upon the lich, and as he watched her he started to realize that she was indeed Apremeia. It felt foolish to bolt up to her alone, first thing, before she was weakened by combat, and yet he found himself marching his way over to her. He stopped before the lich, stabbing his staff into the ground as his aqua eyes bore into hers. "You would be the one behind all of this, yes?" He stood up straight, though he were still not as tall as some of his companions. "Prepare to meet your match, Lich. Your reign of terror has come to and end!" He lifted his staff and flung out his arms, crystals from the water behind him rising in the form of icicles. He pointed his staff in Apremeia's direction, each one flying toward her and in target to embed themselves in her torso, closest to her heart. ---------------- Rhiannon's lips curved into a slight pout as Hektor spoke, an unconscious action on her part. "While I see where you're coming from," she interjected, "I disagree with it. It will be highly difficult to stop them at their source. They will just keep increasing in number before they threaten to consume us all. If we leave they may simply return home." None agreed with Rhi, however, and were in favor of staving off the Triffids. She let out a sigh and brandished her spear in front of her, getting in a battle stance as she eyed the annoying abominations. "All right. Let's get this over with. But if they overwhelm us don't say that I didn't warn you." With that the blonde darted forth, running toward a nearby tree and leaping up into it. She came down upon a Triffid from above, piercing it clean through before twirling her spear throw two others that tried to leap onto her. One of them bit her ankle, which did not please her in the slightest. She gave it a kick, throwing it off, though two others tried to tackle her in its place. (1 felled, also, I think I prefer the group to complete their mission sooner than later and return to The Haven. I fear it might get a bit too repetitive and drawn-out if we linger in the Elysian Forest much longer.)
  11. Yeah, no problem, it looks awesome. I just got into D&D with a group in person and love it! What class/race/background were you thinking?
  12. You've been far faster than me @Cam1949. I apologize for keeping people waiting on me amidst posts. I've been rather busy with the upcoming holidays and other commitments. I will try to post tomorrow, if I am able.
  13. Love the new avatar. Which character is it?
  14. –Vivi – Cornelia Castle– "Princess Sarah?" Vivi repeated, tilting his head. He had not heard of her before, though this was of no surprise to the black mage. Everything here was foreign, though it did surprise him that this man was so ready to place Luna–a foreigner–in the chambers of the princess who possessed these premises. "Is she no longer here? What is going on?" Thankfully Zest seemed to hold some answers, which did hold a fair amount of promise to the black mage. Once Luna was settled and he asked his questions, Vivi was ready to pipe up with a response. "My name is Vivi. I originally herald from Alexandria, a kingdom far from here. Do you belong to this castle?" Do you know why we're here? he wanted to ask, but instead he decided to patiently hold his tongue and listen to what Zest had to offer them. –Janus Zeal – North of Ultimecia's Castle – Every joint and bone in the youth's body protested in venturing down their path as fatigue wore in, yet he did not voice a single complaint. Instead he nodded complacently when Jaina suggested to continue plowing forth, shifting the pack on his back as he continued on ahead. He shot a quick glance over his shoulder to the sun, which should indeed have been setting but was not. It was curious, especially seeing as he had not noticed it until Jaina pointed it out. "It is almost as if time has ceased to move out here," Janus whispered hesitantly. They trudged on for a considerable length of time, the blue-haired youth eventually growing weary and stumbling over a tree's overgrown roots. He quickly got up, brushed his knees, and glanced over toward Jaina sheepish. "Do you think we're even getting anywhere? I feel like we have been walking for so long, and everything just looks the same to me." He did not realize that the trees were slowly thinning, revealing a rather different terrain up ahead of the duo.
