So do people here tend to play KH1.5 more or KH1 more? I keep seeing the streams where people play the original over the updated version.

    Shulk replied

I haven't played a whole lot of either, but I'd play 1.5 over 1 just because it's easier for me to access. I'd prefer the original 1 because I'm not a fan of a lot of the additions to the Final Mix, or the bugs in 1.5, but those aren't enough to completely stop me from playing it.

... People are seriously selling the Majora's Mask New 3DS for $10,000? -_- These are bad times for buying Nintendo products.

    WakingDawn96 replied

Good thing I am happy to settle for my Red New 3DS XL with my own personal touch on it. (I put a sticker of all the Eeveelutions and Pikachu on it and it looks perfect on it)

    Shulk replied

I wasn't that interested in the MM bundle, but I know a lot of people who really wanted it and were ready to pre-order one, but then scalpers picked them all up. :/ I'll probably settle for a normal Red New 3DS XL since there's more and more evidence going against the possibility of a Xenoblade New 3DS XL, but seeing people do this with these limited edition systems is actually making me really mad. They should let the real fans get these instead of selling them for ridiculous pri...

    OmegaForte replied

2015 is scalper's year. You can thank Nintendo of America for being a failure. (And Nintendo in general for mass production)

    Jilly Shears replied

I'm glad I got the MH4 bundle no one cares about. lol

    Shulk replied

MH4 bundle looks awesome too, I might go for that if it's somehow still around by the time I get my New 3DS. I really wanted the game, anyway, and adding it in for just an extra $20 (I think it was that much) is a great deal.

    WakingDawn96 replied

MH4 was sold out at GameStop.com the last time I checked

    Jilly Shears replied

It ended up being about $260 including tax when I ordered from Gamestop online, but I had a couple of gift cards left so it ended up being about the MSRP anyway. My XL was pretty ghetto because of broken hinge and broken circle pad syndrome, and MH4 ended up being my favorite 3DS game to date, so I really consider the purchase justified.

Plus the blue-and-silver color scheme on the 3ds's shell itself is very pretty.

    Shulk replied

@Waking Really? Crap, I hope Amazon still has some. Of course, I wasn't really expecting there to be any by the time I can pick one up, anyway.

@Jilly Yeah, the design on it looks really nice. I loved the MH4U demo, so I get a feeling it will end up being one of the best games on the 3DS, too.

    WakingDawn96 replied

Am I the only one who didn't like MH4? I tried my best to do the demo, but it just wasn't my cup of tea

    Shulk replied

No, a lot of people didn't really like it. It's a tough series to get into, since it's really different from most other games. My only experiences come from demos, but so far, it's been the type of game I can have a lot of fun with. I love the whole rewarding feeling behind it, and I had a lot of fun playing co-op, so I'm really interested in it. I know a lot of people who didn't like it, though.

    Jilly Shears replied

Nah, there's a couple of people I know who don't like MH either. lol

You have to go into it expecting something like Dark Souls where you have to take into account how all of the weapon types work, their lag time, how the monster behaves and predicting what it's about to do, etc. I love it, though I know there's such a steep learning curve to it, and it's just a type of game not everyone would like.

    WakingDawn96 replied

Well I like games that are either easy to pick up and play (like Smash), or explain what you need to do in order to succeed

    WakingDawn96 replied

Or even those who are challenging to figure something out but gives you the items and skills you need to move on in the game (Zelda)

    Shulk replied

I personally like a good challenging or strategical game, and MH4U fits both of those really well from what I've played. I ended up looking up some guides online explaining how to start off the game, so I think I'll be off to a good start when I play the full game. Of course, the demos make things worse by just kind of tossing the player into a field with a preset character and telling them to just go whack some giant monster.

Totally agreed. You watching the movie as well?

    Kirie replied

Is there a difference between the anime and the movie?

Congratulations on finishing FMA Brotherhood! :D

The animation style looks a bit different, but the feel is the same. It doesn't take place at any particular time in the anime.

God, I really need to get watching FMA. xD

i am a stickler for physical games. i just dont like digital

    WakingDawn96 replied

I prefer physical copies as well, but if the only way I can get the game is digital, then I am willing to get it that way too. But there has to be reason why I would get digital over physical

    Sorual replied

yeah. i really want MH4U but by the time im able to get that, it looks like it will e sold out and digital will e my only option. :/

    Exiblade7 replied

either one is fine with me.

