  1. [Above Destiny Islands: Aboard the Overwatch] The weapons and defense consoles were blaring various alarms as the ship and Four were fully engaged with defensive duties. The weapons were continually being recharged with his light; the Guardian had plenty to spare thanks to the rest he had before being thrown back into a battle. From Gaku and Harmony's perspective, light bolts of various sizes and densities seemed to rain from the circling gummi ship and onto the enemies both on the island and around the boat. The screaming bolt of light from the howitzer was mortifying to say the least, and the devastation that it made on the enemies Four pointed out was even more gruesome. Closer to the boat and Jake, Four switched to the autocannons and rotary cannons and started blasting away any adversaries that got too close. The weapons had a higher rate of fire, were more accurate, and the bolts were smaller and slightly slower; perfect for the 'danger close' situation that was presenting itself to everyone below. As Jake finally boarded the boat that the others were on, he switched back to the howitzer and aimed at whatever threat was closest to where Jake was. Half needing to sanitize the immediate area near them of enemies, and half wanting to drive the point home that they should no longer be lollygagging, the people below would hear the dreaded shriek of the howitzer bolt quickly approaching before having it impact a little too close for comfort. Frustrated that this evacuation was not going as smoothly as it should be, Four's attention shifted when an alert caught his attention. The aircraft's sensors had picked up a new target, and he was quick to view the optics on one of the side weaponry. The howitzer opposite of the boat has spotted Gaku and Harmony approaching the island, and the crosshairs were trained a little in front of their path to compensate for the travel time needed for a direct hit. Unsure of what the targets were, Four zoomed in and was able to see Gaku and Harmony's face more clearly. Subjects identified. They're people. Intentions unknown. Following protocols, Four broke off from his defensive circling of the boat to try and warn the two strangers not to approach. As the Overwatch approached the two strangers running on the chains, Four commanded the ship to hover as he switched the active armament to the forward facing dual railguns. The aircraft was eager to respond as the nose tilted up slightly and the engines roared to counter the forward movement. The ship finally hovered a few hundred meters in front of Gaku and a few meters above the chains, with the newly selected weapons trained on the two individuals. Reaching for a nearby holographic button, he finally addressed the strangers. "Attention!" The aircraft's loudspeaker boomed over the noise of the engines, "You are approaching an active battleground. Turn around immediately." He awaited for their response, hoping that the two strangers would heed his warning and head the other direction. If any of them decided to attack, he wasn't going to hesitate using ship-grade armaments against some strangers. Civilians don't run towards a fight. Maybe they're something else... (It looks like this by the way...)
  2. Tempted to think that Hillary is trying to cover up something
  3. I solved your problem with an appropriate solution! Happy trails
  4. [Destiny Islands: Beachhead] Just as Four expected, ZaZick nullified the attack as he noticed a glint out of the corner of his eyes; his own projectiles coming right back at him. He wasn't too worried about it though; this was one of the very few times that Four was thankful for the only advantage of having unguided bolts. Despite Zion being a notable friend of his, seeing her pulled away and knocked out by Sasuke didn't elicit any sort of response from the Guardian. The restraining lens was doing a superb job, and upon seeing Sasuke evacuating the place, Four dashed back towards his gummi ship. Behind him, the bolts that he fired earlier impacted the sands where he used to stand, peppering the place with fist sized craters. "We're leaving!" "Come on guys! We need to go, NOW!" "Here!" "Continue your retreat." "You guys take the boat without me! I'll take my own path!" The last remark caught Four's attention. Is it that simple for him? Not wanting to be the first casualty, Four punched his forearm mounted tactical pad, and the screen glowed red. His gummi ship ahead of him suddenly roared into life, and the ship started to rise off the sands of the beach. It tilted along its longitudinal axis [nose to tail] so that the wingtip closest to the guard was the lowest. Four ran towards the ship, and hopped on the flight surface of the ship. Sensing its master technically onboard, albeit on the exterior, the ship leveled off and started ascending towards the sky. The Guard was quick to run towards the cockpit section of the ship, where he knew an exterior access hatch that was designed to be use for moments exactly like this. Thankful for the over-engineering of the aircraft, it wasn't long before Four fell into the captain's seat from above, and gripped the controls once again as the hatch locked itself shut from above. A couple of taps on the nearby weapons console was all it took for the ship to become armed, and the bottom mid-fuselage port and starboard section of the ship opened up to reveal its lethal cargo. On each side was a rotary cannon, an autocannon, and Four's personal favorite: a howitzer. He gripped the joystick tightly, and immediately the weapons started to charge. He looked outside the glass windows of the cockpit and confirmed the location of the departing boat and Jake. Seeing that Jake might need some help, he commanded the side howitzer closest to Jake to open fire on the remaining enemies. For Jake, a sound could be heard from above, intending to eliminate the enemies that were preventing him from escaping. Deciding to now shift his attention to the boat, Four yanked hard on the controls. The metal dragon snarled as the engines struggled to keep up with the commands; the body of the aircraft was holding up surprisingly well despite being submerged for years. Seeing the boat, Four maneuvered the craft into a defensive circle high above the boat, and was finally pulling the aircraft's main role and namesake: Overwatch. Any enemies that dared enter the zone of his weapons were greeted with an appropriate and accurate weapon system to counter the threat. From a well placed railcannon round to light missiles, The Overwatch was more than eager to show its fangs as Four continued his diligent protection of the seemingly exposed boat.
