1. I never found the real life video game characters necessary. They were great to get gamers in the seats, but in the actual film none of them did anything that served the plot. (Except Q-bert and Tapper, but I can see them working around that.) 2. They could be forced into it in a similar way to Space Paranoids 3. My answer to that is if Shibuya from TWEWY gets to be a world, have them have a reason to go to an arcade

They'd have to be very careful if adding Wasteland, giving the nature of the world
