While we're on the subject of Mushrooms, does anyone know how to hit Mushroom No. 8 85 times in KH2FM? I've tried all day using various methods from Youtube and I keep getting bad luck of it going straight down. I took off all combos, spamming negative with berserk and I came close and got to 80 hits before it was launched impossibly far beyond my reach. Mushroom 8 has to be the cheapest KH minigame I've ever played in the history of KH thus far.

I despise data Demyx. He completely ignores the rules of the Demyx boss fight lore. And I couldn't even hit data Xaldin. As if regular Xaldin wasn't already absurdly hard enough.
-
Defeated Marluxia and he was very hard. Had learn his attack pattern down perfectly to beat him. Afterwords I went and fought Sephiroth who, compared to the ghost Organization, is a complete joke XD

As long as the content is interesting enough, I'm for it. Like I would enjoying playing as Young Xehanort in how he selected the other members of the Organization, and actually going to get or corrupt them. I think that would be very fun while also expanding on characters that really need it, and why they are in the new group. Now that would be worth playing. However if it's just to explore Xehanort's backstory, then honestly I'm not that interested given how the character ended. Not saying I wouldn't want it, it just wouldn't be a big selling point for me right now.

I wanna say I hope they don't show any story elements and just focus on the gameplay for ReMind, but who am I kidding? I just want to see gameplay footage and leave the story elements for the game itself. Still I'm excited.

Finally beat Lexaeus and Vexen! Marluxia is all that's left.

This was a legendary day for me! For the first time ever in all my years of playing KH games I fought my boi Roxas! I've waited many many years for this, watching Youtubers play their KH2FM boss battles with Roxas, and could only watch in envy as I only had vanilla KH2. The battle was so much fun. It can either be insanely hard or super easy if you get the Reaction Command to Dual Wield. I left a save file to re-fight him over and over again. I have to say I also loved the new cutscene they added with Roxas, Axel and Xemnas after the battle. I wish vanilla KH2 had all this, because truth be told I didn't like either Roxas or Axel much in vanilla KH2. Their goodbye cutscene on the tower was a much needed addition and reminded me why Roxas is my favorite character. As if I needed a reminder.

Vexen's AS became available and so I tried it...saying this fight is hard is putting it lightly. I did not win and died numerous times. Vexen's Anti-Sora's are Terranort precursors and can stun lock you until you die and there's nothing you can do about it but watch it hit you a hundred times in the air, drain all but one of your hp, fall to the ground try and get a Hi-Potion only for it or Vexen to sniper you. Honestly outside Larxene, which felt like a good and fair challenge, these AS org fights feel like superbosses. So going forward I'm going to treat them as such. I will not attempt anymore until I'm over level 70, have Ultima Weapon, Explosion and every other OP ability in KH2FM. I actually really like the idea they were going with Vexen summoning a fake Sora to fight with him from data. It's very creative, fits his mad scientist theme perfectly and I do enjoy gimmick bosses in Kingdom Hearts. It just feels impossible to win when it start's appearing with multiple hp bars and stun locking you with no way to recover. To anyone who can beat all the AS Organization members without overleveling like I plan to do, you all have my respect. I am not at that level XD

The ghost Organization members I've been doing are the AS versions. I'm utterly terrified that these guys have harder versions out there in data mode, is it called? A harder version of Zexion and his cheap struggle move? or Lexaeus and his unblockable moves? Should have played FM on Standard. And I still don't have my beloved Explosion that I miss more and more with each fight.
-
Yay! I finally defeated Larxene! I like her fight more then Zexion's, it was actually fun. I've been fighting Lexaeus since then and he doesn't play fair. Some times I can block other times I can't. Sometimes Reflect works sometimes it doesn't. He has these unblockable moves with no reaction commands to stop them and they are really slow to watch. I believe the game when it says Lexaeus is the strongest in the Organization XD

Obscure and Unlikely Characters you'd love to see
SweetYetSalty replied to ocean's rage's topic in Kingdom Hearts - General
Basil the great mouse detective. Though I would love for this to be a world in a future Kingdom Hearts game. Powerline from a Goofy Movie would be a great summon. Though I don't know if he counts as obscure.- 42 replies

KH2 without Explosion is kinda difficult. I never realized how much I relied on it for staying safe as well as dealing damage. Battles like the Tron's Hostile Program, 1000 Heartless Battle, and even that dumb stall battle against Riku-Ansem that I found to be pretty easy in vanilla KH2 are surprisingly difficult now in this FM version.
-
Tried out Larxene this morning and got killed. I followed everyone's advice on Reflect though. I need to time her attacks better. So after getting killed by her mob, I tried out Lexeaus who also became available. Well he was easier to hit, still died. I took my frustrations out on Hayner in Struggles. Nothing like beating up Roxas's fake best friend to make me feel better about my abilities. I miss early Explosion too.