  5. [Aboard the Dawn] Rei's passionate response to Saki was just disruptive enough to stir Luna back from the realm of dreamland. Oddly enough for her though, she didn't feel tired at all; as if the overwhelming feeling of needing a nap was more of a formality rather than a requirement for her recovery. That's weird. Was this what my instructor called 'battle fatigue?' Maybe he was right after all... Just a minute or two and it's all gone. Deciding that it would be best to know more about the students that she will be fighting alongside with, the timid healer quickly rolled off the bed and finally started making her way out. Before she reached the door however, it suddenly hit her that the room that she was in was exactly like her room back at the base where she was training at before transferring to the academy. The novelty of her surroundings caused Luna to panic. "W-w-was it all a dream?!" she cried out as she quickly changed direction, diving into the nearby closet first in an odd attempt to verify if all this was real. Sure enough, her standard issued clothes along with her personal outfits were there, along with her very personal bra collection in the usual pile in one of the drawers. Her left eye twitched; she was certain that everything that had happened at the academy was real, and in a last ditch attempt to confirm that where she was in was just a replica, accessed a super secretive place that only she knew among one of the drawers. Rummaging around in it, she breathed a huge sigh of relief; a certain item in question was in fact missing, confirming her hunch that this room she was in was a replica. What the object in question was is something that Luna doesn't want any of the players to know, so we will just have to leave it at that... Relieved that everything that had happened to her wasn't some dream, Luna finally made her way out of the room, still wrapped snugly in her newfound blanket. The doors opened, and she was greeted with the sight of the interior of Zion's ship. "Thank goodness..." she whispered to herself, and quickly shuffled into the gym where the other students were gathered. Some were inside, fighting virtual heartless enemies, while others just watched. She wasn't sure how to break the ice with the other students now that she had arrived, and quickly found the whole ordeal awkward. Her efforts weren't for naught however, as she managed to watch Harmony and Gaku fight, noting their individual styles.
  6. Sasuke is carrying Zion? That'll make my post easier to type out then
  7. [Destiny Islands: Beachhead] "WAFFLES YOU'RE ALIVE! WHERE LULU?!" Despite the restraining lens, Four actually felt a modicum of sadness when he heard Zion call him by that name. He hadn't heard it in a long time for starters, but that name in particular was off-limits for others to use except by the person who gave it to him in the first place: his formerly assigned princess, Kairi. It was wrong of him to respond to anyone else using that name, but he knew Zion thanks to other ties, and thus only barely tolerated her calling him by that name. You have no authorization to use that name, and now the others might be tempted to use it... Before he could correct her however, Zion greeted him with the usual enthusiasm that he had come to expect, and the guard just rolled with it as he braced and took the hit full force, knocking the wind out of him with a solid "oomph!" as he miraculously managed to stay upright. "Waffles! I'm glad to see a friend..." It took a moment for the guard to process what she just said, no thanks to the somewhat mild concussion that he may possibly have now. "Likewise." was his response, somewhat softer than expected. He was taught by Kairi long ago to return the gesture if someone did hug him, but the sound of something approaching by the sea caught his attention instead as he looked over to see what or who it was. "I must be late... My bad." The newcomer grumbled. "You're actually on time." Four corrected. "I'm Violet Alexandria Hart, my girlfriend here is Kya." Four noted the girls and their names, completely glossing over their relationship. The sudden change in weather caught Four's attention; it obviously wasn't a natural phenomenon. The winds blew hard, but