  15. --Elia and Athena -- Behind the wall of ice-- The attack that Ahriman directed toward the wall of ice was menacing, and Elia watched with widened eyes as it rapidly approached. "Guys!" she cried out, struggling to lift her body off the ground under weakened knees. She trembled under own weight, too fatigued to make it away fast enough to do anything in time. Athena stood alongside Aura as she surrendered the lamp to Eclaire, watching the cat girl curiously. "I think . . . . I saw you, in the Kilkis Seres palace. You were the noble retainer, weren't you? I saw you speaking with the regent." The redhead turned to Aura and placed a hand on the girl's shoulder. "You have done the right thing. We must first survive this if we are to wish for anything at all. I trust that you will return the lamp once you are through, milady retainer?" Her gaze shifted over Eclaire's shoulder, eyes widening in horror as she watched Ahriman's attack approach. There was nothing that she, a mere human, could do to prevent being entirely decimated. She grabbed at Aura's upper arm and pointed "Watch out!" moments before the attack made impact with the wall. The princess braced herself for a world of hurt. --Yevgeni Malachite-- The blond stopped his strikes the moment that he heard Typhon's obnoxious voice and when he found his rapier meet with something other than Rabs. The elf stopped and frowned. "Bug, I saved you once. It would be a shame for me to take your life now." He did, however, see that he was trying to protect Rabiyu, to which he was grateful, yet he knew that the elf would have been capable of deflection his blows. His desire was to distract her, something he felt that he would've done successfully. It seemed that amidst Typhon's attempts Rabiyu started to come around, asking why they were not focusing on their enemy at hand. Yevgeni blinked several times. "Oh? And you would refer to yourself as one of our 'allies' now, hmm?" Regardless, Yevgeni offered her his hand to help her to standing. "Focusing on this 'god,' would be my pleasure, provided that you do not choose to stab us in the back first." The assault upon the wall, however, was among Yev's prime concerns as he saw Ahriman target the girls' "sanctuary," which was currently being shielded by Aqua's wind magic. Whether it would be enough to save their lives and consume Ahriman's attack, he wasn't sure, though it seemed that the wind forces would not be enough. He fled over and extended both palms, a shimmering rainbow of fluorescent pinks, violets, and aquas coating the wall like a fine layer of glass. It was a shield procured from holy light, which Yevgeni had to continuously focus upon to maintain its strength and radius. It would not hold to Ahriman's assault, though hopefully through piercing Aqua's wind and his shield, its damage upon the wall of ice would be much less severe, likely fracturing it to the point of breaking instead of an all-out deathblow. (I will allow either @Vaude or @Nero Kunivas, whichever posts next, to determine how this blast affects the ice wall after everyone's efforts to protect it) --Alderon Niles -- The Mad King Mariel took the opportunity to retreat, but this was fine, as Alderon's attention was arrested by the fey prince, whose voice was none other than one who rang out as quite familiar. The king took pause. "Sir Arthur," he spoke, his distraction lasting long enough for Arthynn to throw him into the wall. His back hit a column as he crumbled in front of it. A moan escaped his lips as he rubbed his head. "Sir Arthur," he repeated, lifting his head to look in Jynn's general direction. "I–I don't understand. Why does your voice project from this fey, the prince of the Overworld, and why do you raise your weapon against me? Surely I am not the one who you begrudge so vehemently? Do we not grieve for the worlds together and strive toward a brighter future?"
  16. I could not say this any better. We have already played as Riku and it would be a shame to get fans all hyped for another playable character when it only turns out to be Riku again. It would be nothing new. What I am hoping is that we get to play Sora, Riku, and Kairi's adventure, sort of like BBS with Ven, Terra, and Aqua, but I am somewhat doubting this to be the case. I'm going to say that we will get to play as Riku in addition to some other playable character, since I feel that this surely wasn't what Nomura was referring to. If it is, though, I will be rather disappointed, even though Riku is perhaps my favorite character in the entire franchise.
  17. Could you describe how you are unable to do so? Are the options just not there, or what happens when you go to respond? It might be a bug issue.
  18. It is unfortunate that the game has been leaked, but the mod team will do everything we can to ensure that all discussion of KH3 spoilers will remain in this sub-forum so as not to spoil the gaming experience for everyone anticipating it.
