Look, everybody, I'm really, REALLY SORRY to say this, but, don't expect a world based on Disney movie "Meet the Robinsons" in KH3 or any other future title. You wanna know why, right? OK, here's the reason.

 

The plot is about a young genius boy (Lewis) who wishes to time-travel and go back to the night when his mother has left him in the orphanage still as a newborn and (try to) change his life for better.

 

OK, from this plot, we can take that it has a similarity to the KH series when it comes about the time-travel stuff. However, many of you guys are forgetting something crucial. Did you notice that in the movie, Lewis (and the other characters) could not only time-travel but also alter events of the past? Hmmm... And, what did Young Xehanort tell Sora in DDD? (Spoiler for those who haven't played DDD yet).

 

 

"You can't change the events that are destined to happen"/ "You can't change the past" or something like that

 

 

Yeah, people, if this world was ever in any future KH title, not only it would be controversial to KH (and Nomura-san)'s logic (if there is any to both), but it could also create (even more) confusions among fans.

 

So, what does everybody think?

Well, they could always just change certain events from the movie. A Disney world doesn't necessarily have to follow everything exactly from their respective movies. Many Disney worlds have had alternate scenarios from their movie counterparts, such as Wonderland, Olympus Coliseum, Deep Jungle, Agrabah, Neverland, etc.

 

If a Meet the Robinsons world would appear, they could always alter the story. They could, for example, have Doris taking over be an event that actually happens instead of an alternate future that changed the original.

 

But that's really my opinion on the matter. I'm indifferent for a Meet the Robinsons world.

I'm in the notion that we should just have Wilbur Robinson as a character that resides in Radiant Garden with the time travelling machine because he's the only Kingdom Hearts-seque character in the movie. But the hypothetical catch is, because he's not in his native world, he can only travel back in time with the Xehanort laws provided. Meet the Robinsons, while having a good message, it was just a really messy chaotic movie.

 

Am the only who loved this movie? I'd love for it to be in KH3!

No you're not dude it's 1 of my favorite movies too & i kinda have to disagree with you there because the world of meet the Robinsons is well is a little to big for KH3 don't believe me then look at other worlds in other Kingdom hearts games & compare that to the world of meet the Robinsons then you can see how it might be a little too big of a world to fit in Kingdom Hearts 3 .

I agree however that it should not be In KH I could not think of any possible way who to maintain the basic story line of the movie while also making it fit into the overall KH Plotline, they can try but I would end in a mess.

Jafar had control over Genie in the movie. There's not much difference there, other than attacking Sora and the others.

Yes, but one of Genie's rules is he can't kill anyone, yet that's exactly what Jafar had him try to do. True, he didn't want to, and he held back as much as possible, but he did try to grant a wish that broke the rules, just not very hard.

Well.. if anything this story from Meet the Robinsons can be a turning point for the battle against Xehanort in proving that events of the past can be changed. You might ask, that would be impossible since Xehanort has seized control over all events that will happen along the timeline, but I would imagine it would be only in worlds that he and his others have touched. What if the world of Meet the Robinsons was actually never touched by Xehanort or his predecessors / other organization members and that it was a world sealed off from the Heartless? The world then would be a separate entity from the timeline altogether and would not be affected by Xehanort's theory. For a numbered series KH, we have yet to encounter a world that has neither Heartless or Nobodies, or has not been affected by Heartless and/or Nobodies (i.e. 100 Acre Wood), so it would be interesting if such a world existed in terms of what kind of enemy we would be facing. Kind of a reference to the worlds in BBS, since they only contained the Unversed. Hope all that isnt just bogus since I'm actually not too familiar with "all" the lore in KH, but this explanation makes sense to me so far...

 

Further to what user Master Eraqus said, if anything they can take a segment of the Meet the Robinsons story and modify it to fit KH if they wanted the characters, as long as the essence of the story is still there.

Yes, and it failed, Genie did nothing, not even an attempt. The problem isn't with Jafar making a wish that breaks the rules, it's with Genie trying to grant it

True true i agree with there since some are game worlds are bigger &/or longer & some are not but however where do you think they'll put a keyhole who will be heroes/heroines to join Sora in his Journey & can you imagine how much datas/files can 1 disc carries unless they have a great disc that carries a lot of datas/files on a single disc unless they decide A they put it on a strong disc that carries more or they might do more then 1 disc.

 

So in a way i kinda have to say i agreed with there because some of the games are bigger then others like if you looked at other worlds in the series & you can imagine how much longer some of them are since some do want to go or do bigger so I'm going to agree with you only time will tell of how are they going to do it + only time will tell of how are they going to do the story or yep it's possible that Sora's story/era is over and time will begin anew sorry for the quote.

 

Some i might get the idea of the phrase from 1 of my favorite movies Mortal Kombat .