Four was quick to respond as he braced himself against the wind, shielding his eyes as he waited for the the sudden gust to pass. "You're the ones who accepted my challenge?" Four glanced up at the source of the sound and was underwhelmed at the sight. "This? Two stupid girls, the last Uchiha, a washed out Goddess, pathetic looking boys, and a single Nocturnal Guard? You're all pathetic." The remark about himself caused Four to raise an eyebrow. More than two Guardians in one place is usually considered 'a gross misapplication of valuable resources. More importantly however, how does he know my affiliation? Or the Corps for that matter? Since the floating man was not actively attacking nor being a threat to him, Four had no choice but to listen further as the others offered their quips and replies. "Second Seal of the Goddess: Dawn's Gospel." Four heard Zion remark, "First Form: Dawnguard. Washed up...no, you just believe you can win. Well you can't. This is my realm, my charge, and all will be right. You picked the wrong fight." "Oh please. I haven't even introduced myself yet... My name is ZaZick. Why must we fight? I see nothing wrong with my actions. The worlds started out together, correct? I brought them back to that. The universe was born from Chaos. I have brought that. How are my actions wrong?" "And what makes you think things were bad before?! Everything was fine until your dumb posterior showed up!" Jake cried out. "You know, you keep calling yourself a "God", yet you've called us to challenge you. Why?" the one named Seth asked. "Have you ever stood back and THOUGHT about what you're doing?!" Jake continued. "When the worlds were together, they were still whole, when they split after the Keyblade War, the worlds were still whole. Now after what you did, they are in a jumbled mess, torn apart, DESTROYED! What did you think you would GAIN, you creature?!" "Oh calm down, all of you. If I had wanted to kill you all now, I would have done so. Killing all of you, as you are now will bring me no satisfaction." Four would have felt offended at the remark, but thanks to his restraining lens, felt absolutely nothing as ZaZick continued. "I have a dream. My challenge was for others to have just the tiniest chance to achieve their dream. You go on a journey, you fight, and best my followers, prove yourselves worthy, you can have anything you want. Regardless, my dream does not stop now that I have combined every world... I seek to combine the realms of Light, and Dark... The realms of Sleep, and the Realm of Nothingness with our world... Everything together, as it should be. The first of my followers waits for you at the Crystal Tower that holds the world of Cocoon from falling to Gran Pulse. Zion, your friend Lightning should know all about that." It was only because of the Guardian Doctrine's Rules of Engagement that stopped Four from actively shooting the guy as he talked the entire time, which was sad. If I shoot him here, I could end this right here and now. maybe go back to sleep and wait for my service life to expire. Or practice cooking. I haven't cooked anything in a while. I wonder if I got that fire alarm replaced in my ship? The horde of nobodies and heartless that were summoned by Zazick was all the excuse that Four needed to finally let himself go. "Non-lethal restrictions, cancelled." he calmly remarked as he reached for his dual sub-rifles and charged them with light with a simple flick of the wrist. With Zazick still in the area and the others really taking care of the enemy horde, Four shifted his eyes so he was looking between a nearby nobody and Zazick. Raising his arms, they naturally brought the weapons onto target. Squeezing the trigger of both weapons, a focused stream of light bolts screamed towards both the nearby nobody and ZaZick above. It was guaranteed that the nobody would be eviscerated, but with ZaZick, Four had a hunch it wouldn't be as easy. He awaited the results out of the corner of his eyes, fully anticipating a null attempt.

  9. Basically: if you want someone who can steamroll Xehanort with ease, they have to have a really crippling weakness that anyone can exploit. Like extreme weakness to magic, water, fuzzy things, shiny things, etc.
