Hun, we can't pay them back if we don't have the money. Our economy is coming back, but we are still in a recession. You're joking when you say we lost before we started. You ARE kidding, right? Wars like the one we're in now don't end until one side is completely obliterated. And it's not going to be the US. It's going to take a few more years--likely that's where I'll end up being deployed to--but it's practically impossible for us to lose. Plus, the US has never lost a war before. We're not going to tarnish our reputation. We can't quit, anyway. If we quit, they'll still keep trying to kill us. They want us dead because we don't believe in Islam. According to your logic, China will wage war against the U.S. if Iraq war is lost. This makes no sense at all.

Not because they fear we won't buy their cheap products, but because they're smart enough to know that America is tied to pretty much every economy, and damaging it is practically suicide since dragging down America means dragging down the rest of the world with it. You people need to realize that America isn't some magic place, it doesn't have the answer to all of its problems, and the concept of nuking all of China over them calling in a debt that America owes them is stupid on so many levels, from the massive COST of nuking things, to the fact that it's an act of war, to the fact that the rest of the world would most likely turn on America, and it would most likely lose the support of the United Nations. Of course, considering how easy it is to convince people that nuking somebody is the only solution to a problem, I'm sure there wouldn't be many complaints in America.

Also, China having different ideals than us means nothing. Sure, we don't agree with the way they do things (Most of us) but this in no way affects them taking over America. And Capitalism isn't perfect either (In before 'I didn't say it was perfect!') in fact, it's horribly self destructive the way we're doing it now.

Not at all. We are starting to go the way the Roman's went (inflation, military too spread out, etc). However we have a few decades to correct our mistakes. Apart from economic troubles America is actually quite stable, corruption is nowhere as bad as it used to be, we are taking down a high ranked terrorist every day, and so on. If you want to look at countries that are about to collapse look at Greece, Turkey, and other troubled countries in Eastern Europe and Northern Africa. There are riots, martial law, loose government. America has none of these qualities.

We do, most of them are simply to stop doing what Bush and Obama have been doing. Nobody in office seems to have the intelligence to realize this.

Nuking things isn't really that expensive. That's why we were able to set of over 2000 of them for testing over the course of the cold war. It cost more money to decommission nukes than to build and even launch them. Most of the word would not turn on us for the reasons you stated about how the world goes to shit if America goes under. They would probably cut ties with America.

 

The United Nations my ass. It started as a nice idea, but now it's dissolved into a place where people gather to criticize the actions of the United States. Plus the UN is stationed in the United States, is funded mostly by the United States, and their "peacekeepers" are mostly US soldiers but now they wear light blue helmets. All of the UN's power (what little it has) exist solely because of the US.

 

Also nuking is still rather far fetched but we can always tell China to firetruck off and not pay the debt. If they want to fight over they can feel free. Capitalism is Heaven, Communism is hell. They are sworn enemies. One can't exist in peace unless the other is destroyed. Half the wars have been about ideals and it's not going to change, religion, politics, economics, no matter what. The only way peace can ever happen on earth is if one belief consumes all the others. And even then new ideas and new beliefs always appear.

 

And actually China is hardly communist anymore. They are practicing a relativity new thing called Controlled Capitalism. It's sorta the in-between of Socialism and Capitalism. It allows free markets but the Government still has a say in things.

 

People also have to remember that Communism and Capitalism are economic systems, not political systems. You can have a free market with a totalitarian government which is essential what China is.

Anyways, I'm taking 'Nuke China' at face value. Even if I didn't, it's a pretty populous place. You'd need a nuke so tactical it could split off into lasers the size of needles, which home in on the DNA of specific targets if you want to have a casualty rate of thousands.

The United States isn't razing villages and is doing exactly what the Canadians are doing. Setting up a democratic society, constructing schools, homes and utilities, as well as training the Afghan army to fight the Taliban once the US withdraws.