  19. So Pang and this lich had a history, and potentially a romantic one at that. That would indeed make things difficult for Pang, and Kolm already was feeling sorry for the Zouyou. He gripped his mace tighter in his hands, expression stony. So it seemed that those disappearing from Haven didn't merely vanish from existence, but instead became monsters or the like thereof? This did not seem like a very good result to Kolm, making him even more determined to ensure that he wasn't among those who "disappeared." "A fate almost worse than death, wouldn't you say?" Kolm uttered darkly, though did not press on. "Regardless, I will aid Pang in his pursuit of the lich. I . . . think he will need it." With that, the cold mage followed closely behind the tiger. He didn't doubt in his ability to do the right thing when the time came, though he did want to lend his aid, should it become strained if he had to finish business. After all, how could he really expect him to utterly end the life of the one he cared about? Having few people that he'd ever once cared for himself, Kolm could hardly relate, though he did have at least enough sense to understand that it would not be easy. He watched the situation unfold with the waves, and Pang inquiring as to who could lend a hand. "I may not be a water mage," Kolm responded, "but I can see what I can do about halting the water's progress." He rose his staff high, invoking an incantation as light-blue runes encircled the top of it. A bright light began to glow forth, spreading out from Kolm's body and projecting in the place where he pointed: the waves that threatened them all. (I don't know if it would be too OP for Kolm to freeze the water briefly, but that is what he is intending to do. I will let you @Vaude decide if it worked). ------------- Rhiannon looked astonished as the triffids failed to penetrate the barrier that Hektor cast upon the pair. "This is incredible," she murmured, bringing a hand to the gray bubble around her. "Will this spell last long? Will it drain you?" The gentleman suggested regrouping with the others, to which Rhiannon nodded in response. "That would seem like a good idea. Either way, this won't be a matter of a simple picking-through-the-forest-for-herbs any longer." The blonde took the initiative and strode back the way that she had come, long braid cascading over her back and brushing her silver suit of armor. "How did things go between you and the others?" she asked as they tread through the forest, keeping a wary eye on the path ahead and the triffids behind them. "Any success in finding anything?" The backs of Hogarth and Reksis loomed into view, their footsteps announcing their arrival. She was preparing to inform them that they had encountered triffids, but from the looks of things it seemed that the two men had already seen them firsthand. "We're not going to be able to keep them at bay," Rhiannon digressed. "What do you all say about heading back? We have some herbs at least, don't we?"
  20. --Vivi -- Cornelia – The black mage knelt alongside Luna as she cried out, confusion written all over his expressionless face. He rested a gloved hand on her shoulder. "Hey, are you alright, Luna?" he questioned. "Who is this Cosmos . . . and Chaos? I've never heard of them." He lifted his head to steal a quick glance at a staircase leading up to a hall above. "Why don't we find some place for Luna to rest?" He shot the question in the direction of Marle, hoping that the Guardia Princess would know what to do in this particular situation, as Vivi was rather clueless on how to properly console her. –Janus – North of Ultimecia's Castle– Janus shuddered at Jaina's touch. Empathy . . . . Something that he hadn't felt in so long, and something that he partially didn't know how to respond to. Was it dangerous to allow her in like this? Should he so willingly trust her? He bit his lip and nodded, gaze falling to the fireside. "I am very sorry," he said hoarsely. "It is terrible that humans have to be so selfish. I . . . hope that you find Johnny again. It sounds that you both need each other." The blue=haired mage shivered, though not from the cold. He hated to think of where he would return to when this was all over. The Mystics? He preferred not. Chances were that he would be alone. Again. At least he was growing partially used to it. Their meal of rabbit was devoured all too quickly, and, though it was considered impolite, Janus licked the remains of the rabbit grease off his fingers, not wanting any of the scarce meal to go to waste. HIs gaze shifted toward the sky. "Would you like to rest, or continue on?" he asked his companion. (I am not sure what time it is, so I don't know if I should suggest that they rest for the night yet or not.)
