  1. By all means, even if it's only two chapters, you should do what you feel most comfortable doing. It's hard to keep the same mindset over the course of two years. You and your style may have changed drastically in the meantime, to the point where a seanless connection could even be impossible without tweaking some things. In the end I believe it should make you happy. I think a lot of people could write things which are appealing to the masses
  2. Of course, the essence has remained the same and some scenes have been planned from the very beginning but especially reader inserts tend to become something different. It's not necessarily a bad thing but as you said, these works are also an extension of the author so it's crucial to not getlost in always pleasing the reader as you go but also do what you want to do. It's really a delicate balance but ultimately you as an author also hold that authority.
  3. Maybe some people are just that fast and dedicated. Or have a lot of the chapters written down to a certain degree. And the length of chapters is also important. I figured that a lot of the weekly ones tend to have shorter chapters. While I make partly elaborate plans for chapters, I don't want to be too rigid when I write. Especially Sunlight has become a work that has changed drastically from my original plans once the readers became involved.
  4. there's no shame in either rewriting it or abandoning it, even if it may make people sad. The lastthing anyone wants to read are sub-par chapters written only to make others content.
  5. *look at it. Though it does mean more to me to take my time if it comes from someone who has the same problem as you do. I see a lot of people updating weekly or even several times a week while still maintaining great quality. Sure, it takes longer to write it by hand and type it off on my phone, but that's still amazing and a bit depressing. ^^' But you should also take the time you need. And if you feel like it isn't what you want anymore,
  6. Relatovely healthy sounds good enough to me, especially considering that we can't choose our parents and being related doesn't necessarily mean you need to love anyone, as harsh as that sounds. That's why it's always nice to hear that people get along most of the time. I feel you there... I don't know hownpeople can be so confident about their work. I've been told that people like my works but I still feel the need to hide my face in a pillow every time I lo...
  7. But I understand. It's nothing against your parents but we all have things we would like to do differently and on our own. I guess it's normal to sometimes wish to live on your own. I live on my own for a majority of the week to study and it does have its merits but it's sometimes also nice to be with the parents if you don't have a strained relationship. ^-^
  8. My father is also always complaning about that but he can't complain if they're just loose. Tbh, he doesn't care if I laze around in PJs as long they're not the ones I've slept in. There's a thin line between my casual at home wear and sleep wear anyway. I'm questioning my sanity for using the same name and icon everywhere. But thank you! I appreciate the compliment. (Although I need to update more often.)
  9. Seems like the ideal garment for gaming at home though. I enjoy loose and comfortable clothing when playing video games.
  10. Same here. There are a lot of games I wouldn't do it for because the waiting is sometimes horrendous, but definitely for KH3. Though I doubt it'll be the place for KH3 news. I don't think there were ever any Kingdom Hearts related news in the past few years. While FFXV did receive a new trailer right before release, I'm not sure about KH getting the same treatment. Gamescom may be a big event, but well... Then again, Paris Games Week also did not have much of a history with KH news and got quite the amazing reveal, so who knows what they've got in store?
  11. It's great this will be a thing, especially for those who do not want to go through dozens of hours of the games, though I still don't get why someone would want to play a game without even playing the other titles. I could understand it if they would only want to play it for the fun of it and not to get the story but anyone who does value the plot won't get the full experience from the summary either. As I mentioned before, you don't pick up the tenth volume of a book and then complain you don't get the story because you haven't read the 9 other books preceeding it. Not to mention that people had a huge amount of time to play all the games. The collections were on PS3 and PS4 and even if you've owned neither, there're still walkthroughs, Let's Plays and the like to watch on Youtube, Twitch and so on. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for making it a little easier on newcomers, especially by chosing a method that won't bore those who know the storyin KH3 with a copious amount of flashbacks and notes. I just don't really understand the reason,I guess. And I'm somehow doubtful these movies can explain everything. The story is a lot to take in. Not impossible, I managed to get my friend through in half a year and she's fairly proficient now, but I wonder if those movies won't confuse newcomers more than actually helping them. If I look at Days, they skipped quite a few scenes which were kinda important for example. I guess we'll have to wait and see. I'm definitely curious how they'll do it, though I'm skeptical if this is really a good method for people to get into the series. It seems more convenient for people who have to refresh their knowledge without wanting to play the games again than for players who are either new to the series or play the games a lot.
  12. I somehow doubt that's what it means. If this was a decision-based game, they would need to create several scenarios and changing a Seeker of Darkness or a Guardian of Light could potentially alter the whole narrative. With how much they have to resolve, this kind of CYOA would be counter-productive. It works for games Like Detroit: Become Human, Beyond Two Souls or Until Dawn because the gameplay is kept to a minimum, mostly consisting of QTEs or making decisions by pressing a button or going one way or another. Those games are highly story-driven. While these types of decisions have been present in a smaller scale in other games, a lot of them only affect the rest of the game marginally. Saving Aqua or not saving her is a big change however. But KH has a lot more gameplay factors to consider and by choosing to give the player multiple routes, they would inadvertently have to put in more work or cut down on how much one story can entail. Not to mention that there's no real canon anymore. I won't rule out the possibility, but personally, I believe the hard work is more in a sense of getting to the point where she can be saved and winning a subjectively hard battle. In that way, it does depend on the hard work of the player because we have to get there and win or otherwise she won't be saved and the game can't progress. As for Wreck-It Ralph... Of course he has his own world but it doesn't mean we get to visit it in KH3. I believe they announced there would be a world exclusive to KHUX so it might be that?
