I voted for both. Because a CG movie like they did w/ FFVII Advent Children was cool so like to see that for KH.

I voted for the anime. Making a movie would be so much harder than just releasing it in episodes. Though a movie would be cool.

Movie....at least then there's more of a chance that the original VA's will voice their respective characters. I couldn't handle someone else voicing Sora, Riku, Ven/Roxas, ect.

It's not impossible to get the original VA's. They definitely wouldn't skimp on at least Sora's VA.

 

I voted animated series. Movie would not work IMO. Too short. Besides, the worlds in KH usually take about 20 minutes, which is conveniently the length of a TV episode, so they've got that going for it.

Animated series because I think Hollywood might mess up KH if they did a movie.

A movie similar to Advent Children would be awesome for KH.....especially if they gave it the "good" graphics, except all the way through, rather than just the beginning and end....

I think you forgot a "They both sound like pretty awful ideas!!!" option. As much as I liked Advent Children and would enjoy seeing a CGI KH movie. The reason why Advent Children worked is because they knew they were never going to do a follow up game. KH is a franchise that we know is going to be carried on far into the future, so it just doesn't seem feasible to me. Besides my fellow KH fans already complain that there are too many side games; you know they'd never stop complaining if there was a side movie or series.

I think if they make a movie it shouldn't try to tell an existing story. I think it needs a story of its own. I don't think they should make a series because I can imagine how much it would ruin everything. I agree that both are pretty awful ideas, but if they pulled off a movie that'd be neat. I just don't know what it could be about (another reason I suggest a new plot line/continuation entirely for it, rather than retell events of the games).

 

(They did make a follow up to Advent Children. Three actually. =P Before Crisis and Crisis Core as prequels to FF7 and Dirge of Cerberus as a direct sequel to Advent Children. The publicity of Advent Children is what drew attention back to FF7, allowing them to make bank on renewed interest. The entire compilation's success can be blamed on Advent Children.) Speaking of Advent Children, it worked out so well because it brought back the main villain and then finished him again. Perhaps we could do that with Xehanort?

Both would mess up the series. It should stay manga and game exclusive.

Well I'd say movie but only for something we haven't seen, and won't be playing through, like the Keyblade War.

 

But besides that I wouldn't mind an anime version:

A movie ~~ I'm just too used to the graphics to see an anime version of them . Not that I'd hate it but I'd prefer if the style was like the vids from the game ~!

Now abt the content well hmmm , apart from something totally dif (like Keyblade War etc) that should be good and interesting , what I'd like to see is just somehow connecting Birth by Sleep with Sora and Roxas appearing more . I couldn't vote for either. Final Fantasy's storylines make for good movies and such, but I just can't see Kingdom Hearts as the same. It's just not the type of thing that looks like it'd work out.

A movie about the Keyblade War wouldn't be bad, but anything else would be too awkward-ish.

Manga exuilsive? Tokyopop lost the rights to pubish it in america AGES ago! As for the tv show/ movie......i vote movie. cause if Square made Advent Children.......nuf' said.

I don't know about the animation being a series, but I've always liked the idea of animated shorts like the old Mickey Mouse cartoons but having Sora in it. It would make him more of a Disney character to me.

I can't imagine a good way to make kingdom hearts into a movie, lol. I don't see how they could compress all of the worlds and plot into a 2 hour time period and have it not only make sense, but be good. An animated series I wouldn't mind, but I really would just prefer it if they spent their time working on the games instead.

I would love an anime too, but since Disney has to be involved, I really hope they never make one. Disney ruined Naruto, and I don't want to see them destroy Kingdom Hearts just to suit a bunch of first graders who might see it.

eh i mean an anime series , well what would they really have to work with i mean they cant just have every episode a disney world and they cant just have some with disney worlds and others without and with a movie u know thell find a way to Firetruck it up they always do , i mean could u imagine the humanity , Kingdom Hearts The Movie , The Game

call me crazy but id want a who framed rodger rabbet esque one the mixed real and cartoon brilliantly in that and i think that would be amazeing... but youd need to do it just right... perfect casting and cosplay or youd have alot of angry fans that might be a verry tall order... but it wiuld be epoch!...a anime would be great as well.. might broden kh fanbase too!

I don't think the manga does justice to KH, it's just not as good. Normally manga is good but KH as a game is a lot better and has a lot more depth. I think both the anime series and a movie would be good but I prefer a movie like Advent Children because it adds the additional depth that isn't seen in the manga.

Disney did not ruin Naruto. If you haven't realized the edits for content in Naruto are a lot less noticeable.

 

And KH and Naruto are two completley different things.
