It might not be related to recent changes, but there's been a few times that I've started a video on my phone to listen to while I'm driving and I've gotten 10, 20, 45 minute "ads" and it's like, I'm driving! I can't take my eyes off the road to try and find the skip button! If you have to give me something, give me something short!

Then you have the ad that starts partway through or several ads every minute or so, which seems to be the choice of the uploader.

They shouldn't profit from an ad that much on cover music.

Some people can circumvent some by watching an embedded video on Discord, but UMG is also a pain in the ass about that b/c they ensure that embedded videos here don't work, requiring us to go directly to the site that will subject us to ads if we aren't premium users.

Age-restricted videos, it makes sense on.

I remember last year (2022) when the music bots stopped working to fetch music from YT b/c of some restriction w/ the API (probably similar to the paywall that Twitter/X has for fetching tweets/posts).

They must've caught on that users could pull up audio for music videos w/o visiting the pages; thus, not having to see or hear ads unless they had a premium account.
