Earlier, Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance appeared at Jump Festa 2012 with a new 8-minute trailer. Square Enix's YouTube channel has been updated with the trailer, and this trailer can now be seen below in HD 720p with English subtitles. Ah, this is one of the finer things in life. The time when the Kingdom Hearts fanbase isn't divided and complains about which games in the series are spin-offs, that they want Nomura to just get to KH3, or talk about what characters are Mary Sues, but rather... when we can all join together and jizz over a freakin' awesome trailer of one of, if not the best, titles in the series so far.

 

I'm guessing that CG portion in the middle confirms that the game will have a pre-rendered opening, which settles my worries. Looks like we'll finally get a KH game with a CGI opening on a Nintendo system. I like that it seems to briefly showcase each game, like KH2's opening. I'm also guessing that Somebodies age even when they're Nobodies, which explains why Ienzo is older and Lea looks just Axel sans them marks under his eyes. The rest of the trailer just blows my mind. I don't even know why Xemnas and Ansem appear, when they're destroyed and Terranort is back - must be some dream world thing (which may or not explain Vanitas's appearance). Also... so many TWEWY characters that I don't know. O_O

 

Only complaint? Y U NO HAS TERRA, VENTUS, AND AQUA?! I guess we won't know until the game is released. Or maybe they're being saved for KH3. I dunno. And the Tron: Legacy world looks pretty darn cool. Reminds me of Tron: Evolution.

WOW! Well worth the wait since the last trailer being how long this one WAS! The CGI opening parts look really epic! That is what I really look forward to in a Kingdom Hearts game,the opening! Which is ironic because that is all it is,an opening... has nothing to do with the game except events that happened prior to the game it is intro-ing! But what can i say,their openings ARE EPIC! I cannot wait to see the full opening for KH 3D!
