The Genie knew Keyblade wielders before Sora?

Featured Replies

He probably did or not, but I think that was sort of a joke knowing Genie if you watched the Aladdin movies.

it could jst be a plothole in the storyline?

Explain how that is a plot hole, because this of all things definately is not a plot hole.

There were wielders before Sora, so what.

the keyblade war...from a long time ago?

maybe he knew about it?

Well, if King Triton knows about the keyblade, then Genie could too.

Nomura said that the gameplay isn't strictly canon. Only the cutscenes are. Seeing as how Genie said those things in a speech bubble then it isn't considered truly canon.

Those speech bubbles are considered cutscenes, you know.

It's very possible. Keyblade wielders have probably been around since the dawn of time in Kingdom Hearts. After the Keyblade War, it wouldn't surprise me if there was a keyblade weilder in every world to look after it.

Or he could have just been talking about the keyhole in the Cave of Wonders, since that's where he was when Aladin found him. The Keyhole did happen to be in the room where the Lamp used to be.

who knows, of all things, genie could've been around in the keyblade war, or he saw the keyhole before, until future games come out, we might never know, my theory, genie used to be free before being imprissoned in the lamp, he could've been a keyblade wielder

I agree. I think this all has something to do with the Keyblade War. But then again, knowing Genie he could just be joking.

maybe he know maybe he doesnt we will never know cus namura said that there wouldnt be any game in the past after the point of bbs

Can you get us a link to it?

Genie said he has heard about the Keyhole not Keyblade's but he may have.

It wasn't just in a speech bubble. He also said it. :D

Hm... Maybe.

Genies are immortal, they dont die. One od his masters might have wished for the worlds to be safer so genie could have made the keyholes.

Would you do me a favor and take a look at the rug inventoried at Rugman dot com?

It's Genie though. Disregard 50% of what he says.

The Genie probably knows. He seems fairly omnipotent. He knows pop culture references that won't even occur for another 500 years or so. So if there was something as powerful as a keyblade running around, he'd know about it.

(something fun to consider: if Xehanort had got his hands on either the lamp of the Genie, or Jafar's lamp, he could have just wished for Kingdom Hearts)
