It might help to go into the DHCP settings of your router and reserved an IP address for the device. You should also make sure PnP is enabled and have DMZ turned on for that same IP address. Enabling the TCP and UDP channel numbers in port forwarding for the consoles also helps ensure the router lets those packets of information/communication go through. The channel frequency number being set to the highest and channel being set to 1 might also help. I've read that setting your consoles DNSes to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 (Google's) also helps. Obviously, disabling security temporarily helps them connect w/ less interruption, but that's leaving it open. An Ethernet connection would work even smoother.

I've had trouble keeping my PS4 connected for long periods of time while other connections were just fine and even had to disconnect other devices.
