Subjective my dear. I assume that a gimmick is a rather extra feature just meant to attract attention, while an innovation is something brand new that adds to what was already there in a positive way. As you can see, very thin line which leads to debate. IMO I wouldn't worry about it too much. You're allowed to play the things you like and it shouldn't matter if it's /gimmicky/ or not. Just my own thoughts anyways.

It was mainly tongue in cheek. Ephemer isn't bad by any means, it's more or less just poking fun of how superfluous it is to knock off an -a just for the sake of sounding more masculine ;P

I like characters who... have thought put into them. Gritty or pure fun doesn't particularly matter. Typically if effort was put in while creating a character it shows. You should do fine

Personally, I'm completely fine with parallels (and we all know Nomura adores his parallels) but I'd rather... the entirety of the characters weren't rehashed purely for the sake of some bs clever plotline.................................................................................. I won't discredit connection by any means but I would not particularly fancy downright reincarnation. There's already a bunch of spiritual ties between characters and I think we've had our fill as a collective fandom already. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

The first dragon I ever seen was from the first movie I ever seen in theaters. I was a little more than one year old, and I was in Okinawa. I remember next to nothing but when I close my eyes I can vaguely picture clinging to my mom's hand and her complaining about prices. We went and saw a film called Spirited Away. It's a truly remarkable film if you've yet to seen it and I recommend it with all my heart. There is an eastern dragon character named Haku in the movie who plays a major role and he just so happens to be my favorite character in the movie.

How dare this game franchise use fan service to appeal to their fans to sell their games to make money! Disgusting. Naw I'm just playing though, I realize the complaint is directed towards the impact on the narrative and is therefore legitimate ^^. For me personally, seeing as how Kingdom Hearts in concept is more or less a fairy tale I really don't mind a fairy tale ending. Xion's overall death had little impact on the story other than being well... tragic to the player. In my opinion I see no real problems with bringing her back. Fan service or not the emotional impact was there on Roxas at the time and it makes little difference now considering he's incapable of remembering her. It probably serves as a source of satisfaction or clarity to the player if they were to rescue Xion because in the end the players were the only real thing impacted by her death. So it helps make /you/ feel like a hero. But alas that's just my opinion //*finger guns*

If I may offer my own two cents, I was essentially restricted from nothing while growing up so I may have a view for this. I feel like sheltering your children is a good thing to do to a degree. Overprotection however is a thing and also has dire consequences. It's all about balance. These are however just my own views and I mean no disrespect to others.

Mhmmm, like to me, Ienzo looks like 10-12 in bbs, but in COM he can't be older than 20. I mean come on Repliku was able to lift him off his feet. I also just like to say Lea and Isa are 14 in bbs purely to keep them a clean 10 years older than Sora. One or two year difference doesn't really matter anyways. While Axel and Saix look early to mid 20s, and apparently aren't any older than Demyx, Marluxia, and Larxene according to the graphic novels. Hence I just like to say that being...
