Nomura literally said in an interview that his main role for KH3 was not the creative force but rather the mentor that said "yes" or "no" to the ideas the dev team had

KH3 is a bit of a mess, and it's still enjoyable because the Disney worlds are top tier but y'know a lot of people were promised different things from kh3 and never really got them

You can't help but think that that applies to the storytelling in some ways

like when i go back and look at the kh3 trailers

I dont want to insult people who loved the game, I liked it too

i honestly feel like im looking at a different game

i dont hate what we got

But I can't help but think harshly on it for a lot of things I didn't like

I see literally absolutely no good reason as to why the game shouldn’t have cut to Kairi after everyone died in the graveyard and showed how she was able to bring sora back, therefore everyone because IF they were to utilize this time for HER it’s exactly what she needed in the game despite the stupidly pointless death stuff

but it doesnt feel like it is what it should have been

KH3 to me is "deceptively mid", whenever you look at the individual parts they're great and up to snuff, but judged as an experience on the whole it falls flat

for me its better than all what came before it but maybe thats cuz i had no very specific expectation on events

We criticise, and we give solutions more importantly, to a lot of the game, but as it stands is that a sizeable chunk of fans just get immediately angry and defensive when their opinion is not shared

And I don't want that

It is kind of annoying when you give the slightest criticism when people are like you just didn't get what you want LOL

See, I'm very much a defender of the whole, I like a consistent experience that executes most things well instead of a back and forth or great moments mixed with bad ones

If the "new" devs listen more to the playerbase like they did with DLC and the free patch the next games are gonna be really really really good

i mean i dont expect " this to go like that and him to do this"

it's important to post criticism

Which is why KH1 is still my favorite KH game, it's a great whole of a game

well they talking story not gameplay

kh3 was a decent experience
kh3 remind was a booster shot of hope and excitement for what the future holds

gameplay was ass base kh3

story needed work