  10. [Destiny Islands, Beachhead] The gummi ship landed, and Four was quick to idle it down to standby status as he promptly removed his armored butt from the captain's seat. Making his way out of the cockpit, he was quick to grab his trusted secondary weapons from the storage locker nearby. They were right where he left them all those years ago, still in pristine condition thanks to maintenance and secured them on the holsters that were on each side of his legs. Knowing full well that security measures will prevent anyone from commandeering his ship, as the boarding ramp lowered onto the sands of the beach, Four disembarked the gummi ship. The humid, aromatic smell of the beach assaulted his senses, and Four would have been hit with a huge sense of nostalgia if it weren't for his restraining lens getting in the way of that. To him, this place was sacred grounds, and to have anyone other than Sora, Riku, or Kairi walk upon it without him knowing about it first felt borderline treasonous. His eyes snapped towards multiple figures that weren't too far from him: Others who had apparently gotten the message. Not wanting to be caught off guard so soon however, Four carefully approached the group of people that had gathered; somewhat cautiously, but otherwise casually. "Anyway, I'd be glad to call you a friend Zion. Maybe more in some ways?" The name was familiar to him, and looking at the person in question, his suspicions were confirmed. Identified. It's her. He wasn't sure what to make of seeing Zion; it had been years, so who knows how much had changed? "We shouldn't just stand around and act casually like this we all came for something important right?" Someone else stated. Four glanced over towards the person as they continued, "And if we don't have an idea of who we all are and what we can do in terms of fighting we'll all be going in and not working as a team properly. So with that in mind I suggest we casually spar a bit perhaps? And also give each other our names at least. I'm Sasuke. Sasuke Uchiha. I come from a place called Konoha we just referred to it as the Ninja or Shinobi World and I think I know exactly why now." Four nodded at the introduction. "Zero-Four. And I came from there." He pointed out towards the sea where he was taking his watery slumber. "I'll pass on fighting though. I'd rather observe, for now." He glanced at the other people who were at the beach, wondering if they would reciprocate the introduction.
  11. [Approximately 500m below the water surface, Destiny Islands] The internal lights of Four’s gummi ship flickered into life as an alarm quietly echoed within the stopga room. The pod which housed the dormant Guardian hushed open, revealing its precious cargo inside. Four woke up and yawned, then checked the watch on his wrist. Only 9 hours had passed since he went to sleep in the pod, but he knew that the outside world had aged a lot faster than that. He stretched, slipped on his standard issued pink bunny-eared slippers, then groggily worked his way towards the cockpit. The air was stale and cold inside the ship, no doubt thanks to the ocean that was surrounding it. Wanting to see if it was just as cold as he thought it was, he exhaled through his mouth and sure enough, was able to see a faint white smoke escape his lips. Not wanting to think too much about it, he shifted his attention to the cockpit as the door leading to it slid open. The rather large glass canopy only showed a pitch black surrounding, with the sounds of a school of fishes swimming somewhere nearby. On the console in front of the captain's seat, a monitor was flashing red and the words "Urgent Message" flickering in a contrasting yellow. Knowing all too well what this would mean, the Guardian pressed and held a button nearby for a few seconds. In an instant, the dark cockpit flashed into life as a dazzling array of hypnotic holo-gauges and output bars flickered into life on the walls and consoles that filled the place. The cockpit began to hum as the engines turned to begin its startup sequence, and Four tapped the screen to see just what the message was. After reading the message, a warm and fuzzy feeling as well as a smile formed on the Guardian's face. "I hope I can see you again too, Luna." he quietly whispered as if someone might hear him, "It's been too long." The clock on one of the ship's consoles made his smile disappear; several years had passed while he was 'away.' Knowing what was to be expected, Four slowly reached for his restraining lens nearby and stopped just short of securing it over his left eye: After this and breaking the surface, it was gonna be anything but silent and tranquil as what it is right now. Appreciating this moment, he took one slow, deep breath of the reassuring atmosphere before finally securing the device on his face. The warm feelings from before quickly died off, replaced with the monotony of apathy and a laser-like focus. "Zero-Four. Online." A quick slap to his shoulder was all it took for Four's keyblade armor to materialize. After stretching a bit to become re-acclimatized with it, he promptly sat on the captain's seat and gripped the controls after checking to see if all systems were normal. "All systems nominal." he remarked to himself as the metal dragon awaited for its master to command it once again. Four obliged, and maneuvered the controls to bring the ship up from the bottom of the ocean to take to the skies once more. The engines hummed into life, and the ship started its ascent, shaking off the sediment that had settled on top of it from the years of laying dormant on the sea floor. The waters outside the canopy quickly turned from pitch black to violet, then dark blue, then to light blue as the ship got closer to the surface. The next instant, the ship finally breached the surface... From the view of Destiny Islands onto the distant horizon, a shiny white dot glimmered for a split second just above the pristine blue sea before it seemed to launch itself into the wide blue skies, trailing a thin cloud of white as it did like a missile. Within the cockpit, Four was quick to reassess the systems of his ship and was satisfied with its condition. Knowing he was back in the fight, the Guardian quickly shifted his sight onto the Island below, and started making his way there. As the gummi ship got closer, it became apparent to him that there were people already there. Given the nature of his new mission and the fact he is no longer assigned to a princess, he decided to forego the mantra of stealth and brought the ship to land on the beachhead where the destiny trio used to play and spend their days on...
