Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance may actually be Kingdom Hearts 3. Without even reading this whole topic most of you will say no. Well if you're not going to read what I have to say you might as well not vote.

 

According to Tetsuya Nomura, in an interview he stated that Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance will be on par with a numbered tilte. Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep is considered Kingdom Hearts Episode 0. Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2 are also considered, well, Kingdom Hearts 1 & 2. If Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance is a numbered title just like Kingdom Hearts BBS it must be an important game. Not only that but, it may be Kingdom Hearts 3.

 

If you just think about it for a second you might agree with me. At least consider this idea because the chances of KH3D being KH3 are not 0. All this means is the Kingdom Hearts 3 we all want and have been waiting so long for could be Kingdom Hearts 4.

 

Dream Drop Distance looks like a fairly good game with everything needed to be Kingdom Hearts 3. To most people, it exceeds Kingdom Hearts 2's awesomness level (so did BBS).

 

Anyway guys, I'm just spitballing here. KH3D may be KH3 or it may not be KH3. Who knows?

They wouldn't put KH3 on a handheld. That would just piss too many people off. And Nomura has talked about KH3 and how it's not in development. You could dismiss this saying, 'He just doesn't want to reveal it's 3D' but he wouldn't flat out lie to keep a secret. Nomura is sneaky enough to get around those questions with vague and slightly suggestive (yet misleading) answers. He's evil like that. I'd pull out quotes from interviews to further this but I'm too lazy right now. I'm sure someone else will.

 

Even if KH3D isn't a main game, I'm sure it's still going to be really awesome.

Pretty much what Oishii said mostly explains it. And also, Nomura has clearly stated that KH3 isn't nowhere near in development. The team who is supposed to make KH3 have their hands full oh Versus XIII. So don't count your chickens before they hatch. Knowing Nomura, he isn't going to even bother talking about KH3 until Versus XIII is completely finished. The only thing we'll have that closely talks about KH3 is the ending of Dream Drop Distance. So don't expect any more than that or don't even try making speculation about KH3 being KH3D. It wouldn't really well mix at all.

@Razorwind Keyblade, overwhelmingly huh? That's because a lot of people know, especially on this site, that KH3 would never be on a handheld console. Like Oishiu said, it would cause a lot of complaints and dissapointment on having the most anticipated KH game on a handheld. And it's also like I said, it wouldn't turn out well at all. So in other words what I'm saying is: Don't dare speculate on a game that hasn't been even made yet and try to come up with ridiculous theories. It won't work.

Why would Nomura continually say KH3 won't begin development until Versus 13 is finished since the KH team is working on it? Why would Nomura say KH3 is the end of the Xehanort saga? He wouldn't put that on a handheld. And many more. I am truly disappointed in you. lol joking.

I agree with Cella. That said though, I think that they are quite dumb in the way they market these games. Although Birth by Sleep sold well, it would have sold so much better if it was a numbered title. I mean Birth by Sleep wouldn't make sense being KH3, sure, but they could have called it KH0 and released it on the PS3, so many people would be happy and stop complaining, and it would kill the whole view that it is a side title. Birth by Sleep had the same amount of content as a numbered title, so it should have been marketed as such.

I thought you were going to be talking about the badly edited trailers. Has anybody BESIDES me found that they cut the dialog around to make it sound much more generic for no reason? It paints a really bad image for the series, despite the actual dialog sounding much better.

actually, nomura stated that it was a lot like COM(the bridge between 2 games). bbsv2 is probably like COM too. it could be the bridge between bbs and kh1
