    You could say the same about Metroid; they just have more of a western appeal to them, likely because both of them are based on genres that are popular over here (along with being inspired by stuff like Tolkien's works and the Alien film franchise in the first place). We love our action-intensive space / high fantasy games.

    Sounds kinda like the based Pachirisu story from this year's VGC. lolSpeaking of "horrible" characters though, I really think the roster in smash bros 4 is the most balanced one yet. Whenever the tiers list comes out, I have a feeling it'll be based more on usage than just separating the characters you should bother with from the ones that truly do suck. This one feels like more of a case where people just need to git gud rather than complain about the widespread useage of Little Mac online.

    So apparently some people were able to make a dump of the demo with text strings like location names and the base stats for the new mega evolutions / primal reversions. You can find the link in the spoiler tag below, but obviously there's a major spoiler alert. Don't say I didn't warn you!

    Sorry, I should have rephrased that first part. I meant why would you waste your "1 mega evolution per battle" on something like Steelix, I didn't mean to imply I was salty over the new mega evolution decisions in general (I still think they're a terrible gimmick, but I digress).The thing about Steelix is that he has shit like Curse, Gyro Ball, and Dragon Tail and shit to play with. Sure he wouldn't be used as a sweeper, but as a physical wall that can do a Stealth Rock revolving door and can take a couple of super effective hits like nothing, he sure as hell has been working for me.

    Yeah but his Defense stat is literally the highest bar Shuckle and M-Aggron; you wouldn't use him as a special wall like you wouldn't use Blissey as a physical attacker. Steelix already has a role he performs beautifully in so what's the point in wasting a mega slot on him?

    "More diverse encounters, so more like XY variety" That honestly worries me a little. One thing I really hated about XY was that there were way too many different Pokemon species to catch on routes, like on some of them you could expect like 10 different species to pop out, and none of the routes shared catchable pokemon.

    I finally found copies of the GBA ports of FFV and VI out in the wild, so I'm gonna finally get to experience those games without the assistance of emulators.

    It's pretty decent for an open-world sandbox GTA clone. It's probably the best out of the True Crime games, so if you like GTA you'd probably like it too.

    They're releasing both of them around that time in time for the Black Friday / gift giving season, so I really don't think it's much of a problem. Sure some sales might be affected, but as long as it keeps selling over a period of time it won't really matter in the long run since the people who want both will eventually get both anyway.

    I'm having a lot of issues getting wifi friend matches to work, but I'd be down for a tournament, though I probably can't be in the first one until I get these issues figured out.

    Every Metroid and Castlevania game is pretty short if you know what you're doing, so you could probably beat any of those within a day easily.

    I'm assuming it's because of both the heavy customization options along with Nintendo not trusting players to not use offensive Miis while online.
