What did you think of the English trailer of KH3D?

 

Really nice, can't wait for this game!!!

I FREAKING LOVED IT!!!! Although sora sounded a little old for his body.....and joshua sounded like a little girl.....even more than his grunts in twewy......

The one who doesn't want to get spoiled... WTF, person. It's just the special trailer with english voices. I don't want to get spoiled too and, still, I saw the video.

I personally believes that he either got some of his facts wrong or miss spoke. He says he voiced a small extra piece; a small extra role in the last game. Young Master Xehanort had a small role in BbS but, he does not at all have a small role in KH3D.

He also says in the video that when you hear it, it'll probably sound just like him. In BbS we can easily hear that Young Master Xehanort is voiced by David, but in the new trailer the voice is nothing like David's.

 

He may have misspoken, but all we have to go off of is what he said, for now. Besides, it's possible that YMX, despite being an antagonist, may not have a large amount of lines in Kingdom Hearts 3D. Therefore, to him it may have been a small role. Also, when he said it'll sound just like him, he along with everyone else laughed, as if it were a joke. He also said that he was practicing broadening his voice range.

Actually, he did confirm it back when he confirmed that he would be playing Riku.

Go down to the bottom of the page and play the video with David Gallagher and the Sora cosplayer. He confirms it, saying that he voiced him in a game that has not been released yet at around 8:45. At that time, that game would've been Kingdom Hearts 3D.

 

Although, personally i think that YMX sounds a lot like Benjamin Diskin who voiced Sai in Naruto.

Nice! That makes me feel pretty good that I was able to pick that out lol. Problem is that this is still early and posted on Wikipedia. Plus, Benjamin Diskin's Wikipedia page hasn't even been updated to say this. But, in that case JTD95 was probably right in saying that David misspoke and was referring to Birth By Sleep.

 

Too bad I don't like this voice for YMX. lol

David says in the video that he plays all the games. Whether he finishes them or not is another thing.

I haven't spoiled anything but I'm pretty sure you'll fight Young Master Xehanort at some point during the game which would mean that there are also battle cries involved in the recording.

The reason David doesn't know if the others are done or not is because Square Enix doesn't tell him.

I just feel like he sounds too sophisticated. lol which i guess Old Xehanort speaks in a pretty sophisticated manner, as well. I just didn't picture his younger self sounding that way. Maybe, it had to do with believing that David was going to voice him. So, when I pictured his voice it sounded similar to Riku's.

Beisdes Square giving us a crappy trailer of the VA's on their first day of recording KH3D, they didn't even add the goldfish line, which made this trailer not worth watching again.

it could have been better. They literally showed us the same trailer as we already saw in valentines day, except this time characters spoke english

i already spoiled myself when i saw it in japanese now if i see it in a language i understand i'll spoil myself even further, and that i ain't doing

I couldn't help notice that the battle scenes still were in japanese.

 

And Young Xehanort's voice sounds a bit weird.

I loved it... but I feel like everyone sounded kinda different

David Gallagher never confirmed to voice Young Master Xehanort. He said he voiced him as an extra small part in Birth by Sleep. He never said anything about reprising the role in 3D.

 

 

It wasn't really any mistranslations. They always changes some of the dialog in the English version.

Everyone saying David is voicing YMX in this game.....I've never facepalmed so many times in a 24 hr span. x'D

 

The more times I watch this trailer, the more in love I am with the voices...they're perfect! \>w

Ive been waiting for them to finally release an english trailer i loved it, i didnt really notice anything different with Sora's voice like everyone keeps saying tho, like its the same voice they used for him in Re:Chain of Memories. I like the voice they are using for Young Master Xehonort. The game looks amazing and i cant wait to play it. I think there is going to be a lot of good diologue too, like one of the lines from the trailer i really liked was YMX talking to Riku: "This wakeless sleep will be your prison, to wander forever." I dunno i liked it

They've probably just changed around when he says what. In the Japanese trailer he says something along the lines of, "You were the one I originally chose" and "The time for my revenge is near". While in this trailer they've changed around with the dialog which means that he still says those two other lines, but not during the exact same scenes as the Japanese version.

tutti frutti. For me, I'm still kind of iffy since NA Square seemed to just use the Japanese trailer for the Engish VAs. YMX does sound more sophisticated, but I guess that kind of has to do with what I've read about him possibly having the ability to control time (which I'll find out when the game comes out) or even what he has experienced through the course of the series that has caused him to be calm and collected. Outside of the Disney characters, and Riku, the NA VA do sound kind of different to me, but I guess that's something that may change for me over time. To me, the voices usually end up sounding better in the game itself over the trailers that are released early on. Definitely looking forward to this game nonetheless.

I think some peeps need to relax. This is hardly an indication of the finished product . I just loved finally getting to hear English voices .

It was alright. I was more stoked that we finally got our own trailer instead of just a re-dub.

I died of Awesomeness...

I found it quite off to be honest. to me it seems like it was rushed.
