thats passing for young literature today? what the hell?

that's a perfectly fine book... it can really help some kids who themselves in that situation :/

Wow..its just ....wow... sounds likeone of tese books i heard when was watching the knews they said it was called "go th f*** to sleep" o.o

Exactly what Koko said. I think it's good we have books like those, it shows we're starting to be a bit more open with these kinds of situations, because they do happen. And believe it or not, some kids need help in that sort of situation. :/

its ridiciulous

and kind of sick

.....what? O.O

I think this "kids" book is worse then some adult books it seems like a big joke i mean seriusly they wouldnt use the word gentleman in a kids book

whaaaa????

You guys are terrible.

You guys know this happens all the time

You guys know that if something like this happens to a child it could lead to depression and suicide

I'm glad there's a book like this

Some kids don't know that they should speak up when they're being molested

Some don't even know they're being molested

Some kids grow up their WHOLE LIVES confused about their sexuality and etc

BECAUSE SOMETHING LIKE THIS HAPPENED TO THEM.

it good to be open about it....but use language kids will understand...like "tell an adult you can trust" not "talk to your councilor"

Yeah, it's a situational thing. It could really help someone.

The worst children's book ever is "Everbody Poops". Have you seen that thing?! It's just... I can't even put it in words.

....

because kids totally don't understand what talking to your counselor is

they're not stupid, god.

I think the person who wrote it actually wanted to convey a message to young boys in girls in this situation. Sure it is a really akward book, but I believe it has some importance. Or alot. Just because you show this to a kid doesnt mean that they will still contact a consulor about this problem if they are dealing with it.

poor kid, even though it's a book.. The message of this book does reach out to many kids in this situation but at the same time it should be written to adults because they are more likely to comprehend it and mostly we don't want kids getting the wrong message...

umm? wtf!

needs better illustrations.

Sure, it can help people who were in a similar situation. But what about kids who never had this happen to them? What will they think?

If I read this to a 5 year old I know he would be confused and wonder if he in fact isn't normal because his uncle didn't touch him at night.

I just can't go for this, this is basically talking to a kid abut wrong sexual behavior, and how messed up people can be, and it's creepy. If a parent can't talk to they're kid about this, then they should wait till the kid's mature enough to understand and just watch him, not read him a book about a kid who was molested by his uncle, that should never happen. (even though it does at times)

I totally agree with you Koko.

Yea, i totally agree with pokebob.

Well.. this... just...wow...

I think this book is fine...somehow.

Thank you Venice

Well sure it's unusual, but it should be read BY the parents TO the children, so that they can explain and shiz.

About everyone poops...

"Everyone Poops by Taro Gomi is part biology textbook, part sociological treatise and all celebration of a very natural process. Both my daughters begged me to read the book over and over again. They marveled at the enormity of the elephant's poop and searched with the skill of a scientist for the tiny specks which represent bug poop. The text is simple and straightforward but not without humor. 'An elephant makes a big poop,' the book begins. 'A mouse makes a tiny poop. A one-hump camel makes a one-hump poop, And a two-hump camel makes a two-hump poop. Only kidding!' The colorful illustrations are eye-catching and deceptively detailed. The poop of each animal species is very distinctive in size, shape and color…A book which doesn't have any preachy overtones but merely explains where and how each living creature poops seems to work for my two-year-old. In fact, it's number one on the bathroom reading list at our house." - The Expositor

"...a great accompaniment to potty training. Young people need to accept their bodily functions, and if happy and colorful books like this help the cause, then I am all for it." - Kaboose

Wat

It's a fine book for the most part...but having daddy/mommy issues makes you gay? wutwutwut

wtf did i just read
