It is really rare but i can happen, not in the first playtrough of course but let's say...if i lose against a boss several times i would skip the cutscene before or when i am recording to save some time in the video (also just when i lose against a boss several times but it only happened one time actually). However usually I don't like skipping any cutscenes.

Well the best prank i saw today was one of my favorite cover singers posted a video that she will be the first Vocaloid of my country...well i got it the first second i saw the video but it is pretty hilarious, she also made a full design and a Demo with a voicebank . Oh and there was PokéMaps if u know what i mean

Well, i can't say what the best solution would be for you because it can differ a bit from the Pc you have. I can just say what i use on my own channel on Youtube, maybe this helps. :)I use an Aver H727 Capture Card, which is build into my computer (you need a PCI slot for this) to connect my PS3 via HDMI and Fraps for the screen recording but you may have to render it with programs as well. I can record on 720p (but i render in Original) and it would also work with older consoles, if you have the right cables. If you can't put the capture card into you PC i would suggest what Sora said but i think the Elgato is a bit more expensive.Edit to the other comment: the Hauppauge is also very good, i know several people that are using this device but i forgot about it .