In terms of creatures I say the Heartless are the best. While I do like the Nobodies the most, I like them better as characters not in terms of creatures to fight. The Heartless come in all shapes, sizes, designs, and are just really cool creatures to come across. I'm always excited to see what new Heartless will appear in the next KH games and if old ones return what new moves they'll get.
-
Finally beat Zexion! That little twerp was so difficult with his cheap struggle book. I'm glad Repliku eliminated him. I'm scared to even think about how hard Larxene is going to be as she's next on those ghost Org thingies.

Started playing KH2FM for the first time and am amazed with all the new things they added. Though I'm starting to hate Zexion and his books DX

Xemnas for me! Despite coming off somewhat sympathetic in KH2, he still came off very evil and knew exactly what he was doing in the games he appears in. Ansem is a very close second though.Maleficent was great in Kingdom Hearts 1 as the placeholder villain until Ansem comes. But Xemnas just feels like the villain I got to know the most due to his many numerous appearances through KH2, Days, DDD and even KH1 FM.

I played Kingdom Hearts 1 Final Mix for the first time. And while it was a very fun to return to KH1 after playing KH3 over and over again, one thing I didn't like this time around. Getting the Ultima Weapon. In the original KH1, getting the Ultima Weapon was grindy but pretty easy to get. At least for me. The enemies were standard, so I would plug in a podcast and listen to it while slaying Heartless to get their rare drops...and level up while I was at it. Grindy but easy. KH1 Final Mix adds a bunch of new gimmicky Heartless. And while they aren't bad on their own, you have to slay them to get the new items for Ultima. Once you get the hang of it, it's not so bad, but learning how to do that giant pink Mushroom the first time without a guide? Yikes! Thank goodness for Youtube visual guides.

I posted this on another site and thought I'd ask the same thing here too. I was just thinking about the Corridors of Darkness that the bad guys always use and who can still use them. Maleficent and Pete can still use them, but what about the former members of the Organization? We saw Lea use this in DDD whether or not he still can will likely depend on whether Nomura decides if he can or not. Xigbar likely still can, no reason he shouldn't. Ienzo said his group can't anymore, and we saw with Vexen the only way he could was to become a Nobody again. I'm also assuming the revived Isa cannot either. At least until we see what he retained from Saix post KH3. This brings me to Roxas, Xion, and Namine. They could use Corridors of Darkness and all three are back now in shiny new bodies. Roxas could be like Riku in that he lost the ability due to not belonging to darkness anymore or something like that. Namine and Xion are both different. Xion was one of Xehanort's 13 Darkness's and unlike Terra she didn't belch out any part of Xehanort from her body. So in theory she should still be able to use the Corridors of Darkness. Then there is Namine who could use them too and without the protection of a black coat, due to her being a special Nobody. She's also using Dark Riku's vessel, but Ansem and crew might have removed any lingering darkness on it when they revived her. So my question is would these three still be able to use Corridors of Darkness post KH3? Will it be their means of travel if a Gummi ship isn't available to them? And is there anyone else from both the old and new Organization who might still be able to use them after KH3?

I agree that MoM will be shown even if not fought. He's such a hammy character I hope he appears several times in KHIV and beyond. Build him up the way Xehanort was. It'll be curious if MoM and Sora are in the same location. Then it'll be a race between the heroes and Foretellers trying to revive Sora and MoM respectively.
-
I still call this dude Xigbar XD As for what he'll do? I don't see him taking on the main villain role, at least not up front. I see him guiding the Foretellers and they are the main antagonist for the time being. They'll be the villains the heroes face but it's Xigbar calling the shots from the shadows until MoM comes home. I know that it's not his style as he loves to toy with everyone, both his allies and enemies, but I think his role in the series is going to do a major shift thanks to how important he has become. I don't even think MoM will be the main antagonist for KHIV. MoM seems like a final opponent at the end of a saga not the start of one. So it'll likely be the Foretellers getting their hands dirty for awhile. Maybe build up Maleficent as a threat again before we get to MoM. I view Luxu/Xigbar as important as MoM. I think we'll really see him in action when MoM returns but not sooner. We'll see, it's so exciting.

Dreams do come true. I'll just copy what I said on another site to express my overjoyed feelings on these two getting figures :) My BOI Roxas! This is too great! And Xion's finally getting some merchandise. I just might be able to get my Sea-Salt trio in figure form. I'd so want these. They can watch my TV screen when I play as them slaying Saix in ReMind XD
