I totally get the dilemma of not knowing what to get someone. Personally, I always try to avoid gift cards. To me, it kinda looks like I took the lazy way out and didn't consider what the recipient would actually want.

I actually prefer gift cards and money over everything else.

It lets me just get whatever I want anyways, and I'm otherwise indecisive, so money and cards is best.
