well Kairis letter to sora is a love letter, so I get why itd be so mushy

Its a letter telling Sora that we will see each other again, and thats shes "thinking of him wherever he is"

the fact that the letter was what made soras heart open the door to light was so amazing

Kairi writes to Sora even when he doesn't get the letter

Its both a "dear diary" kinda thing, but the message in the bottle was meant for sora

she was hoping it would reach him somehow

Sure not every teen writes like this but not every teen acts like these characters nor is it trying to replicate any kind of teenage behaviours.

It just makes for more memorable scenes and dialogue
