I never liked the idea of having customization for KH at all. It was never an option (despite KHX), so why bring it in now? It wouldn't fit.

Yes it makes more sense that he converts people who already exist. It just fits as a better story. Also I believe Terra will be saved by Sora and become a guardian of the light. Xehanort said he has two lights in his possession...at the time. Terra is constantly fighting xehanort to not be lost forever. He was already shown in Blank Points insinuating sora will save him and Ventus too. But you never know what will happen. Also I think terra/xehanort is out of commission somehow. His Heartless is Ansem and we haven't seen Terranort since BBS. So if Sora saves Terra,Terranort would be incomplete.

Nah actually none of the movies are canon considering the movies were basically filler and never in the manga at all (except Battle of Gods). Tarble is canon because he was mentioned in BoG. The Bardock story is canon too. So the saiyans alive now are Goku, Vegeta, Trunks, Gohan, Goten, Tarble, and Pan is soon to be born making her 1/4 saiyan.
