Describe your first time playing kingdom hearts and when you first got the game ( first one )

i first got the game for christmas many many many many years ago. i'm not even sure what year......if i had to guess, probably 2003 or so. when i first played i thought it was epic and confusing at the same time..........i pretty much feel the same about the series to this day!

well, the first kh game i got was 358/2 days and i finished the game within a few days, the end

Well this first time I played KH1 I turned to my best friend and said, "Why didn't you make me play this sooner?!". Then I got my own copy of KH1 for christmas some years later after I had played the other games.

i got kingdom hearts at a gamestop somewhere, after being recommended to me by a friend. we were final fantasy nerds, i we had just finished our massive final fantasy x playthrough/discussion. he was all like, "yo, there is this new game by the same dudes that made ffx, check it out bro". and i was all like, "no way, lets roll."

 

yea we were pretty cool kids

 

but really, i got it soon after it came out, and went straight home to play it. i instantly fell in love, and couldnt get enough. i remeber spending hours on destiny island, just, enjoying myself, battling riku. please someone tell me they remember battling riku, all like WTF IS THIS SHIT? oh and the questions before the game started. i was like, where am i and what is this?

 

in the end i fell in love and thats all my friends and i talked about it for months. however it wasnt until kh2 until i became a die hard. there is a difference between loving a game, and joining a forum online specifically for it lol. this is real love

Got Blockbuster's last copy. Other than that, I don't remember much from that specific time.

I finally decided to get a copy when I was at best buy looking for another game saw KH and decided to give a try.

And well here I am today

 

When I first played it I guess the words in my mind were man this game is different . I can't remember the word I thought exactly.

I got Kh1 in 07. Couldn't beat the second dang boss. It only took 3 years T_T and sad part is after that I beat the game too days later.

Back in 2005/06 I was at my friends house, and she showed me Kingdom Hearts for the verrry first time. She had just started playing and when she showed it to me she was in the Tarzan world, saving Jane from that cave thingy.

 

I remember seeing it and thinking: No way! A game with Disney Characters! This is awesome!!!!

 

*Here's the strange thing--she remember she handed me a controller, and I swear I played as Donald--I swear it!!!

 

Anyway--three years or so pass, it's about... 2009 maybe, and my other friend and I go to Game Stop and I see Kingdom Hearts on the rack for $10. I convinced her how amazing this game was (even though I only played for like.. 5 minute as Donald--I swear it!!) She bought it and we played it, and it wasn't until about... an hour into the game we realized nothing in the game was making sense, and we were wondering where all the Disney Characters were and why the screen keep fuzzing up and showing all these flashbacks. Turns out we were actually playing Kingdom Hearts II instead of the original Kingdom Hearts.

My little brother begged me to play it and i finally broke down and tried it and was obsessed from that point after.

i think i got it about a month or 40 days after it first came out, i played through to the third world, i forget what it was, and i was hooked ever since

The funny thing is, is that we looked at the case and the case that we bought was indeed Kingdom Hearts I. it was just the disc. The worker at the store must've goofed up and gave us the second one.

(But no worries, we did see the KHII game there as well, and it was also $10, so we didn't really cheat them out of any money. We just didn't have enough at the time to buy both of them.)

I played 358/2 days first. My syblings have allways liked it and one day in the car I was playing Zelda and got stuck so I said allright, I'll play kingdom hearts. BEST DESSION OF MY LIFE!

That's complicated.... in late summer 2010, my 2nd favorite Let's play-er (Grandpyromania) started a KH playthrough and it got me interested. I stopped watching after a while though v.v.

Then a few months later, I was in art class and someone (who later became my crush ) drew a keyblade and I was like "is that a keyblade?". So some time later I asked questions. Eventually I decided that I should watch a walkthrough since I doubted I would get the games (I only played Nintendo back then). Soon I got bored....

 

Winter break late 2011. I ordered a PS2 and KH1 for Christmas... sorta. I told her I wanted to know the games in chronological order and she said BBS comes first. I then watched a long walkthrough and a few days later my PS2 came. Another few days and I got KH. So that's kinda my history with KH
