Roxas's story arc was done in 2

and reopened in DDD

when it wasnt

literally KH2's story arc with Roxas

involved Namine

He didn't have much of an arc in 2 I think

His arc was going back to Sora and accepting it

And should have stayed that way

cough

But I can see why they changed that

Because him just accepting being someone else forever is pretty unfortunate

I mean thats contraction

cuz Sora to MX says fate is something that cant be controlled

so Roxas;s fate is something that was controlled meant to happen

nothing could change it

yeah seems like Sora says otherwise

but Roxas wasnt really accepting that he was someone else. He accepted himself as being part of Sora, that he could still live on through him.

Nobodies in kh2 never really felt complete. The whole idea of having no hearts, meant they never really felt they were ever meant to be and they would eventually just fade into nothingness. However Roxas and Namine overcame that fear and managed to escape their fates.

Its a little strange how close the two were in kh2 and its like pushed aside for Xion

Back then the idea of growing hearts wasn't a thing

The plot got DDD'd

And then, of course we find out they can get new ones. So yeah, Sora decides to bring them back and let them be their own people

it'd be kind of cruel to not let them be their own people

just finished reading the Sleeping Realms theory and HOO BOI

Pretty much, Sora and Kairi realised it's not ok that they are not their own people, even if Roxas Namine accepted it

They shouldn't have had to accept it, I guess