  13. I'd seriously hold back on the assumptions. The problem with all this new information circulating is that a whole lot of false information is also part of it. It was nowhere stated that Lea and Kairi would end up together (not to mention that this might not be well-received because Lea is about 10 years older than her and she's a minor. It's not illegal and not unheard of, but I feel that it might be frowned upon by some). On the contrary, Nomura once again talked about how friendships develop, not romance. Sora not being his favorite character is not necessarily a bad thing. He said that he can't sympathize with him and looking at his appearances and the interviews, it would be odd if he could. Nomura is a grown adult and doesn't seem like the happy-go-lucky type so he may not be able to identify with him. But that's not a problem. I also write stories and there are main characters I don't like the best but I've written them because they suit the plot. I would also be upset if things are unnecessarily retconned. I'm doubtful regarding those points as well. I also do not see the absolute necessity for messy tropes like time travel because he could have easily used the completed people again since having a heart obviously is not preventing someone becoming a vessel. But I would also wait and see. Things are often depicted a lot more drastic than they actually are because it depends on what people consider as "dark" for example. Nomura also said that previous titles were fairly dark, which is true, so naturally KH3 needs to be the climax to that but it does not mean that it will end in a tragedy. Especially the comparison to Marvel might not be the best option because we all know they excel at bringing characters once presumed dead back to life. The same will happen in KH3 because we basically know they're going to bring Roxas & Co. back. That's why I wouldn't be so negative yet. Promoting a game like this makes people anxious but also curious to see what happens. It doesn't mean that KH will suddenly take a drastic turn or completely crush the beloved atmosphere. I always considered Nomura to be someone who likes tormenting people like this. But there was always this underlying hope in every game.
  14. Good for you, I guess?
  15. I'll burn the game if it does. All of Far Cry's endings are basically terrible and some are even unnecessarily senseless. <_<
  16. They're still fluctuating a bit and some can't compare to that Sora gameplay model still (and Xemnas' face is still a bit too broad and the eyes too small) but I feel like it's visually a lot more pleasing and consistent than a few months ago and even with smaller things, it's at a point where it's nitpicking. Nothing too drastic anymore.
  17. Could also be. We don't know the full extent of the shader or how much progress needs to be made in other worlds. For example, Frozen, ahike not looking terrible, looks a bit unpolished in comparison to Tangled or even POTC for example. I stilk think the quality can also differ since some cutscenes looked better and others not as detailed. Overall though, I'm pretty pleased with the progress. The models look much better.
  18. If they decide on multiplayer as a DLC, that would actually be fine by me. I'm not fond of DLCs but multiplayer options require time if they want to do it right. Often, games are either directed at single player or multi player gameplay. Even if they have both, the other option often loses to the one taking the primary focus or both suffer. That's why I think multilayer would be a good implementation after the release. This way, they can truly focus on an enjoyable experience and not lose quality because they have to work on other things. It also ensures people will continue to play it if it's any good. Interestingly, he also said that Aqua had fallen to darkness, not that she had become a vessel. So there's still the possibility that she's not a part of Xehanort's thirteen darknesses. I'm a bit disappointed he's bot that interested in bringing FF character together anymore, though I still hope Leon & Co. will reappear. I really loved the interactions between them and Sora, Donald and Goofy and would like them to take a semi-important role again.
  19. I also think it's real-time, mainly because they've always used CG sparsely. However, it may be the case that there will also be a difference in quality between certain scenes, like how in previous games there were sometimes flat faces with little movement. Or the lighting as well. The CG from 0.2 also looked a little different, smoother and clearer overall, especially the eyes and clothes.
  20. He didn't say there would only be new Disney worlds, he only said they would not reuse existing maps. They didn't lie and I feel the word is rather strong. I just dislike POTC in KH and feel there would have been better choices...
  21. Understandable. They could have at least asked her, though at the same time, her life has not been easy during periods of the last few years. We don't know why they didn't even bother to ask her but this may have played a part. I'm not going to assume anything but it feels like a lot of effort to cast someone new if the old VA wasn't even requested.
  22. Somehow this trailer killed my hopes for both Treasure Planet and Atlantis. Considering I like both more than Pirates of the Caribbean, I'm a bit disappointed they chose that movie. (Everything was also heavily overlighted, wasn't it?)
  23. Perhaps because Marluxia is not as sincere about his involvement with the Organisation as he claims? Just a thought but I believe that the characters involved with Union Cross will have more purpose ahead of them than just be vessels or fight against Xehanort. And Larxene might not be involved in that.
  24. The movie was alright but I wanted Frozen because I love ice worlds, not because of the movie itself. It fits well and I'm content that it got chosen. Now I'd really like an older Disney movie to get added as well. Treasure Planet, Atlantis, Pocahontas... something along those lines.
