baylaust 2,531 Posted March 5, 2012 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DRpl1acJVbI You may be wondering what this is. If you are, you probably didn't read the name of the video. This is a small food fight that occured at Eastdale high school, the school that I go to. Yes, I was actually in there, and no, you can't see me in the video. http://s1161.photobucket.com/albums/q516/baylaust/?action=view¤t=Thetruth.jpg But back to the point, last Friday, a food fight broke out in the cafeteria. I was sitting down peacefully, when a loaf of bread hit my ankle. Suddenly, people started screaming, and water, juice, a thing of strawberry syrup, and even a pineapple (who throws a pineapple?) are flying in the air. I knew that if I tried to get up and get away, I would be destroyed by the oncoming projectiles, so I threw up my hood, and sat face down on the table. As it died down, I managed not to get hit by anything, and I left. The cafeteria was closed for the rest of the day, and the hallway leading to it as well. Now, this is my last year in high school, so seeing a food fight was, honestly, a bit cool. However, that was only for a split second. If there's anything to be taught here, it's this: think. First off, that day happened to be the principle's birthday. Second, a Grade School was coming to visit on a tour of Eastdale. One of them took a poutine to the face. Third, a girl had a broken nose from getting hit in the face with a can of tuna.If there's anything to be admired, it's how much effort went into this. I learned that this had been planned for weeks, and some of the students had even payed off some Grade 10s to start fighting on the second floor to draw some of the teachers away from the cafeteria. Of course, they also talked about this on Twitter and Facebook (where you have your name and picture). Dozens of people have been suspended, and at least 6 students were expelled for causing injury to others. In addition to all of this, teachers could end up losing their jobs for being seen as unable to control the students, tons of student planned events are most likely down the crapper since we're now seen as immature children, and several people have been injured because of this. What's more, everyone sees Eastdale as a joke now. All of this because of a bunch of idiots thought it would be funny to start a food fight. In summary: think before you act. 17 Crisp Cucumber, Sora96, 4Everbee and 14 others reacted to this
Junko 2,815 Posted March 5, 2012 Wow. there was like there was like three fights at the same time at my school. I think everyone got more violent ever since we became a unified dress school..
Aqua7KH 5,395 Posted March 5, 2012 That looked so stupid, but awesome at the same time. I hope everyone that got hurt will be ok! Something like this cannot happen in my high school do to the fact that there is four different caffetereas, and separate periods of lunch so there is not that many kids. Loki 1,184 Posted March 5, 2012 It was my idea. Guess who didnt get suspended?
4Everbee 1,365 Posted March 5, 2012 I'm home schooled. I know a guy who goes to your school. I knew you went to that school. I told him to start the food fight. But really. Some teens think it funny cause they hate school and they think it ruined their lives. So they do this.
Marley_Aqua_33 265 Posted March 5, 2012 None of this happens in my school. First, different luch periods; Second, the canteen has some scary, manly cookers with those knifes and spoons... Just... gross...; Third, each of us, have been hearing that famous phrase from our mum's mouth, since ever: Eat everything and don't waste anything. Just think of those poor boys in Africa who are dying from lack of food!! And you're trowing it away!! Fourth, we are too cool to do a Food Fighting (Think as you want). _The Door To Light_ 1,507 Posted March 5, 2012 This could never happen at my school. We're already viewed as immature children, since you can receive detention from getting out of your seat just to get a packet of ketchup. We have to ask for permission to do anything or the consequences will be major on ridiculous levels. http://kh13.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/sleep.png

Amon 4,279 Posted March 5, 2012 My friends and I always like to laugh at upper middle class white kids (us) who try to act tough. Our school has never had a food fight because we are pretty sure that the principle was a former concentration camp gaurd. Though the inbreds like to fight with each other over trivial matters, one time one of the fighters had a broken arm but fought anyway, he got raped to our enjoyment. These fights aren't really fights but most of the time it's two idiots dancing around each other, throwing really bad punches and then essentially dry humping each other on the ground until someone decides to reset the fighters. One time just to see how it was like my friends and I showed up to one of these fights. Only we wore suits, had canes and tophats, fake handlebar moustaches, and fake monocles. We then spoke in really bad british accents and made bets annoying the inbreds that weren't actually fighting and were there because they thought it made them cool. Then the Waffen SS showed up to break the fight up and we GTFOed.
Space Cowboy 1,392 Posted March 6, 2012 There have been many fights at my school. But not with people throwing food....people throwing fists. Seriously, there has been at least 3 mosh-pit, riot like occurrences that have happened in the past two years. I've never been apart of a high school food fight, and I'd rather be hit by a banana than by someones left elbow.
XIIISwords 1,059 Posted March 6, 2012 On the last week of school in my school, students go nuts. To name a few. Food fights every other lunch period. Releasing live animals in the lunch room (snakes, mice, and a pig) Throwing towels into a kiln. Throwing marbles down the staircase. A Pacman suited person chasing three Ghost suited people. And filling the office with balloons. Only the last of which I found amusing.

Cheesepuffs16 1 Posted May 31, 2012 At my 8th grade school, we couldn't have food fights because... 1: There are only like 32 kids in the whole school, only 5 are 7th and 8th graders. http://kh13.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/ohmy.png 2: The teachers let's just say... to control kids, they watch WWE. JK! they put kids in restraints. 3: There are cameras in every classroom, including the lunch room. I finally graduated from that school. FREEDOM! Lu Xun 2,069 Posted June 2, 2012 Can't watch it, but I've never seen fights for food at my school...
rikufan25 170 Posted June 2, 2012 I've seen a food fight at school, but it wasn't as bad as that. Food fights are awesome

Who plans something like that on a site like Facebook where anyone can see it and know exactly who is in on it? I'm surprised that the food fight happened at all... if there were posts made weeks in advance then surely someone saw it and could have told a teacher / the administration? At my school then some of the teachers themselves even had Facebook accounts...Second, why even plan a food fight to begin with? There are much cooler pranks that these students could have come up with. In addition to all of this, teachers could end up losing their jobs for being seen as unable to control the students, tons of student planned events are most likely down the crapper since we're now seen as immature children, and several people have been injured because of this. Not sure how it is where you come from, but where I come from there is no way that a teacher could end up fired for something like that. Unless the teacher knew about it ahead of time and did nothing or helped the students or something. It's not the teacher's job to make sure students don't hurt each other. And if a teacher really ended up fired for that then that teacher would have grounds to sue the school or have the union do something about it...