    Sorual replied

more power to you. it fixes the problem of finding rare games for a good price. -_- the only exceptions i make are steam games and demos.

    WakingDawn96 replied

What about digital only releases, Sorual? Like Shovel Knight and Pokemon Battle Trozei?

    Sorual replied

@wakingdawn those are the only times i make acceptions. but any game thats avaliale physically, i prefer to get physically. (aside from steam games for some reason :/)

@blankshell yeah. picky and old fashioned or not, i just feel more comfortable with physical. i can still do digital, but id much rather physical. and yeah. nintendo digital is pretty risky. i heard someone lost like 100 hour of animal crossing by losing their 3ds. o_O

    Shulk replied

I also prefer physical copies. I honestly don't feel like I really own a new game unless I have the disc in my hand/on my shelf.

@BlankShell Unless you run out of storage space on the system. And people might have reasons other than just being old-fashioned. :/

    WakingDawn96 replied

@BlankShell Maybe you can think that people are trying to be "old fashioned", but just try and think about what it meant to have the actual copy of the game. It was your copy, yours alone, and you could hold it, look at it, feel it, and you truly felt like you had the game. Now if digital games, it is like we don't have it, even if we do. We can't see it all the time and it just doesn't have the same feeling. There is something special about real games that digital games j...

    WakingDawn96 replied

Well remember this, we all like different things, and you shouldn't call others names just because you think a different way. There are always going to be people who want physical copies more and those who want digital more. Calling people "old fashioned" is name calling in the least, and you shouldn't really do it, because you don't know how that will make the other person feel.

    WakingDawn96 replied

Plus I got MK8 in digital after losing my actual copy and I haven't really played it as much as when I had the actual copy. So that goes to show my feelings on Digital games

    Jilly Shears replied

I think digital games are fine if they have physical versions too so you have the choice of owning a copy or just a license to play it out of convenience.

BTW Monster Hunter 4 is insanely good, but I'm sure there'll be enough copies to go around. MH3U copies are still floating around out there, and I doubt Capcom would have only made a first print or some bullshit like that.

    WakingDawn96 replied

Well I guess to me actual copies of a game make it feel like it has life. It just how I feel, and I know it is something others will find not to their liking. But we all like different styles of living, and that makes us different from everybody else.

    WakingDawn96 replied

Jilly has a very good point on both accounts

    Shulk replied

@BlankShell I'm actually starting to run out of space on both my 3DS and Wii U, and while I could buy more SD cards or an external hard drive (And I do plan on buying a 32GB micro SD card when I get my New 3DS XL), that's just added cost to the game in the first place. Besides, I haven't really noticed much of a price difference between a new copy of a physical game, or the digital version. Pre-owned copies of physical games are usually the cheapest option from my experiences.

    Shulk replied

They've had a lot of digital sales in the past few years. Their first ventures into digital gaming admittedly haven't been the best, but they're getting a lot better. Their physical game production has been fine, they're only really having issues with things like amiibo and limited edition systems. Even with those, there have been a lot of other factors contributing to their scarcity (Scalpers, and apparently a port strike has affected US stock).

    Sorual replied

@jilly yeah. i called some stores and they said that they would get more shipments of MH4U. :)

@Shulk yeah. digital sales are awesome!

i actually do understand th appeal of digital games. the whole idea of having 1 machine (console) with a whole bunch or games right on there. sounds pretty cool. but id just rather have physical. :)

But there is no snow here.

    And there was much rejoicing.

So, I just went to a high school play that was doing Shrek: The Musical because I knew one of the kids in the cast. It was actually pretty funny and not like 'so bad it's good', but genuinely hilarious.

    Kaweebo replied

The kid who played Lord Farquaad played him more like Emperor Kuzco than the actual character (which doesn't help the fact that they both have the same hairstyle) but overall it was really good.

lol at playing him like Kuzco

    Deadpool replied

I actually want to see Shrek the musical both ironically and genuinely

    Kaweebo replied

Looking up stuff on Youtube, the 'official' Shrek musical actually looks pretty decent and the songs are really catchy.
