I don't think fat people should have to change their lifestyle to be 'healthier'

Fat isnt a bad thing

You can be fat and healthy also

Just because someone is fat doesn't mean they're not healthy

As well, health is a privilege

Expecting people to try to be healthy is unfair because it's difficult for many

Instead of telling people to be healthy, tell them to be happy, it actually has a much better effect

As my degree in Dietetics states, I encourage all thin, average and overweight to all try to be healthy. Your health shouldnt be taken for granted. Take it from someone who is sick and suffers everyday and wishes they had their health. Its heartbreaking .

imo no one should tell anyone how to eat and exercise unless they ask????

people can still be obese and be happy

happiness > health imo

because again

not everyone has the privilege to be healthy

basically, like I said, some people aren't able to be healthy and some people don't care. imo it's no one's business but their own and their doctors

Took the words out of my mouth.

On an unrelated note.

I think that our public schools are making our children dumber and stifling the best gift of all; creativity. The arts and music are so important to help stimulate the imagination in our future generations. People say that art isn't important, you can't make money off of it. That might be true, but without supporting a child's imagination you kill all the future cool things in the world. It's how the internet and computers came about, someone imagined them.

Anything involving peoples bodies is their own business , no one elses. I just wish people wouldnt take their health for granted . It's foolish.

thissss

I think most people who complain about sales associates in retail stores wouldn't last a day in their shoes. We work exceptional hard to try and please every crazy demand you have, and have to listen to the same complaints day after day during our shifts. Do you think it feels good to have the company you depend on to support your family be talked down like that? How would you like it if I came to your workplace and started belittling the work you put so much effort in and tell you that your company was shit? Even if you'd agree, it'd still hurt if you heard it every single day.

I believe that everyone is equal and deserves to be treated with the same amount of respect as anyone else. However, despite my strong beliefs, I am still hindered by innate generalizations, stereo-types, etc. at times. For example:

There is no such thing as boy/girl names.

There is no such thing as boy/girls clothes.

I want to agree with this. I very much do, but inside I just can't. I feel terrible, it makes me a hypocrite, but I just can't agree. I know it is the truth, but my mind won't accept it as so. It kills me to know that I am victim to the very things I despise. However, it also helps me realize, that I can't possibly be the only one. I realize that humans, all of us, no matter what we believe, we all have a part of us that wants to betray the rest. No one is perfect, indeed, perfection is something we strive for and cannot achieve. But, we can always better ourselves by confronting the parts of us that wish to betray. Overcoming these obstacles is part of bettering ourselves. Overcoming the insecurities caused by these obstacles is also a part of bettering ourselves.

...Sorry for the monologue there. To get to the point, the "Unpopular Opinion" I have, is that we all have hypocrisy in us. For some the amount is small, but it is there. This is part of our human nature that we cannot deny. It is how we act and react towards our innate hypocrisy that makes us better or worse people for it. To know, yet deny it is there, or to know and simply ignore it, can only make us worse. To know, and to admit that we may be, or indeed are, wrong about it, makes you better. To be ignorant of it, is something I both wish I was, and am glad I'm not.

Nomura is a money-grubbing bastard... oh wait, it's UNpopular opinions... my bad.

I don't think it's wrong for a woman to want to be a stay at home wife.

I find the whole 'make me a sandwich' thing as funny as rape culture

aka it's not funny

it's sexist as firetruck, you can't get around it

i mean

tell that joke to someone, have them ask you WHY it's funny, and try to explain the joke without saying something along the lines of 'women are stupid'

because that's what you're saying

i dont understand how it's funny at all unless you are making fun of women and their intelligence and usefulness

just because women and men say it, doesnt mean it's okay

the connotation is that women are only there to cook and clean for men

so yeah

kindly be quiet

it's just firetrucking annoying when people try to make sexism into a joke when it's very real and present in the modern day

sexism isnt funny and it's not okay to try to trivialize it with degrading jokes

and not just sexism, but rape, racism, and anything other important topic trivialized by 'jokes'

also daniel tosh needs to be kicked off the air

While we're on the topic!

Sandwich's suckkkkkkk.

I only like turkey !!!!! And wraps!

That's it!

Justin Bieber is the best male singer.

DON;T GO BACK TO THEM GOD DAMN IT!

It's my opinion like if someone makes rules for a thread, they should at least adhere to them and not over react due a personal disagreement.

While that is the major connotation of the joke, if you look further back it is also a satire on the old ways of life back in ancient times when that's what women were forced to do. Everyone with a brain recognizes women are equal and we can safely poke fun at the individual sex. Many, many women also make fun of men in various ways. Very rarely is it truly hostile.

gomen but id ont see myself starting a war

You may post an opinion in response to another, but no full blown arguing and trying to convince someone that your opinion is 'right'

To be honest, I never actually thought of that way??//? that's actually a very good point!!! But in my experience, most of the time, that 'joke' has been used to tell women to shut up when expressing their opinion on something. And that is very sexist. Sadly, not everyone has a brain! Sexism still exists! Prejudice against men exists too! A lot of things people think are over and done with are still around and it's quite sad. And from what I see, a lot of times it's very and truly hostile. But this is, speaking from MY experience.

Most comments about the "sandwich" joke are just YouTube comments nowadays. And YT comments are nothing but negative energy for the most part. I personally was also satirizing the joke, in the sense that I shot myself before I would even allow myself to finish it.

Some ppl do find the shirt funny and that's it.

They ain't telling anybody to make them a sandwich, they just find it funny.

Mocking other people based on how they look is Not funny at all. That's just being a bully!!!! And if I recall correctly: NO ONE LIKES BULLIES!
