Is that just me or the midi samples square decided to use in the ps2 kingdoms hearts games were kinda off to me

especailly compared to say what nintendo was using with sc-88 pro

that soundfont is so good and with kingdom hearts compositions it sounds in my opinion a whole lot better than what they ended up using for the retal games on ps2

it's not like they don't give little recaps in the main games, both in the dialogue itself and in the journal entries

even not considering recaps, they only trickle in the things that are immediately required to know in the main plot when needed

fans who've played them will know the full background and references, while others will still be able to follow along as if it were new information presented to them at the time required

^^^ even in KH3, references like daybreak town’s tower under Scala, you need 0 context from the mobile games to understand what it is.
they even spell out what they need the player to know in the DLC.
