Critical Mode...is actually a challenge

Posted

Wow, for once Critical Mode is actually a challenge in KH3D. i just started critical Mode and i must say, I'm a little shocked yet very impressed at the same time. I'm actually stuck on a boss (Hockomokey). Birth by Sleep and Re: Coded's Critical Mode wasn't much of a challenge. They felt like Proud Mode only with less health to me. But KH3D Critical Mode is actually hard like it should be.

What do you guys think of KH3D's Critical Mode?

I am dying! Every time I enter a link portal I have to jump or get away immediately otherwise I am destroyed! Anyone who is trying a level 1 run through is not going to make much progress!

I was surprised at how much harder it was than BBS's Critical Mode. For me, BBS's Critical Mode was actually easier than Proud Mode because of extra deck commands. Unfortunately I was not patient enough to play Re: Coded through on Critical.

Well bbs critical mode is harder for me because my along stick gives alot of trouble.re coded crtical mode is not that hard, its a bit channgling when doing a lv 1 playthough

Thank you! This is for all the people who said that KH3d was too easy to enjoy!

its not that bad if u actually take the time to do stuff with the dreameaters and get abilities and get high level commands early on

The first bosses? Pffft. Easy.

Wait till you get to the final ones, lol.

Be afraid...be VERY afraid muahaha. Lol jk, anyway don't be afraid of the challenge. Challenges are what make things more interesting and fun.

Looking forward to it then. They were just too easy on Proud

This is the first game i've actually started playing on Proud mode first (as oppose to standard first so when I do play proud I ain't playing blind) and to be honest i've found easier than I would have expected. I'd actually compare it with BBS on standard. Then again, since I go around looking for treasure chests and stuff I normally end up 5 levels above the minimum combat level in a world. The most i've died is the life cycle for riku (i'm terrible at racing games), in battle i've probably struggled/died 3 or 4 times just (I still have two worlds to go though, unlocking my spirits hidden paths first)

Whenever I decide to stop being lazy and play KH3D on critical.....I will further confirm this.

I'm on the final boss doing a level 1 critical mode run. I also decided to stick with using the original keyblades too.

Can't count how many times I've died doing this run though.

I found this really really easy xD I mean I have firaga break dark aura ars arcanum and sonic blade really early like the second travserse town visit so yeah and I only died in recoded because the deaths were cheap stupid eleminator..

well for starters SCREW THE ATTACK COMMANDS DOESNT MATTER IF THE FIGHT LAST 20 MINS JUST LOAD IT WITH CURE(A)(GA) AND POTIONS AND SUCH

Whats the fun in that ;o

It's so freaking hard. I blazed through both standard and proud, but this... this is just insane. I'm only at The Grid, and I've already died more times than I can count (especially in Special Portals) Some normal DE's can one-hit KO you, almost. It's crazy.

Am I the only who isnt getting a challenge? O.o

No, it was easy for me too but more harder than bbs

WHIPING A boss with your keyblade for 20-35 minutes while you contantly heal

I think the point of Critical Mode is learning to survive. I will admit it is frustrating but I learned to get through it with only one cura in my deck. Later bosses trying to use normal attacks won't get your very far, well.. I don't know if I can vouch for that since I'm as weak as you could possibly be.

I don't think Critical Mode is necessarily the challenge. I think the challenge is in how much you limit yourself.

Well, I am at currently at Hockomonkey (taking a little break since i died 4 times from the boss so far) so i haven't gotten that far into the game yet to see how challenging Critical mode is in all the other worlds. But I may be losing because of the fact that this is the beginning part of the game.

Thanx god this is the hardest KH at the date.

Tips mmm Second chance and one more? xD

2 cures, BALOON, BALOON MAKES MIRACLES.

Before this game came out in English, didn't people who had played the Japanese version say it was the hardest KH game? Because it seems like everyone here is saying "Lol, it's so easy!" And it's actually not any easier OR harder than any other KH game IMO, I find them all the same.

No, it was easy for me too but more harder than bbs

Terra was so slow I payed my friend to get me up to the final boss xD I like rikus a fast MUCH FASTER terra even faster then sora if you get his dark slide ablity