  21. Elia Cabret –The One-Winged Angel Fairy – "You're . . . so sweet, Prince Jynn," Elia croaked, white lips held in a slight smile. She was certain that this would be the end for her. While she could live with the loss of a wing, the blood loss was far more critical and problematic. It caught her by surprise, however, when the prince placed his armor on her. She felt a strange sensation course through her body and, while she could not say that she felt better, her mind became more clear. She noticed Henry's hand along her forehead, the dreadnaught towering over her with a look of concern. Relief coursed through her as he focused his energy to calm her, or was it his presence? She could not be certain which. "Henry," she said, voice soft. No other words could come to her as her hand searched for his, eventually gripping it once she found it. His hand felt so strong, so secure, especially when it was around her small, soft frail one. He soon left her side to return to the fight, but not before bestowing his healing upon her. The wounds had closed and already she felt considerably better. Weakened, but better. She would live, and that was a start. Elia eventually rose to sitting, glancing over to Alicia who had remained at her side while the men went off to fight. "You can go to him, if you want," Elia assured her. "I can hold my own . . . . I will be all right now, thanks to all of you." Yevgeni Malachite – Facing Rabs– The elf took note of Alastor's remark and greatly desired to retort, and likely would have if Rabiyu weren't ready to teach him his final lesson. She prepared her spell fast and expertly, leaving Yevgeni little time to react. Yev kicked off the ground and rose into the air, though mere avoidance likely was not going to be enough to abstain from critical damage. Thankfully he would not have to find out when she became frozen in place. Or so he thought. It was then that Rabiyu cried out that she would still do everything in her power to stop them, and began to gather energy once more. Yevgeni drew his rapier and brought it up vertically before him, the blade starting to glow as he ran two fingers along it. "Enough of your madness!" he cried, before letting out a shockwave of holy light magic in Rabiyu's direction. If that was not enough to deter her spell casting, he started to charge her, sword extended and ready to pierce her as he jabbed it rapidly in a flurry of strikes aiming for her torso. He did not want to harm her, though he came to the conclusion that if he did not stop her, she would ultimately end up destroying herself. Alderon Niles - VS Mariel - The angel's words made Alderon falter, even if they were difficult to discern. " . . . False?" The word felt odd as it rolled off his tongue and rang in his ears. What struck the king as odd is that he knew it to be true, and yet this truth angered him. His allies, meanwhile, were being thrashed by Ahriman, Jynn in particular being his favorite target. A fraction of him wanted to help, but a greater part of him did not particularly care. "How dare you defy His holiness!" Alderon roared, despite his heart yearning for him not to. Mariel struck him down at about that moment, sending Alderon crashing down on the hard surface. He brought a knee to his chest to give Mariel a hearty kick in the torso (think Ganondorf-style kick), before bounding to his feet and sheathing his claymore to retrieve his magical weapon, a sword possessing magical properties that had been bequeathed to him by Lord Raiden himself–before he'd gone mad. "I will teach you"–Alderon struck the ground, and lightning danced off his blade and flooded the ground, causing electricity to spring up in several places around the angel–"to be subservient to Lord Ahriman!"
  22. Hektor's sudden appearance made Rhiannon jump. In an instant Hektor would find the tip of Rhiannon's spear at his throat, expression fierce until she took note that it was him. Sheepishly she lowered her spear to the ground, cheeks flushed in embarrassment. "Hektor," she started. "Please don't sneak up on people like that. I could've pierced you before I managed to get a good look at you." Rhiannon shifted, gaze falling upon the bush as the triffids emerged. "Oh no," she murmured darkly under her breath. "This could get ugly very fast." The annoying little things proceeded to launch an attack at Hektor and Rhiannon, the latter spearing one clean through before glancing back over her shoulder. "They are dangerous in numbers," she explained to her companion. "We ought to retreat before they can consume us. What say you?" ----------- Kolm felt rather confused during the exchange between the chief of the Aquafolk and Pang. A frown furrowed his brow. "I am with you all the way," Kolm responded to Pang's request for assistance. "Though I am afraid that I did not fully follow the conversation. This woman . . . . She was like us previously, and you knew her? Will this, ah, complicate things for you to encounter her?" These words would perhaps be ill-received, and likely shouldn't have been spoken at all, but Kolm often said things in poor taste and did not know when to quell his tongue. (I am sorry for the shorter posts. I am quite tired but I wanted to get something in here since it had been a while.)
