Though if Square could only use one time period, they would be allowed to use either the OT or the sequels, if only because that's what Disney is focusing on atm.

There already is. It’s called BBS 0.2. I don’t think Square will release a demo, if only because they want to avoid spoilers and leaks.

I don't know what to think. The GO connectivity and other things are nice, and a new version of Kanto might be good for newcomers who may want to play a version of the series' origins, but the lack of certain features are off-putting. I'll wait until I see more.
