Y,E,S YES!

No. God's Eternal Plan will only work if man and woman intermingle.

So your saying that it's NOT okay for a man to marry a man and a woman to marry a woman?

Hmm, this is rather hard to explain- I'm a rather religious person, so I've definately got different opinions from the world, but I'm not afraid to express them.

Anyways, gay marriage has just been... I don't know... it's just something that I've been taught that we shouldn't do, and I agree with those teachings. The rest of the world can bash me for it, but I'm not afraid to express what I have to say about it. It's just not what is meant to be between the human race- there is a reason for different genders, and that is to reproduce. I don't think you can reproduce with gay marriage- call me out on that one if I'm wrong, because I'm not too sure on that fact.

So, all in all, I don't judge on whether or not someone's gay- I know a gay person in real life. I just don't like the idea. I respect your opinion, but that's what I have to say and nothing will change my mind, no matter how much the world tries.

I like the way you express your opinion, you're very polite about it, but there is one flaw in you're argument.

You say men and women are supposed to reproduce, but you also have to take into consideration women who are infertile and unable to become pregnant and reproduce. I don't think you would say that infertile women shouldn't get married.

But again, you are entitled to your opinion and I'm glad you express it in a way that isn't rude.

It doesn't affect me that much. I'm strait; however, I believe that anyone should marry anyone they want to, no matter if it's man marries woman, or woman marries woman, or man marries man.

I never said they couldn't do what they wanted.

You know- fine. Sorry for sticking up for what I believe in, guys. I'm always bashed for this.

I wasn't even talking about you lol, I was talking about people in general. Don't feel bashed, we are merely just having a debate.

We weren't bashing you! Sorry if you felt that way! We were merely expressing our thoughts on the matter, just like you were.

No one's opinion is wrong, and no one was bashing you and if I offended you somehow, I'm sorry I guess. But really, I'm sticking up for what I believe in as well. Don't be so quick to get offended, people can share opinions without it becoming a flame war.

I dn't see why they should. What are they doing stealing MY equal rights?

I'm from a pretty religious family and I understand why some people would reject the idea of gay marriage, but I myself see nothing wrong with it. Yes, the bible does say that marriage is between a man in a women; however it also says that god sent down a flood to kill humanity for wrong doings. Most of the things in the bible are meant to teach a lesson not be taking literally. Also and I guess I could be bashed by some people for this but doesn't it say or isn't it understood that God loves his people regardless of humanity. That being said couldn't the same thing be said for people in regards to their sexuality. To make a long story short, I think as creations of God, we are each special and and if he has allowed us to see someone of the same gender in a sexual way so be it. From a religious stand point, a relationship should be between three people, the two individuals directly involved in the relationship and God himself, no one else should have an opinion.

can i love you

well i say no, especially if majority of the certain state says no.

I say go for it. You're a guy/girl that just so happens to love another person of the same gender and you want to tie the knot, why not? *lol* You're same sex marrige isn't killing anyone or taking you to hell any faster than those who say hurtful/cruel things to you for doing so. Love is not biased people, get with the times! xD

Overall I feel like whatever law may be put in place won't effect me personally so I don't care but nor do I want to say it's wrong or bad for people to get married if they're of the same gender. I feel like if the two people want to get married then they should regardless of their gender. Who am I or any other person to say that it's wrong of them to do so? If they love each other that's good enough for me.

Well I go to a Catholic school, but personally I'm not really against it, but nonetheless I do find it 'weird'. Like for example, I say now that I don't mind, but if I was having dinner with my friend and he was gay and he was showing affection for his partner, I'd feel uncomfortable. Also, this will sound bad, but if my siblings or future children told me they were gay, I would have a sick feeling at the start. But I would accept it and love them for who they are.

I don't see why not, it doesn't harm anyone and doesn't go against human nature or just nature itself.

I think it should be permitted.

But then again, I don't know if it's just here in Brazil -- The government permitted that already here, but -- Just more crimes with homosexuals happened after it. The number increased sharply. Men who don't support that began to attack homosexuals way more than they did in the past. Also, there was a time when a judge created a mess, which ended up by almost making a marriage of two men doesn't happen. He said he is completely against it, but he was alone. The president and all the people from the government managed to stop him, and the marriage was allowed.

But, yeah, personally, I don't have anything against it. If they want to, then let them be happy and marry. This prejudice shouldn't exist anymore, I think. So, that's it. It should be, as long as they're happy, let them marry and enjoy life together.

I have yet to see any compelling reason or evidence why not.If they care for each other and want to contribute to the community and economy, any two people of consenting age should be able to live together and be afforded the protection of the law. I don't think people really understand some of the awful things that happen without it. Ever had your kid ripped out of yours arms because your love died?

People seem to have problems accepting people who are different than them. (race, religion, sex, interests, personality, etc) I'm not gay, so I do think it's weird for someone to be attracted to the same sex. However, I don't think they should be attacked for it. No one should be persecuted for being different.

So what if people want to live their lives differently than you? Sure it's not "normal" but that doesn't necessarily make it bad, does it? They aren't hurting anybody, so why does it matter so much to you? As long as no one is being hurt, I think we should let people live the way they feel is right.

*** I'm not really bashing anyone here - "you" can mean anybody. ***
