The Economy is killing me!

Recommended Posts

So I'm not going to college this semester because no money and Loans aren't best for me because I have a bad job. Anyway I want to find a new job, I live in New York BTW. So no one is really hiring because it's summer and the economy sucks. I hope that I find a job soon. I'm applying to GameStop when I get 3D on tuesday but that's about it. I just wish more places were open for staff positions

Good luck finding a job! For me, as brazil isn't with it's economy in crisis, I guess it won't be that hard... But since I study all day, I'll try to give classes for new students next year or in 2014... I guess they pay $250, which isn't that bad for me, considering that you teach 2 hours per day during four days of the week.. But I'm thinking if I should apply next year or wait a little more...

Agreed. We should kill them all!

That is the worst plan I've ever seen. Everyone that reads your comment will inevitably become less intelligent than before they stumbled upon this thread.

I feel your pain. I wanted to get a summer job to save up for school but no one is hiring. I'm hoping that once I get involved with Uni that opportunities will open up. Just don't give up your long term goals for the short term ones. Like hatok said, getting to know professors and being active in the school and community can help you find work that is more related to what you do.

I have a job, but even though for the past months there was so much work I had to do 9 hours a day and work even on Saturday, now there's suddenly nothing to do, and it's so bad there's the risk the place will have to close.

Get the school loan. If you graduate with a degree in something that isn't pointless and you can actually make money off of (for instance, NEVER major in philosophy or anything like that, because all you can do is become a philosophy teacher. It's the ONLY job you can get, and there's prolly nowhere hiring.) then you can get a new job and quit your bad one now. Don't drop out of college, or chances are you'll spend your whole life barely scraping by.

EDIT: or as has been suggested, join the military. You protect the people you love, have a job you're not going to get fired from, and free food and board. Though the Marines has been suggested, if you do take this path, join the service that is right for you. Not everyone is cut out to be a Marine.

I don't get why every country except for Australia has fallen into a recession during this "Global Recession Crisis". Countries should have done what we did.

Thank you Kevin Rudd!
