If you think that somehow her parents are somehow overstepping their bounds, then you should tell someone. You said her dad was on a rampage - that does not sound good. It seems to me that there might be some kind of abuse of power going on. Of course I could be wrong and it could be nothing like that, but the red flags are there. Try talking to an adult about this if you think something is going on.

I don’t see it as a retcon because this information doesn’t change anything that happened in KHI. Some guy named Ansem was going around turning worlds to darkness. None of this was affected by the fact that this guy’s name wasn’t really Ansem. It was something Sora thought at the time, so it makes sense that we would think that too. Therefore, it’s a plot twist.
