Square Enix have announced a collector's edition for Kingdom Hearts 3D [Dream Drop Distance] in North America, called the Kingdom Hearts 3D [Dream Drop Distance] MARK OF MASTERY EDITION. This set will release on North America on July 31, 2012 for a price of US$54.99! It contains the following:

 

- Kingdom Hearts 3D [Dream Drop Distance] Game, the seventh entry into the series

- 12 Kingdom Hearts 3D Art Cards with chronicled art from the full series

- 5 Augmented Reality (AR) Cards that unlock rare Dream Eaters

- 360° display viewer for in-game Dream Eaters

- Nintendo 3DS Protector Case specially designed for Kingdom Hearts 3D

Some of the Dream Eaters that this bundle unlocks are Meowjesty, Frootz Cat and Kab Kannon, the last two of which have of course just had their English names revealed from this. A photo of the Mark of Mastery bundle can be seen below. It looks amazing, definitely worth it!

Update 2: An Amazon page has now been created for pre-order for US fans. The price is listed as $54.99, a mere $15 dollars more than the game by itself. Thanks to Loki from KH13 for the find.

Secondly , there were wayyyy more NA peeps saying congrats about the release date than complaining ( including me ). ... So posting that comment was unneccessary.

 

I posted my initial comment not in any form of whining, I couldn't care less if you guys get a collectors edition enjoy the thing it's a nice edition to release and anyone who gets it enjoy the sentiment as we all know NA didn't get one for BbS (unless that stickers bundle counts?). I am in no way implying that we will get a special edition, like there is no hint we are, I am merely just saying that I hope we do. Jfc, calm down you took what I said out of context, clearly. I am using common sense that with the anniversary there we can't be forgotten. Japan got something (obviously) and now America gets something as well.

Dang. And here I thought I was late preordering the game and now I have to cancel it At least I'm going grocery shopping today so I can just swing by and get it canceled quickly. I'm going to hold out until Gamestop has their preorder page. They carried the BBS PSP bundle so I doubt they wouldn't have the collector's edition.

So last week I pre-ordered KH3D from Gamestop and instead of the minimum $5 that I usually do, I paid in full out of excitement. Is it possible to change my pre-order to this (if it's at Gamestop) or get my money back to go towards this instead? Or is it too late...
