Everyone here wants Kingdom Hearts on a current gen system. Just like the Sly Cooper series, Devil May Cry series, Jak And Daxter series, and even the God Of War series has am HD collection currently out for those who want to bring the past to the future.

 

HOWEVER.....if you are someone like me, you have so much admiration for our little KH franchise, that you want something more. Do I want KH on my PS3? Yes. Do I want to see it in HD? Yes? Will an HD collection cut it? No.

 

Why? Because I have ideas. Ideas that blow an HD collection out of the water (or at least in my POV...) Ideas that give an series its proper respect...

 

Here's my basic layout: We have 7 canon titles to work with, and 4 I consider the most prominent: KH1 and KH2 (obvious choices), BBS (popular up the ass), and DDD (soon to be a smash on the 3DS, I can already tell). I'd like to see KH1 fully redone using the BBS/DD engine with cameras fixed to DDD standards, and every single piece of content from the original and Final Mix versions intact. Oh yeah, and possibly a new voice actor for Sora that can be as good as HJO was, just for lulz. KH2 should have the same treatment as well. BBS just needs some tweaking and some FM stuff thrown in and that'll be it. DDD should be a simple port, if possible. After all, we have 3D TVs now, so it seems easier than you think...

 

Now the rest of the games (COM, Days, Coded)....I'm not sure. I get the vibe that they're not really as valued as much as the other titles, which is understandable. BUT, maybe we have a tidbit where we can go through the most important parts of each game. We'll have that as unlockables for when you beat KH1 / KH2, or something.

 

Well, I've talked long enough. Leave your comments below and give me some ideas, as well as your thoughts on whether or not this is a good idea or not.

 

P.S. No, I don't want this before KH3, and YES, I know this sounds like a truckload of work to do and I shouldn't put this much stress on Normura. But hey, if he wants my money.....

I wonder if they will do that after Kingdom Hearts 3, that way they will have the engine all set. Not to mention the graphics and gameplay would be intense.

 

But all in all, I wouldn't mind a simple HD Collection.

Why does everyone disregard CoM? Just because the gameplay kind of sucked doesn't mean it's not important. In fact, CoM is pretty important. It plays a lot into KHII.

I get wat your saying for coded, and days. But simply all they need to do is to improve the graphics to PS2 standards, or HD if we get lucky, and add more voiced cutscenes instead of speech bubbles.

 

as for CoM, it is already remade for PS2, but it couldnt hurt to remake it again to HD graphics. also they should tweck the gameplay of CoM a little bit more so It can be more exciting.

I'm not saying it's not important. However, it's not the first title I think KH players would go nuts about concerning an HD remake. Although, I do agree that yes, it is really important considering it is the true first sequel to Kingdom Hearts, before people decided to dispel any KH game not on the PS2.

 

New idea: COM remake with Days unlockables. KH1 remake doesn;t have the COM unlockables and instead....uh, fill in the blank.

An HD collection? Just release all the final mixes in english in one package.

Well, my point is that Days and Coded shouldn't really be a focus b/c of their lack of popularity and because of their overall credibility. If we put the most important points in the story like certain cutscenes or battles as like a mini-game (not Mario Party mini-games or anything like that. I mean a small game inside a bigger game (GAMECEPTION?)) Anyways, this'll appeal more to the fanbase as well as the casual KH fan.

 

BTW, i have no problem with tweaking COM's gameplay. Great idea.

Considering Nomura said you don't really need COM because theres so much stuff in KH2 to understand the story(along those lines).

...well yeah, he's the creator. Of course it makes sense to him. Ha ha. I played KHII first (by accident) then played KH1. Although I felt like I understood what was mostly going on, playing through CoM answered a lot of my questions. It made things clearer. Like a window after using Windex.

Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts 2 with either Chain of Memories or Birth by Sleep, with Final Mix stuff of course, but it would most likely be Chain of Memories, heck I would just be happy if they only had Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts 2 in the HD collection as long as its Final Mix stuff, heck even if it didn't have Final Mix stuff, the point is I would love a HD collection lets face it there is many games we want to have an HD collection of that they haven't said will be, so we just have to wait and hope for the best.

I stopped reading when you said you wanted a different VA for Sora.

 

All I really want remade is Days, and a version of Re:CoM for Europe. I'd buy an HD Collection without hesitation, but only if it includes what I just said.

I'm not the creator and it made sense to me. lol Also, the Ansem reports in KH2 pretty much explained what happened in COM.
