So far my favorite parts of re:mind are the playable characters, explorable Scala, the Guardians of Light vs Xehanort and the Story adding more to the original plot making it feel more complete.

And any songs associated with him always having this creepy feel to them

until DDD where they became dope

I think the thing I hate about the Final Mix titles to this day is the fact I never got to experience Xemnas the way he truly was supposed to be.

And the black thorns he can shoot out give him this unhuamn vibe i love it

Like all the people who joined in from the PS3 and onward got to experience Unknown before the first Xemnas fight in KH2

Like I can only imagine the sheer amount of excitement one would receive from recognizing the moves, the music, the sounds....sure would have been cool

back when i first heard about the final mixes

i thought about getting a japanese ps2 and a final mix copy just to play them

i mean it was a decade before we got kh1 final mix

Oh I could only dream of it.

Back in the days when Final Mix was this elusive Japanese thing

man thank goodness Nomura promised to never do that again

I watched thousands of YouTube videos on those for years.

me too

when i played kh2 i was like "where is that fight in kh1?" and then i learned that they were exclusive

Meanwhile I'm still a kid in 5th grade and Sephiroth was a killer fight for me in KH2 specifically

My friend learn how to do isosand stuff on the PSP so I had Birth by Sleep Final Mix

Like I didn't even play Proud at the time and I remember when I finally beat him and I was only on like Beginner or Standard. I beat him using Trinity while he had his ring of fire up.

you know i havent thought about this until now, but really we can thank the internet for being so easily accessible now for the success of the KH franchise

the internet really allowed these game to keep a community

even during the dry seasons

I started with borrowing a standard PSP copy of BBS, but later learned how to jailbreak one and got he Final Mix on it

BBS was my first Final Mix

oh man i wish i knew how to do that with my psp back in the day

I watched a shitload of YouTube videos on it and only did it when I was confident I knew what I was doing

also when you were a kid, did anyone else not really understand what japanese was, like as a language. Like when you heard it without subtitles you just didnt understand what it was?

There was key 2 truths FM BBs English patch

Then I had BBSFM, Project Diva, Black Rock Shooter, Dissidia Duodecim, 3rd Birthday, etc.

I had the English patch

like back when i was a kid, i just didnt really hear japanese as much as i do now, so it just sounded very alien to me when i was like 8-9

I should note that I don't support piracy unless you own or have owned a copy of a game, but I was bad and had all those without real ownership back then

I mean back then it was a big deal an everyone did it practically
