  1. i know which ones i WOULDN'T want to return. Invisibles, Wizards, or Angel Stars right off the bat. all 3 enemies commit the horrible video game sin of being enemies that have extended periods of invulnerability that the player must wait out while in no real harm. maybe in the KH3 combat engine they'd prove to be more enjoyable to fight but in KH1 they were such a chore.
  2. i agree. it'd be nice if they at least incorporated the villain's themes into the boss theme somehow. it can lend itself really well to establishing the tone of a boss fight. the Rinzler fight in DDD was done very well and it was helped because it had an original boss theme that gave the fight a tense feeling and an air of desperation. more original boss fight themes would be welcomed.
  3. well that depends does this person have an uncle that works for Square Enix
  4. that Coded was going to be about Sora's father. that was really the only rumor i heard. i know there was a rumor that the KH2FM secret ending showed the future, and Sora, Riku and Mickey were dead/gone because their keyblades were shoved into the ground and were dirty looking. or that Terra was an older Sora. lol i remember watching one theory video suggesting Terra was actually Xemnas. then i played BBS and started to realize that the video was right and i had spoiled myself.
  5. i was under the impression that Mickey recognized Xemnas as Ansem's apprentice, since they share similar features. don't Nobodies typically look identical to their original selves, save for a few (sometimes laughable) differences? xemnas looks similar enough to his original self to where Mickey might recognize him.
  6. lol might as well get the obvious ones out of the way, eh? i think KH2 had some amusing moments, like in the Underworld after fighting Cerberus, as the door closes, Sora, Donald and Goofy turn back and make faces at him. idk it just came off as so silly to me, but in a good way. it was endearing, i guess. another one is in The Land of Dragons when Sora gets straight up decked in the face. love the exchange that follows. Sora: "Hey whose side are you on? I just got slugged!" Yao: "Want some more?"
  7. he's a part of Ventus again. he doesn't exist anymore. at the end of BBS, Ven fought him and won. he faded away into gold sprinkles and merged back into Ventus' heart.
  8. yea i'm pretty sure that now he's back to being a normal person with a heart made up of light and darkness. but how much do you want to bet that he'll still act like he did in BBS when he had a heart of just pure light?
  9. i don't think we need to learn their backstories, but they just need to be developed better as characters and not just objects that act a certain way so the plot can continue.
  10. it'd be cool if the KH3 cover art had some callbacks to the original KH cover art. maybe have characters in similar poses on a cliff side in the Keyblade graveyard, have it set at dawn with the light of the sun coming up over the horizon cast over everyone, maybe sneak in some foreshadowing by having someone remain untouched by the rays of light.... that'd be neat.
  11. i don't really see much of point in implementing VR into a third person game. or into any game, for that matter yuk yuk it wouldn't really add anything to the experience, imo.
  12. meh you can find a pattern in most things through the power of hindsight. i don't doubt that we'll get some kind of KH3 news in 2017, especially after 2.8 releases, but i'll just be keeping my expectations low.
  13. glad that a demo is coming out. i was interested in this game because the combat was compared to FFX and the art style makes me think of what KH would look like on current gen hardware (ignoring what we're already getting in 0.2 and KH3, i mean). saw some footage and the dialogue sounds cringey as hell though. it was painful. i'm holding out hope that the gameplay will be enough to carry my interest if i ever decide to play the full game.
  14. i'm pretty sure explaining the events of KH2 without Xion would be fairly easy. it's one of the things that just highlights how pointless of a game Days was. before i played Days, i assumed Roxas left because he realized he was being used and felt that going to Sora would give him some answers. as for why it took Namine a year to fix Sora's memories...well i assumed that doing so just took a lot of time. i mean naturally it would be a shorter process to take them apart and mess them up. Putting them back together in order seems like a delicate procedure. it's not exactly crazy to suggest it took her a year. if anything that added some weight to the scenario. she did enough damage to put Sora out of commission for a year. Days claims that Xion was basically intercepting the memories as Namine tried to fix them, which isn't the worst excuse. it's just a pointless one because, like i said, you can easily explain the events that led to KH2 without needing an entirely new character to set those events into motion. lots of the problems you might think would come from Xion never existing only exist because she was written to seem like a more important character than she really is. if you remove 358/2 Days from the series, i'm fairly certain nothing of importance is lost.
  15. technically he's from the past because he's just Roxas' character model from KH2. bam seriously though, yea i could see the Realm of Darkness being used as an excuse here. the "time moves differently here" explanation could easily hand-wave the huge jump forward in time from X to BBS.
  16. i hope a big rock falls and crushes 12 of the darknesses. or maybe a plot twist. because they all have a piece of Xehanort's heart in them, they all share one HP bar and so after the first fight, it turns out all the other Darknesses just keel over and die. problem solved.
  17. finally. true online Flick Rush. the multiplayer KH experience we all deserved. nah not really, when you consider how the KH series has typically been more of a single player experience. i wouldn't say they're behind for not having implemented an actual online mode in the past. some games just don't need to have a multiplayer component tacked on for no good reason. it takes away resources from other areas like the single player mode, which is the entire focus of a KH game. finally. true online Flick Rush. the multiplayer KH experience we all deserved.
  18. as much as i'm upset about this, it's probably for the best. pitting Gravity Rush 2 up against FFXV and The Last Guardian would not have been a good idea. the game would have gotten wrecked. at least now it's got more of a chance to sell well. at least we're getting the story DLC for free now.
  19. i remember giving the demo a try on the App store. it was the entire first case and i had a blast playing through it. bought the first game on iOS but never completed the last case. been meaning to give the series another shot on DS since i really did enjoy the game for what i played of it.
  20. funny how their appearance in a new mainline FF game was such an uncertainty. i mean you'd think having Moogles in FF were just a given.
  21. can't believe they released the E3 footage looking like that. i mean yikes. i guess thats what happens when the loudest part of your fanbase relentlessly badgers you about not putting out a new trailer. they want a trailer? "well they'll get a trailer, even it it's unfinished." also is it just me or is the dialogue for Aqua a bit....off? something about the lines just hit me as "That doesn't sound quite right." idk this is the first time i'm actually seeing the E3 gameplay footage so i never realized how strange her lines were. now i've got the horrible feeling that 0.2 will just be Aqua waxing poetic through the Realm of Darkness for an hour.
  22. wow that's pretty great. nice that they're being made available to more people. i'll probably skip out on this because i'm planning on getting the second one for Vita soon. the Danganronpa games are really good as portable experiences, especially for long trips imo. cool little bundle though
  23. i expect him or his mouse head symbol to appear on a page of the Tomb of Prophecy. anything else would probably be a bit of a stretch.
  24. tbh, after i first completed KH2 i don't think i was saying "Oh boy I can't wait for KH3!" at the time, i had no real concerns with the future of the series. then soon after i stumbled upon the news that Nomura had confirmed 3 new KH games (Days, BBS and Coded). i guess maybe around the time BBS came into the spotlight is when i started to think more about KH3. i wouldn't say i've been waiting for a decade because KH3 only became relevant to me sometime in 2010, i guess. and even then it was only until we got that first teaser trailer in 2013 that KH3 became something more than just a concept. that trailer was proof that "Yes, KH3 is actually happening." the wait hasn't been terrible because i've played other games to occupy my time.