  23. --Janus -- North of Ultimecia's Tower-- The mage wolfed down his portion of rabbit while Jaina spoke, wiping the grease from his mouth with the back of his hand. "It seems that this Johnny individual means a great deal to you," he said, voice somber. "I am sure that he is concerned for your well-being. I wonder if he is out searching for you as we speak." At Jaina's question the youth leaned back to lie in the grass, folding his hands behind his head as he gazed up at the canopy of trees and the darkening sky. "My home world . . . . It is a little difficult to explain. The world that I grew up in was covered in ice, being locked in everlasting winter throughout the land. My home was upon a continent in the sky, with waterfalls and greenery everywhere. It was beautiful." A sigh escaped his lips as he thought back to his home. Home. Schala. How he missed them dearly. Janus turned his face away from Jaina to conceal his tears. He didn't elaborate on the fact that he hadn't arrived here from his home, nor that he hadn't seen his home in well over a year. (Since Vivi is interacting with Luna I am not sure how to proceed without Twilight Roxas)
  24. Elia Cabret The fairy remained limp in Jynn's arms, her eyelids parting slightly to take in the prince's visage. Her pallid lips curved up into a smile. "It's okay," she murmured weakly, bringing up a hand to Jynn's cheek. "Prince Jynn, you must live. Kilkis Seres needs you, as do the remaining humans. What would happen if you were to die? You must . . . lead the people. All I wanted was to help–" The effort of talking was becoming too much for her. The throbbing within her back intensified, causing her face to scrunch up in pain. She was not dead, though blood began to soak through her white mage's robes and onto the prince. Yevgeni Malachite The elf's eyes narrowed at Rabs' words. "No, while I will not pretend to know what has remained in your heart, I knew you. This"–he gestured a hand toward Ahriman, toward the destruction–"is not you. The Lady Eliltari of the North, the fair and noble Judge, would not desire such destruction and the demise of life. I . . . " At this Yevgeni faltered, emerald eyes shifting nervously away from his fellow elf. "I will admit that I do not know every desire, every facet of your being. Admittedly, I do not even know you as well as I wish that I did. But I know that you want what is best, and deep down you know that this is not it!" Yevgeni laughed at the mention of his precious apprentice, his gaze temporarily flickering over toward Aqua. "Neither her nor you could destroy me even if you wished it. It is with a heavy heart that I will have to fight you, but I will do what I must. It is what you would truly want, Eli." Alderon Niles The fist met Alderon's gut with considerable force, knocking the wind out of the human king and sending him reeling. He stumbled back, jabbing his claymore into the stone as he gasped for breath. Several ribs were broken from the impact, though he gritted his teeth and ignored the pain. "Why do you fight for humanity anyway?" he asked the ex-Guardian Angel. "After all, we have committed so many atrocities to your fellow angels and inflicted so much harm. The chances that this will occur again in history? About nine out of ten, and yet you would defy the god standing before you to preserve us? How pitiful!" Lysander's work continued to twist the king's mind. While a part of him yearned, screamed for him to change his course, he could not break himself free of its charm. He struck his sword into the ground, its electrical properties cascading through the granite and creating a fissure. Raw lightning licked through the new crevice and danced toward Mariel. While she was hopefully distracted, Alderon came charging again, this time intending to cleave the angel in two from a stroke above her head.
