As much as I am happy to hear that there will be a HD collection of KH1, Re: CoM , and Days (in cutscene form) what about FFX HD? They announced it like a year ago and they haven't said a word about it. I've never played FFX before and I heard great things about the game. I hear it's on par with FF7 in terms of being one of the most popular FF games of all time. I even listened to all of the soundtrack when i heard it was getting an HD update. And I must say, the soundtrack is amazing imo. But yeah Square, what happened to FFX HD? I was expecting that to show up at some point of the first day of TGS since the reMIX got announced. I mean COME ON it's taking them this long to make the FFX HD remaster but it only took them a day to announce the release of the KH HD collection?

I was going to get FF X until I heard about the HD remaster... But it's taking so long.

i havent played FFx either so when i heard of FFXHD i was excited to play it and now we dont know when it is coming out Also do you think there will be a FF12HD? because i never played that either

Well, the only reason why they even made FFX HD was because they couldn't afford the time to make a HD remake of FF7 (Square-Enix, themselves stated that btw) so they made a HD remaster of FFX since that was really popular among FF fans. Though I'm not sure if they will remaster FF12 considering how terrible it got reviewed and how a lot of fans seem to hate it. But can't sat it isn't possible either.

Well they are seperate teams...maybe X HD is nearly finished so they figured they'd announce KH HD

Just buy FFX used, it's a really great game, and personally I don't think FF12 needs an HD edition, it's still pretty recent.

It does for those that have a PS3 Slim and no PS2, and more recent games than FFXII have gotten HD remasters. I really wished they would hurry up though. I really want FFX back!

I kinda hoped for that too, but it didn't show which is bad, I hope for remakes to FFVII and VIII too

FF9 and FF10 are my favorites, and I've played FF12 and I really didn't like it. It's an interesting use of gameplay and sidequests but the characters and the story just didn't work for me. That's why I'm having so much doubt for the FF franchise now, it's like Square lost whatever magic they had.

Wow, really? I feel the opposite. I hated 10, the characters were atrocious and the story seemed like a generic recycled tragic love story. FFXII...I loved every single thing about it to be honest. Every single character was spectacular, and the story was the best since VI. I guess everybody just likes something different. -shrug- But that's okay.

Final Fantasy X remake is probably still coming out.

I have played FFX, but it is not great. FFX-2 was a disaster. FFX's story was too plain and very predictable.

I guess it was just the hype of the time in all.

I wish that they would remaster FFVII, but they probably won't.

I have hopes in Verses though.

I expect KH 1.5 to be released before FFX HD.

I really want to like Yuna, because I love how she's carrying the weight of the world on her shoulders out of a sense of duty (she's the ultimate Utilitarian), but she's just so... clingy and unable to stand on her own that I have a hard time getting behind her. If she was even just a little more independent I would back her all the way, but yeah. Getting captured that many times is pretty awful.

 

Everyone else is teeth grindingly irritating. Rikku's school-girl act instantly kills any and all dramatic tension everytime she opens her mouth. Seymour is the most obvious villain in the world. Lulu has no point. Wakka's made into so much of a caricature that he diminishes the story just by his presence.

 

I really want to type out why, in contrast, the cast of XII is so great, but that is going to take a while, and will probably take its own thread. Just know that Ashe is one of the best examples of a complicated character that you can find in the series.

Did we even get a website for FFX HD? It's a bit suss. There's been nothing except an announcement and a message confirming it's a remaster.

 

FFX is a very long game with a lot of content but we should still have heard something by now.

I think I love you. I would start a shameless thread fawning over FFXII, but I know people would just come bash on it. Maybe a fanclub in the random section.

 

I did notice how you left out Khilmari. I find him the most interesting character out of the bunch, and the ONLY one I like. Mostly because he barely talks.

FFX is my favorite game of all time, haha. And I was also kinda disappointed that more info. hasn't been given. But, like others have said, it is a REALLY long game, considering side-quests and all. I imagine it'll be a while.

Both of those games can be beaten in less than an hour if your decent enough. FFX is about 50 hours at the fastest and has alot more techinical values to it than the SH games. So it could be another year or so.

In Silent Hill, they did some major revamping, including completely redoing the voice acting. Also, FFX is an RPG, by definition, it'll be longer than most games, there really aren't that many areas, and if they don't redo the animation or graphics, it'll be done in no time (Though I hope they fix the jittery animation )

I feel hesitant about FF remakes/masters. It's not the same as just porting the games to different systems like they have in the past. I'm scared of SE deciding to change things, make it the way they 'really' envisioned it. AKA go all George Lucas/DMC revamp on our childhoods.
