If the game is made correctly, then yes, we will. I am all for game devs and directors being in their own games in some capacity. Kojima being a hidden recruit in Peacewalker, John Romero's severed head being hidden in the final boss in Doom 2, etc. It's always super entertaining to see that kind of lighthearted stuff.

Looks like shit, the special effects are awful, there's barely any CG. I'm telling you guys, no one's gonna want to watch a movie based in this universe.

About YouTube reviewing, the independent people who do those usually make a show out of it- think Angry Joe or The Escapist. It's not just a few paragraphs and then a score, it's guys talking about a game and making jokes and having fun with it. It's usually more comedy show than review. You see Hatok from KH13 making videos like that too, sometimes reviews and sometime just talking about whatever game related thing, and it's just more enjoyable that way.

I'm not even that against reviewers, just the concept of reviews entirely. Now that it's really easy to find people with similar interests to yours, you don't need a prepared review to get an idea on a product, you just need to listen to what they're saying. In my experience it's given me a much better picture of what I'm in for with a game (or anything really) than "professional" reviews by people I've never heard of.

I've been meaning to get into the Yakuza series for a while now, and 0 is a perfect place to start it seems. It's supposed to have the best mechanics and systems in any of the games so far and I'm really excited to play it (eventually, I already maxed my budget on 2.8 ).

It also works in reverse, too; if a person you typically disagree with on most things says a game is good, you probably won't like it then, yeah?

Even as just a factor, reviews are obsolete. It's easier and more trustworthy to see what people you know or respect are saying on YouTube or Twitter or forums you frequent (like this one). I haven't read a traditional review in years, but I've gotten tacit recommendations or warnings based on what the people I follow are saying, and it's much better that way.

Don't trust reviews at all. Think for yourself. Watch, read, play whatever you want and form your own opinions.

Beyond the fact that IGN can't do basic research about Kingdom Hearts games, I love that they included Mario (Switch), a game that's not even confirmed to exist yet and Splatoon (Switch), a port of a 2015 game, but not either Sonic games slated to come out in 2017, nor Yakuza 0 or Kiwami. They just do not give a remote shit about Sega.

I do keep hearing about how high quality the animation of for XY and Ash actually came close to winning a league for once in his life. It certainly sounds better than the old stuff. I totally get your disappointment if the new one's bad.

All I remember is what I saw as a kid up to when May came in, whatever season or whatever that was. Spent the whole time thinking was "this is stupid, it's nothing like the games, Ash is an idiot, he's so terrible at this". Point being, Pokemon anime sucked for a long time. I'm not surprised if it sucks again.

Violence-based games tend to sell really well because they're controversial. So many bored moms cried about GTA corrupting their precious little babbies that sudden;y everyone wanted to see what the fuss was about and bought into the franchise. So many gaming news outlets bashed Hatred before it even came out because it was super violent, so everyone bought that to see what was so awful about it. Rinse and repeat for Postal and Mortal Kombat. People screaming about how "morally reprehensible" a thing is always garners attention for that thing, usually more attention than that thing actually deserves. Also I wouldn't say Unity has an incestuous relationship. It's pretty much the exact same relationship as Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann (Arno works for Elise's dad since he was orphaned as a child), so unless you consider Pirates of the Caribbean to have incest, there's no issue there.

Ratchet & Clank- it's super good and super cheap.

I'd personally want to go with as long as everyone else thinks is feasible; spoilers are the easiest way to just flat out ruin a story, and not everyone's gonna get to play 2.8 in the first few months of release (it is a full $60, after all).

Funny, but forget about Rey, everyone knows Finn and Poe Dameron are the real romantic couple.

It's got so many iconic characters and scenes that it's easily one of the most well-known movies on the planet. It's a classic.
